역사경관 보전을 위한 가로경관 색채에 관한 연구

Abstract

The historical landscape plays a role in connecting the past and the present from the modern people’s experience in the history of the past. In addition, the reason why historical landscape is valuable is that it leaves traces that have been accumulated by the layers of time and has the identity of the significance of its own historical landscape, that is to say, placeness and places. The factors making us feel placeness are shown very complicatedly and have a difficulty in visualizing. However, the color out of the factors can form the images of places and can visualize to some extent. Accordingly, because the color enables us to remember places and plays a role in expressing memories, the color in historical landscape has important meanings. At present, due to urban swift development, many places of a city are losing their meanings. Furthermore, in spite of historically valuable places, they are located at the corners of urban streets so that some historical landscapes are left alone at desolate places without maintenance or management. Therefore, this study started with concerns with a plan to improve the environment of the object sites through the colors of the historical landscape on the object sites on Sogong-ro, Sogong-dong that have the modern historical and cultural backgrounds of the past. Accordingly, through landscape laws related to the preservation of the historical landscape, the problems of color guidelines were found. In addition, this study can be the foundation to prepare for color guidelines of the object sites and other historical landscapes. This study is largely composed of the courses of theoretical review, case study and analysis, current condition investigation and suggestion of color guidelines. Moreover, there was a necessity to suggest the color guidelines of the historical landscape through objective investigation from the preceding studies on historical landscape colors. It examined the instructions of color guidelines for preservation and conservation of historical landscape through overseas case study and the viewpoints and factors on the historical landscape color could be prepared as a frame of analysis. The problems of color guidelines corresponding to the object sites were derived and the factors to be prepared for the color plan of the historical landscape as well a method to improve were generalized and practical guidelines were suggested. The detailed procedures of the research are as follows: Chapter 1 provided the research background and purpose, and the research method. Chapter 2 analyzed and arranged the theories and notions that become the research background. The important matters of the historical landscape colors to have the identity of placeness and places were arranged and it was found that the color plan of historical landscape should consider various factors complexly. Furthermore, the viewpoints to plan colors for the preservation and conservation of the historical landscape and factors to analyze were arranged and these were prepared for the frame of analysis. Chapter 3 investigated and analyzed the conditions of the object sites to preserve the historical landscape. The frame of analysis and the problems of color guidelines related to the object sites were derived through case study. Then, the architectural factors to be analyzed in the object sites were classified