재일T한국학교 중고등부를 중심으로 배려윤리의 적용방안 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 연구자가 2012년 4월부터 2014년 3월까지 재일T한국학교 중고등부 도덕교사로 근무할 당시 일본식의 개인주의 성향의 문제점을 인식하면서 시작되었다. 일본 사회를 살아가고 있는 청소년의 도덕교육을 담당하는 교사로서 어떤 도덕교육의 방향이 재일T한국학교 중고등부에게 필요한 것일지 고민하였다. 현대 사회는 배려의 요구가 절박한 상황이다. 특히나 일본사회의 도덕적 무관심, 이기주의, 서로간의 단절과 소외 등과 같은 도덕적 문제들은 심각하다. 이러한 문제를 인식하고 일본 사회에서 살아가는 청소년들을 위해 이러한 사회문제를 극복할 수 있는 적절한 도덕교육이 필요하다고 인식하였다. 이들에게 필요한 도덕교육의 방향으로 나딩스의 배려윤리에 주목하였다. 배려윤리는 타인에 대한 사랑, 애착과 책임감, 희생과 봉사, 상호연관성과 인간관계 등을 도덕성의 주요 요소로 중시한다. 인간은 삶의 거의 대부분이 타인과의 관계 속에서 배려의 행동이 요구된다. 우리는 타인을 배려할 줄 알아야 하며, 최상의 배려 행동을 위해서는 특수한 배려의 태도를 알 필요가 있다. 현대 사회는 재외 동포 교육이 강조되고 있는 시대이다. 일본 사회를 살아가는 한국인 학생들도 날로 그 숫자가 늘어나고 있다. 현재 4개인 재일T한국학교 중 한국의 교육과정에 따라 교육을 하고 있는 국제학교는 동경의 T한국학교 뿐이다. 재일T한국학교의 중고등부의 도덕교육은 한국에서 초빙된 현직 도덕교사에 의해 한국의 도덕교과서로 이루어진다. 그러나 일본이라는 특정 사회의 현실과 괴리된 한국에서의 도덕교육을 그대로 적용하는 것보다는 재일T한국학교 학생들을 위한 도덕교육의 방향이 무엇보다 절실하다. 교육은 그들의 특성과 필요에 맞는 교육이 이루어질 때 학생들의 건설적인 삶에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있기 때문이다. 본 연구는 재일T한국학교 중고등부의 특성을 이해하고 배려윤리의 적용 방안을 다음과 같이 제시한다. 첫째, 차이를 배려할 수 있는 도덕교육을 강조한다. 재일동포를 위한 교육은 그들 서로간의 차이를 인정하는 것에서 시작하는 데 교사는 다른 문화에 대해 고정관념을 갖지 않고, 학생들의 문화적 차이를 인정하고 이해해야 한다. 둘째, 배려교육의 실천으로 봉사활동을 강조한다. 재일한국학교 학생들은 봉사활동을 통해 교내에서는 학생들 상호간의 배려의 기회를 실천할 수 있는 계기가 되고, 교외에서는 일본사회를 살아가는 한국인으로서 일본인들에게 긍정적인 한국인의 인상을 심어줄 수 있는 민간 외교에도 기여하는 등의 효과가 높다. 셋째, 도덕적 대화를 토대로 한 인간관계의 중시이다. 일본 사회를 살아가는 한국학교 학생들은 일본사회의 영향을 받기 때문에 일본식의 개인주의의 부정적 측면을 경험하게 된다. 예를 들어 이기주의의 만연, 타인에 대한 무관심, 개인간의 단절과 고립 등의 상황을 겪을 수 있다. 이런 것을 극복하는 대안으로 연구자는 배려에 기초한 도덕적 대화와 인간관계의 윤리를 강조한다. 그리고 넷째, 학교 구성원 전체가 배려에 기초한 도덕 공동체가 될 것을 강조한다. 본 연구는 연구자가 재일T한국학교 중고등부 도덕교육을 전담했던 경험을 바탕으로 하였다. 따라서 아직까지 부재했던 일본 사회를 살아가는 한국학교 학생들을 위하여 배려윤리의 적용 방안을 연구하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.;This study began when researchers are aware of the problem of individualism at the time of Japanese to work from April 2012 to March 2014 in Japan T Korean moral teacher secondary school.
