보육형태와 가사노동분담에 따른 여성의 정신건강수준

Abstract

본 연구는 미취학 자녀를 둔 기혼여성의 일반적 특성, 보육형태, 가사노동분담, 정신건강 특성을 파악하고 보육형태와 가사노동분담이 기혼여성의 정신건강수준에 어떠한 영향을 미치는데 파악하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 서울, 경기, 대전의 거주하는 미취학자녀를 둔 기혼여성 211명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 사용하여 조사를 시행했다. 연구도구는 대상자의 일반적 특성(인구사회학적특성, 가족특성, 근로특성), 보육형태, 가사노동분담(본인과 배우자의 가사노동시간, 가사노동분담만족도), 정신건강수준(우울, 불안)의 총 4개의 영역으로 구성하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 본 연구에서 대상자의 전체 우울점수는 9.6±6.33점이었고, 불안점수는 41.0±8.62으로 나타났으며 보육형태는 ‘본인양육+기관·가정보육’이 90명(42.7%)로 가장 많았다. 여성의 보육형태에 따른 우울수준을 살펴보면, ‘본인양육’(14.5±8.63)으로 ‘본인양육+기관·가정보육’(9.1±5.47), ‘기관보육’(9.3±6.64), ‘기관보육+가정보육’(9.7±6.44)보다 높았으며 이는 통계적으로 유의하였다(F=2.713, p<0.05). 여성의 본인 하루평균가사노동시간이 길어질수록 우울수준(F=32.53, p<0.01)과 불안수준(F=27.394, p<0.01)이 높아졌고 가사노동분담에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 우울수준 (F=55.104, p<0.01)과 불안수준(F=46.59, p<0.01)은 낮아졌다. 우울수준에 대한 최종모형의 설명력은 57.6%로 나타났으며 그 중 일반적 특성은 최종 모형에 26.5%의 설명력을 나타냈고, 보육형태와 가사노동분담은 31.1%의 설명력을 보였다. 우울수준에 영향을 미치는 요인은 연령(β=-.188), 주관적건강만족도(β=-.125), 본인양육+기관·가정보육(β=-.221), 본인 하루평균가사노동시간(β=.497), 가사노동분담만족도(β=-.235)으로 나타났다. 불안수준에 대한 최종 모형의 설명력은 49.0%로 나타났으며 그 중 일반적 특성은 최종 모형에 26.9%의 설명력을 나타냈고, 보육형태와 가사노동분담은 22.2%의 설명력을 보였다. 불안수준에 영향을 미치는 요인은 주관적건강만족도(β=-.190), 본인 하루평균가사노동시간(β=.431), 가사노동분담만족도(-.214)으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과에서 살펴본 바와 같이 보육형태와 가사노동분담은 정신건강수준에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 여성의 정신건강은 여성 개인차원이 아닌 가족과 사회적 차원까지 영향을 준다는 점에서 미취학자녀를 둔 기혼여성의 보육지원에 대한 적극적인 사회적 관심과 배우자들의 가사노동분담에 대한 의식변화가 필요하다. 배우자의 적극적인 가사노동 참여가 필요하며, 가사노동에 많은 책임이 있고 가사노동시간에 많은 시간을 할애하는 여성에게 정서적 지지를 보내야 함을 시사한다.;The purpose of the study was to understand the effects of childcare type and sharing housework on mental health level among the married women with preschool children. To achieve the goal, carried out survey of total 211 married women with preschool children in area of Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Daejeon. The research tool is comprised of general characteristics of the subjects, childcare type, sharing housework and mental health level(depression, anxiety). The statistical analysis has been done by frequent and percentages, mean and standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression analysis using PASW Statistics 22.0 program. The research has shown as follows : 1. By looking at the mental health level, the mean score of ‘depression’ was 9.6±6.33, ‘anxiety’ was 41.0±8.62. ‘mother nurturing with childcare service ’ was accounted for 42.7% of childcare type. 2. There were statistically significant differences in depression according to childcare type(p=0.046). The depression level in ‘mother nurturing’ group showed significant differences among other groups. 3. There were significant statistically difference in depression and anxiety according to women’s housework time(p<.001), satisfaction of sharing housework(p<.001). 4. The explanatory strength of general characteristics, childcare type and sharing housework was 57.6%. Especially, age(β=-.188, p<.001), subjective health satisfaction(β=-.125, p=.024.), ‘mother nurturing with childcare service’(β=-.221, p=.041), women’s housework time(β=.497, p<.001) and satisfaction of sharing housework(β=-.235, p=.001.) had an effect on depression level. 5. The explanatory strength of general characteristics, childcare type and sharing housework was 49.0%. Especially, subjective health satisfaction(β=-.190, p=.002), women’s housework time(β=.431, p<.001.) and satisfaction of sharing housework(β=-.214, p=.007 ) had an effect on anxiety level. In the conclusion, there were effects of childcare type and sharing housework on mental health level among the married women with preschool children. Therefore, it is necessary to pay extra attention toward childcare support of married women with preschool children and require change from partner’s for sharing housework.
