개량단소를 활용한 중학교 특기ㆍ적성교육 지도방안

Abstract

The purpose of the study is designed to develop a teaching guide which provides intriguing and useful musical education for middle school students and leads to the discussion of utility of modernized Korean musical instruments. Danso has been frequently appeared in music texts from primary to high school due to its beautiful tone. However, teaching and learning of Danso is limited to one-time class since pieces of music are often restricted, keeping students from taking deeper interest in learning. To deal with this problem, this thesis suggests teaching modernized Danso alongside in-depth training in conventional Danso. Modernized Danso is an expanded version of conventional one by adding two more finger holes so that a player can make more varied tunes based on heptatonic scale. This is learner-friendly because students are more familiar with the heptatonic scale. By utilizing modernized Danso, a teacher may be able to expect to provide more various musical experiences to learners with more diverse musical pieces without spoiling the original sound of it. Also the lessons are linked to the introduction of modernized Korean traditional musical instruments. As boundaries between cultures from different countries became blurred, Western music flowed into Korean music scenes. This influx has influenced Korean traditional music field under the name of ‘New traditional music of Korea’ which demanded music tunes be made based on Western heptatonic scale, and, in turn, Korean traditional musical instruments were modernized accordingly. It is necessary for learners of Danso to be aware of these changes in Korean traditional musical instruments. Therefore, this lesson first provides further information and various views toward modernized musical instruments, connecting to a discussion which will lead students to build up their own perspectives. This process will help learners to have critical views about Korean traditional music. Teaching guidance of modernized Danso for a talent and aptitude music class also helps expand extracurricular after school. It has been pointed that musical learning programs are not developed well enough while the importance of extracurricular gets higher and higher. Suggested lessons will make students learn modernized Danso through in-depth learning opportunities and play various tunes, experiencing familiar but new lessons. This teaching guide is composed of 10 lessons in total. The tunes were collected with reference to revised curriculum of 2009 to have contents connection. The total of 5 pieces were selected: e.g. two Western Music pieces, two pop music pieces, one new traditional Korean music tune. The lesson guidance is developed with reference to instrumental learning design model in Instrumental Module learning. Lessons are geared up for learners to practice basic skills first, and then to visualize music, and finally to play the tunes. Also they contain various musical expressions for the learners to vividly express their musical inspiration. As mentioned above, the ninth lesson is for a discussion about modernization of Korean traditional instruments. In the last lesson, small concerts in which learners proudly present what they practice will be held. The teaching guide is verified its feasibility by an expert group of Korean traditional music teachers and lecturers. Survey with ten questionnaires