실존주의의 부조리 사상을 바탕으로 한 무용창작작품「무거운 외침」에 관한 연구

Abstract

Industrial society which is rapidly changed today solved problems of poverty by developing science and various technologies, but existence is lost and unstable psychology is improved by uniformity of irrational society. So, values of life become meaningless and senses of purpose and direction are lost. Therefore, this researcher intended to grasp problems of modern people who are living isolatedly without their egos in absurde society and notify the necessity of new understanding for the existence by establishing values of life. This research was conducted by the analysis on「A heavy cry」(2013), a choreographed work treating appearance of human whose existence is lost because of the absurde social phenomenon today. ‘Absurde(Absurde[f], 不條理)’ means irrationality and unreaso nableness as a mismatch of rational and reasonable things absurde thought brings new turning point for human conditions. The absurde thought means distant relations between human desire to find a meaning of life and irrational world and causes sentiment of absurde. In other words, when facing 'Contradictory situation', human starts to recognize unhappiness and experiences sentiment of absurde. Hostile awareness by absurde raises a question of existence and shows absurde situation human existence faces clearly based on the Existentialisme thought. But, if human is living while tamed by irrational society without awareness of absurde, it will be connected to social isolation. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to recognize that they must draw their existence lacked by getting gout of the irrational social structure and establish their independence. A choreographed work「A heavy cry」shows behaviors by absurde social phenomena which is internalized for a long time and psychological changes of human and it is organized by total 3 sessions. This research intended to analyze the work by dividing into subject, contents, spatial using and organization by scene, floor pattern and movement of dancers, express human's psychological status changed by classifying the stage space with object and deliver the subject of work effectively. The first session shows the appearance of human who is isolated and suffers from conflicts in realities of absurde society. To express those contents, isolated image was expressed by social sphere described with dark atmosphere through the limitation of spatial range with the light and gray door. The first scene of the first session expresses emotional characteristics of absurde human with unstable sight of dancers, confused voice, various noises of city and mechanical music by using top light. In addition, it repeatedly expresses movement of finger shaking and head back's tilting by straight movement in A district of limited space, so focuses on the appearance of human who long for freedom internally in unawareness. The second session expresses psychological changes of human who suffers from conflicts while recognizing their existence lacked by irrational society. As dancers and objet move to the center of the stage, A district limited in the first session is expanded to the whole stage and scene change was tried. And, human's psychology enhanced is emphasized by blue light for dancers and objet. Dancers show resistant and conflict psychology of human by repeating passive movement lowering their head to opposite direction of movement with arm and leg straightening accent according to the movement of straight crossing the left and right of object located in the center of up stage. Also, they push object in front of center stage and express longing for freedom