into outer wall, roof, window and signboard and the colors of representative buildings around and within the object sites were investigated. After investigating the floor numbers of 24 buildings existing in the object sites, color characteristics were examined by dividing them into 3 groups by floor number. Chapter 4 supplemented the colors of the existing color guidelines through the investigation of the actual conditions and analyzed the results. Furthermore, the color guidelines of historical landscape for conservation were suggested by factor, scale and material of buildings. Chapter 5 as the final results of this study, arranged the method to prepare the color guidelines of objective and practical historical landscapes for conservation and the limits and this study were arranged. The suggestions of this study on the colors of the actual conditions and the color palette can be utilized importantly to develop object sites. In addition, viewpoints and factors for color investigation and analysis of object sites, and preparation of color guidelines were suggested. In spite of the limits of this study, if general research is conducted in various fields on not only colors but also resident participation and the cultural aspect, it will improve the image of Sogong-ro and provide significant places and Sogong-ro can preserve the historical landscape by reinforcing the identity of the object sites.;역사경관은 과거의 역사가 현재 사람들에 의해 경험되어지면서 과거와 현재를 연결하는 역할을 한다. 또한 역사경관이 가치 있는 이유는 시간의 층위가 쌓여 지금까지 자취와 흔적을 남겨 역사경관만의 의미 즉, 장소성과 장소에 대한 정체성을 가지고 있기 때문이다. 장소성을 느끼게 하는 요소들은 매우 복합적으로 나타나고, 가시화하기 어려움이 있다. 하지만 그 요소 중 색채는 장소에 대한 이미지를 형성할 수 있게 하고, 어느 정도 가시화할 수 있다. 따라서 색채는 장소에 대한 기억을 떠올리게 하고 표현할 수 있는 역할을 하기 때문에 역사경관에서 색채는 중요한 의미를 가진다. 오늘날 도시의 급격한 발전으로 도시의 많은 장소가 의미를 잃어가고 있다. 또한 역사적으로 가치 있는 장소일지라도, 도심 가로에서 한 켜 안에 위치하게 되면서 인적이 드물고, 유지 및 관리가 소홀해져 방치되고 있는 역사경관도 있다. 이에 본 연구는 과거의 근대 역사·문화적 배경을 가진 소공동 소공로를 대상으로, 역사경관의 색채를 통해 대상지의 환경을 개선시키는 방안을 고민하면서 시작되었다. 그에 따라 역사경관의 보전과 관련한 경관법을 통해 색채가이드라인의 문제점을 찾았다. 그리고 이 연구는 역사경관의 색채계획에 있어, 대상지뿐만이 아니라 다른 역사경관 색채가이드라인 작성시 토대가 될 수 있을 것이다. 연구는 크게 이론적 고찰과 사례조사 및 분석, 대상지의 현황조사, 색채가이드라인 제시 과정으로 이루어졌다. 또한 기존의 역사경관색채에 대한 연구를 통해, 객관적인 조사를 통한 역사경관 색채가이드라인을 제시할 필요성이 있었다. 해외 사례조사를 통해 역사경관의 보존 및 보전을 위한 색채가이드라인의 지침을 알아보았고, 역사경관색채에 대한 관점 및 요소를 분석의 틀로 마련할 수 있었다. 대상지에 해당하는 색채가이드라인의 문제점을 도출하여 이를 개선하기 위한 방법과 역사경관의 색채계획에 있어 가져야할 요소를 종합하여 실용적인 가이드라인을 제시하였다. 연구의 세부 진행과정은 다음과 같다. 1장에서는 연구의 배경 및 목적과 연구방법을 제시하였다. 2장에서는 연구의 바탕이 된 이론 및 개념과 사례조사를 분석 및 정리하였다. 장소와 장소의 정체성을 가지기 위해 역사경관의 색채가 중요한 점을 정리하였고, 사례조사 분석을 통해 역사경관의 색채계획은 다양한 요소가 복합적으로 고려되어져야함을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 역사경관의 보존 및 보전을 위한 색채계획에 있어 가져야할 관점 및 분석해야할 요소를 정리하였고, 이를 분석의 틀로 마련하였다. 3장에서는 역사경관의 보전을 위해 대상지 현황을 조사 및 분석하였다. 사례조사를 통한 분석의 틀과 대상지에 관련한 색채가이드라인의 문제점을 도출하였다. 그리고 대상지에서 분석되어야할 건축물의 요소 외벽, 지붕, 창문, 창틀, 간판으로 분류 후, 대상지 주변과 대상지 내의 대표적인 건축물의 색채를 조사하였다. 대상지에 존재하는 24개의 건축물의 층수를 조사한 후 층수별로 3그룹으로 나누어 색채 특성을 파악하였다. 4장에서는 현황조사를 통해 기존의 색채가이드라인의 색채를 보완하였고 결과를 분석하였다. 그리고 보전을 위한 역사경관 색채가이드라인을 건축물의 구성 요소별, 규모별, 재료별로 제시하였다. 5장에서는 연구에 대한 최종적인 결론으로 보전을 위한 객관적이고 실용적인 역사경관의 색채가이드라인을 작성하기 위한 방법과 연구의 한계점을 정리하였다. 본 연구에서 조사한 현황 색채와 색채팔레트 제안은 앞으로 대상지의 개발에 있어 중요하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 또한 대상지의 색채 조사 및 분석과 역사경관의 색채가이드라인 작성시 가져야할 관점 및 요소만을 제시하여 연구가 한정적이지만, 추후 색채뿐만 아니라 주민의 참여, 문화적인 측면 등 여러 분야에서 종합적으로 연구가 이루어진다면 소공로의 이미지 개선뿐만 아니라 의미 있는 장소를 제공해줄 것이며, 대상지의 정체성을 강화시켜 소공로는 역사경관을 지켜나갈 수 있을 것이다.