was provided, and a five-point Liker scale was used for analysis. According to the survey results, this guide won 4.22 points in average. The teaching guide also won positive feedback from evaluators in that it has various interesting tunes that attract learners’ attention, and it can be expanded to discussion about modernization of traditional instruments. Some other suggestions: e.g. more practice time for basic skills and individual tutoring were made, and the guide was revised accordingly. This suggested guide is without implementation in a real classroom environment. Therefore, learner quality and learning environment have to be taken into consideration when implementing the guide in a real classroom. Hopefully this teaching guide contributes to teaching modernized Danso alongside in-depth training of traditional Danso, and to learning opportunities of various tunes. Also, it is desirable for learners to have interests and critical thinking in modernization of Korean traditional instruments by this teaching guide.;본 연구는 개량단소를 활용하여 기존 전통단소수업에서 다루었던 5음 음계의 곡 뿐 아니라 7음 음계의 다양한 제재곡을 제시하여 초등학교 고학년 전통단소 수업의 연계 및 심화과정으로써 중학생들에게 흥미롭고 지속적인 기악교육을 제공하는 음악 특기·적성 프로그램의 지도안을 개발하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 방과 후에 이루어지는 음악 특기·적성교육은 학생들에게 보다 다양하고 지속적인 음악활동을 제공해 주기 위해 마련된 제도이다. 그러나 방과 후 활동이 확대되고 있는 데에 비해 방과 후 활동의 한 프로그램인 음악 특기·적성교육은 다양하게 개발되지 못하고 있다는 지적을 받고 있다. 그러므로 학생들의 수요와 학교교육과정과의 연계성을 고려한 다양한 음악 특기·적성교육 프로그램의 연구 및 개발이 필요하다. 특히, 음악 정규수업에서 지속적이고 개별적으로 지도하기 어려운 기악교육을 음악 특기·적성교육을 활용하면 효과적인 음악교육을 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 기악교육을 위한 음악 특기·적성교육 프로그램 확대의 일환으로 개량단소의 지도를 제안한다. 단소는 우리나라 전통 관악기로써 그 음색이 청아하고 맑으며 전통음악의 표현요소를 지도하기에 적합하기 때문에 초등학교 5-6학년 음악과 교육과정에서 필수적으로 다루기를 권장하는 악기이다. 특히, 개량단소는 5음 음계로 구성된 전통단소에 지공을 추가하여 음역을 7음 음계로 확대한 개량 국악기로, 전통단소로 반규법을 사용하여 연주하기에 어려움이 있었던 음정들을 보다 정확하게 연주할 수 있게끔 하면서 음역을 확장한 악기이다. 이러한 개량단소는 단소의 아름다운 음색을 그대로 살리면서 보다 다양한 악곡의 연주를 가능하게 한다. 본 연구자는 이러한 음악 특기·적성교육 프로그램 개발의 미비한 실정과 전통단소의 연계 및 심화학습의 필요성을 인식하여 개량단소를 활용한 중학교 음악 특기·적성교육 프로그램의 지도안을 연구 및 개발하고자 하였다. 지도안 개발을 위해 <기악 모듈화 학습>모형(석문주 외 3, 2014)을 활용하였다. 수업의 지도안은 총 10차시로, 총체적인 학습의 목표는 총 3가지로 개량단소 연주의 기초기능 신장 및 제재곡 연주, 국악기 개량에 대한 토론학습을 포함한다. 제재곡은 정규 음악교과와의 연계성 및 학생들의 흥미, 개량단소의 특성을 고려하여 2009개정 교육과정에 의한 중학교 통합 음악교과서 내에서 서양음악 2곡, 전통음악 1곡, 창작국악 1곡을 선택하여 제시하였다. 각 차시에 제시된 제재곡은 그 특성을 살려 가창, 감상, 2중주, 토론수업 등 다양한 음악활동으로 구성하였다. 수업의 형태는 소수의 학생들로 구성된 음악 특기·적성교육 프로그램의 장점을 살려 교사가 학생들의 수준을 고려하여 개별적인 학습을 할 수 있도록 하였다. 특히, 9차시에서는 개량단소를 활용하여 학생들에게 현대사회의 국악의 모습을 다양하게 볼 수 있는 비평적인 시각을 길러주기 위해 국악기 개량에 대한 이해 및 토론수업을 구성하였다. 수업의 평가는 학생들이 점수에 대한 부담을 덜고 배우고 익힌 제재곡을 중심으로 타인의 앞에서 개량단소를 연주를 해 볼 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 작은 음악회로 구성하였다. 본 연구를 통해 첫째, 단소의 음색으로 중학교 음악교과서 내 다양한 제재곡을 연주할 수 있는 지도안을 개발하였으며 둘째, 선택한 제재곡의 특성을 살려 가창, 감상 등 다양한 음악활동과 통합한 수업을 구성하였고 셋째, 국악기 개량에 대한 이해 및 토론학습을 통해 현대사회 속에서 국악과 국악기에 대해 생각해볼 수 있는 심화학습으로 발전이 가능한 지도안을 개발할 수 있었다. 개발된 수업지도안은 대학 및 대학원에서 한국음악을 전공하고 현재 교육현장에서 학생들을 직접 지도하고 있는 국악교사 및 전문 강사들로 구성된 전문가 집단에 의한 설문지 조사를 통해 내용타당도를 검증받았다. 전문가 5명에 의한 설문지 조사 결과 본 지도안은 Likert의 5점 척도에서 평점 4.22을 받았으며 설문지 조사 결과를 바탕으로 전문가 집단의 의견을 반영하여 수업지도안을 수정 및 보완하였다. 검증 결과, 다양한 제재곡을 활용한 점과 국악기 개량에 대한 토론학습에 있어 대체로 긍정적인 평가를 받았다. 본 지도안은 전통단소의 연계 및 심화학습으로 총 10차시의 개량단소 지도안을 개발하였으므로 지속적인 단소교육 및 새로운 음악 특기·적성교육 프로그램의 확대에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 학생들이 개량단소를 활용하여 더욱 기악교육에 흥미를 가질 수 있게 되기를 기대하며, 나아가 현대사회에서 이루어지고 있는 국악기 개량 및 창작국악에 대해서도 관심을 가질 수 있게 되기를 바란다.
