국가수준 유치원교육과정의 텍스트 연결망 분석

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 국가수준 유치원 교육과정 문서의 텍스트 연결망 분석을 통하여 놀이 관련어의 시기별 특징과 역사적 변천을 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 위한 구체적 내용은 다음과 같다. 1. 국가수준 유치원 교육과정에 나타난 놀이 관련어는 각 시기별로 어떠한 특징을 나타내는가? 2. 국가수준 유치원 교육과정에 나타난 놀이 관련어의 분포와 구조는 역사적으로 어떠한 변천을 보이는가? 국가수준 유치원 교육과정 문서의 텍스트 연결망 분석을 위한 과정과 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제 1차 유치원 교육과정부터 3-5세 연령별 누리과정까지 국가수준 유치원 교육과정 문서를 대상으로 내용 분석을 실시하였다. ‘놀이’와 ‘놀이’ 관련 단어가 포함된 문장을 추출하여 분석 단위로 선정하였다. 둘째, 추출된 문장을 대상으로 단어 행렬화 작업을 시행하였다. 데이터 정제를 위하여 유사한 단어 및 복합 명사를 통일하였고, 그 과정에서 국어 문법 전문가와 유아교육 전문가와 협의를 거쳤다. 선정된 단어를 중심으로 지능형 형태소 분석기와 SAS 프로그램을 통하여 공출현 행렬 자료를 생성하였다. 셋째, 구성된 행렬 자료를 대상으로 연결망 핵심 개념에 따라 분석하였다. 먼저 연결망을 시각화하고 중앙성 값이 높은 단어를 추출하였다. 연결망의 기본 정보인 결점 수, 연결선의 수, 밀도 값을 도출하고 연결망의 중심화 지수를 구하였다. 연결망 분석 프로그램인 UCINET 프로그램, Pajek 프로그램, Netdraw 프로그램 등을 통하여 분석하였다. 놀이 관련어를 중심으로 국가수준 유치원 교육과정의 텍스트 연결망 분석을 시행한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국가수준 유치원 교육과정의 각 시기별로 놀이를 중심으로 강조하는 내용이 시대에 따라 달라졌음을 알 수 있었다. 교육과정 구성 시 대상에 대한 이해, 목표 및 원리, 내용, 교수·학습 방법, 자료 및 환경, 관찰 및 평가 등의 요소를 고려해야 하는데 본 연구의 결과 관찰 및 평가 부분이 제시되지 않았다. 또한 놀이 중심 교육과정의 중요한 목표 및 원리인 학습 부분이 제 2차 유치원 교육과정에만 등장했다가 이후에 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 국가수준 유치원 교육과정에서 놀이 관련어의 분포와 구조 측면에서 3-5세 연령별 누리과정이 가장 비체계적으로 나타났다. 특히 가장 최근의 교육과정인 2007 개정 유치원 교육과정과 3-5세 연령별 누리과정에서 놀이를 설명할 때 극놀이, 예술 및 표현, 활동 부분에 매우 편중되어 있었다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 다음과 같은 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 국가수준 유치원 교육과정에서 놀이를 비롯한 유아교육의 핵심 개념에 대한 개념적 정의가 명확하게 제시될 필요가 있다. 그동안 정치적인 이유에 의해 개정되었거나 개정 시기가 임박하여 급하게 개정된 유치원 교육과정의 개정 체제를 반성하고 유아교육과정의 핵심 개념에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 교육과정을 개정할 때 과거의 내용 중에 계속 이어나가야 할 것이 무엇인지 확인하여 무역사성이 없도록 하고, 시대를 초월하여 지속적으로 포함시켜야 하는 내용이 무엇인지 파악하여 교육과정이 타성에 빠지지 않도록 해야 한다. 교육과정 개정에 앞서 철학적, 역사적, 비판적 연구를 통한 당대의 논쟁점을 검증하고, 기초 연구 및 현장의 실태 조사 연구가 선행되어 교육과정의 수권자인 교사에게 도움이 될 수 있어야 하겠다.;This study aims to find a chronological characteristics and historical change in ‘play’ related word of the national kindergarten curriculum document through network analyisis. The detailed research purposes are described as follows: 1. To find a chronological characteristics in ‘play’ related word in the national kindergarten curriculum document. 2. To examine a distribution and structure of ‘play’ related word in the national kindergarten curriculum document through historical change. The process and result of network analysis on the national kindergarten curriculum document are as follows. First, content analysis was conducted from the 1st national kindergarten curriculum through Nuri curriculum for 3-5 year olds. The unit of analysis was a sentence which involves a key word consisted of ‘play’ and ‘play related word’. Second, a word matrix process was conducted with extracted sentences. A similar words and compound nouns were unified for data cleaning through discussion with a Korean grammar specialist. A intelligence morphological analyzer and SAS program were used for making data into co-occurrence matrix with selected words. Third, an analysis of matrix data was done by key concept of the network. Network visualization was done beforehand and extraction of words which has high centrality value was done afterwards. A basic information of network, which are number of vertices, total number of lines and density were deducted as well as a centralization index The UCINET program, Pajek program and Netdraw program were used during this analysis process. The following are results of network analysis on the ‘play’ related words in the national kindergarten curriculum. First, the emphasis on the content related to ‘play’ in the national kindergarten curriculum has been changed with the times. When organizing a curriculum, understanding on the subject, objective, principle, content, teaching-learning method, learning material, environment, observation and evaluation etc are needed to be considered. But from the result of this study, observation and evaluation parts were not suggested in the curriculum and play centered curriculum’s learning part, objective and principle, were only stated in the 2nd kindergarten curriculum. Second, the Nuri curriculum for 3 to 5 year olds turned out to be the most unsystematic curriculum regarding distribution and structure of ‘play’ related word in the national kindergarten curriculum. Especially when explaining ‘play’ in the curriculum, the word was concentrated in dramatic play, art and expression, activity part in the most recent curriculum which is the 2007 revised kindergarten curriculum and Nuri curriculum for 3 to 5 year olds. As indicated in the analysis of the research results, the following implications are suggested. First, a key concept of early childhood education including ‘play’ needs to be clearly defined and stated in the national kindergarten curriculum. Meanwhile the kindergarten curriculum revision has been done urgently due to political reason or the limited time. Instead of these past revision system, an in-depth discussion about the key concept of early childhood education curriculum is needed. Second, verification of curriculum content which need to be continued from the past national kindergarten curriculum is necessary when revising curriculum to prevent ahistoricism. Also finding out the content which need to be involved all time so that the curriculum does not fall into a habitual routine. It is important to verify the arguments of the recent day through philosophical, historical, critical research before curriculum revision. Moreover basic research and field research are to be preceded to be helpful for the teachers in the educational field.