through the voice beating object. The third session delivers hopeful appearance to find their existence lacked by desire to get out of the immoral customs and recover the identity. Stage left is B district, an individual area symbolizing hope. Lyrical music longing for freedom induced scene change by using music and dancer's movement together. For the movement, dancers located in front of the stage left focus on a part of the body such as head, hand and foot with doors and start to find their existence lacked clearly. In addition, it expresses human psychology changed to be positive through the fixed sight for the sky, control of speed and change of height according to the floor pattern of curve form in B district. Sound width of music in peak is reduced and light turns on only dancers and objet, so dignified appearance of human recovering their identity is emphasized so as to deliver hopeful conclusion. The significance of this research is to find value and meaning of life by getting out of the immoral customs through the choreographed work,「A heavy cry」treating appearance of human whose existence is lacked by today's absurde social phenomena and it intends to recognize an importance of future-aimed life in hope.;오늘날 급속도로 변화한 산업사회는 과학과 다양한 기술을 발달시켜 빈곤의 문제점은 해결하였지만 불합리한 사회의 획일화로 인한 존재에 대한 상실과 불안한 심리는 더욱더 고조되어 삶에 대한 가치관을 무의미하게 만들며 목적의식도 방향감각도 잃어버린 채 살아가게 한다. 따라서 연구자는 부조리한 사회 속에서 자아를 상실한 채 고립되어 살아가는 현대인의 문제점을 파악하고, 삶에 대한 가치관을 확립함으로써 존재에 대한 재인식의 필요성을 알리고자 하였다. 본 연구는 오늘날 부조리한 사회현상으로 존재감이 결여된 인간의 모습을 다룬 무용창작작품「무거운 외침」(2013)에 대한 분석으로 이루어졌다. ‘부조리(Absurde [f], 不條理)’란 이성적이고 타당한 것의 부조화로 불합리하고, 비이성적인 것을 말하며, 부조리 사상은 인간조건에 대한 새로운 전환점을 가져온다. 이러한 부조리 사상은 삶의 의미를 찾으려는 인간의 욕구와 비합리적인 세계와의 동떨어진 관계의 의미를 나타내며 부조리의 감정을 불러일으킨다. 즉, 인간은 ‘모순된 상황’에 직면하였을 때 불행을 의식하기 시작하며 부조리의 감정을 경험하게 되는 것이다. 부조리 인식으로 인한 반항의식은 존재에 대한 물음을 제기하며 실존주의 사상을 바탕으로 인간 실존이 처한 부조리 상황을 극명하게 드러낸다. 하지만 부조리를 인식하지 못한 채 불합리한 사회 속에 길들어져 살아간다면 사회적 고립으로 이어지게 될 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 불합리한 사회구조 속에서 벗어나 결여된 자신의 존재를 이끌어 내어 주체성을 확립하여 살아가야 함을 인식하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 무용창작작품「무거운 외침」에서는 오랫동안 내면화된 부조리한 사회현상으로 인한 행동과 인간의 심리적 변화를 나타내었으며, 총 세장으로 구성하였다. 주제 및 내용, 공간사용과 장면별 구성, 무용수의 이동경로와 움직임으로 나누어 작품을 분석하고, 오브제(Object)를 사용하여 무대 공간을 구분함으로써 변해가는 인간의 심리상태를 표현하는 동시에 작품의 주제를 효과적으로 전달하고자 하였다. 작품 1장에서는 부조리한 사회의 현실속에서 고립되어 고통스러워하는 인간의 모습을 나타내었다. 이와 같은 내용을 표현하기 위해 어두운 분위기로 묘사된 사회의 영역을 조명과 회색문을 사용하여 공간상의 범위를 제한하여 고립된 이미지를 나타내었다. 1장의 첫 장면은 탑 조명을 사용하여 그 공간안에서 무용수의 불안한 시선처리와 횡설수설하는 음성, 그리고 도시의 다양한 소음과 기계적인 음률의 음악을 사용하여 부조리한 인간의 정서적 특성을 표현하였다. 또한 제한된 공간의 A구역 안에서 직선방향으로 이동하며 손가락 떨림의 움직임과 고개를 뒤로 젖히는 움직임을 반복적으로 나타내어 무의식속에서도 내면적으로 자유를 갈망하는 인간의 모습을 강조하였다. 2장에서는 불합리한 사회로 인해 결여된 자신의 존재를 인식함으로써 갈등하는 인간의 심리변화를 나타내었다. 무용수와 오브제가 무대중앙으로 이동함에 따라 1장에서 제한되었던 A구역을 무대전체로 확장시켜 장면전환을 시도하였으며, 무용수와 오브제를 향해 파란색 조명을 사용하여 고조되어가는 인간의 심리를 부각시켰다. 무용수는 무대 뒤 중앙에 위치한 오브제를 중심으로 좌, 우로 가로지르는 직선형태의 이동에 따라 팔과 다리를 뻗는 엑센트가 있는 움직임의 반대방향으로 고개를 떨어뜨리는 소극적인 움직임을 반복하면서 저항하고 갈등하는 인간의 심리를 나타내었다. 또한 무대 중앙 앞으로 오브제를 밀어 이동하여 오브제를 두드려내는 소리를 통해 자유에 대한 갈망을 표현하였다. 3장에서는 비도덕적인 관습들로부터 벗어나고자 하는 욕망으로 결여된 자신의 존재를 되찾아 주체성을 회복하는 희망적인 모습을 전달하고자 하였다. 무대상수는 B구역으로 희망을 상징하는 개인의 영역을 나타내었다. 자유를 갈망하는 서정적인 음악은 무용수의 움직임과 함께 사용함으로써 장면전환을 유도하였다. 움직임에 있어서는 무대 상수 앞에 위치한 무용수가 문을 사용하여 머리, 손, 발의 신체 일부분을 강조시켜 결여된 자신의 존재를 되찾기 시작하는 모습을 뚜렷하게 나타내고자 하였다. 또한 B구역 안에서 곡선형태의 이동경로에 따라 하늘을 향해 고정되어있는 시선과 속도의 조절, 높낮이의 변화를 통해 긍정적으로 변해가는 인간의 심리를 나타내었다. 절정으로 치닫던 음악의 음폭이 줄어들고 조명은 무용수와 오브제만을 비추어 주체성을 회복한 당당한 인간의 모습을 부각시켜 희망적인 결말을 전달하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 오늘날 부조리한 사회현상들로 인해 존재감이 결여된 인간의 모습을 다룬 무용창작작품「무거운 외침」을 통해 비도덕적인 관습들로부터 벗어나 주체성을 가지고서 삶의 가치와 의미를 찾도록 하는데 연구의 의의를 가지며, 희망 안에서 미래지향적인 삶의 중요성을 인식시키고자 하였다.
