놀이의 행태적 특성에 의한 어린이 도서관 공간디자인 연구

Abstract

21세기 정보화 시대에서는 창의력과 상상력의 원천이 되는 독서의 중요성이 날로 부각되어 사회적 관심이 증가되고 있다. 독서는 다양한 지식과 훌륭한 인격형성을 위한 간접경험이라 할 수 있다. 오늘날 라이프 스타일의 변화와 IT 기술의 진보로 유아들은 책과 점점 멀리하게 되며 도서관의 이용률도 감소하고 있다. 또한 공공도서관에서는 취학어린이들 위주로 운영되어 미취학 어린이들을 위한 공간들이 부족한 실정이다. 유아의 독서환경 활성화를 위한 정보 및 발달적 특성을 고려한 어린이도서관의 계획은 지식기반의 공간으로 절실히 필요하다. 유아의 발달적 특성과 놀이행태를 통한 환경을 조성함으로써 사회적 상호작용 및 적극적이고 다양한 공간을 통해 어린이에게 창의성 발달 지원을 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 기존 놀이를 통한 어린이 도서관의 사례분석 결과를 토대로 발달적 특성과 놀이행태를 통한 어린이 도서관의 공간디자인을 제안 하는 데 목적을 둔다. 본 연구방법으로는 다음과 같이 진행된다. 첫째, 놀이의 행태적 특성에 의한 어린이 도서관공간디자인에 대한 이론고찰 후 일반적인 연구의 배경을 도출하고 디자인적 관점을 적용하여 연구의 목적 및 연구방법 내용을 서술한다. 둘째, 유아 발달적 특성과 놀이행태를 문헌 연구를 통하여 어린이 도서관 개념과 특징을 정리하고, 도서관에서의 놀이행태 개념과 유형을 살펴본 후 상호 관계성에 대하여 정리한다. 셋째, 실제 놀이의 행태적 특성에 의한 유아중심 어린이도서관의 국내･외 사례를 분석하여 공간 계획에 필요한 디자인 개념을 도출하고 종합적 소결을 내린다. 넷째, 이론적 고찰과 사례분석 연구를 바탕으로 공간디자인 요소를 분석하고, 대상지를 선정하여 놀이의 행태적 특성을 고려한 어린이 도서관 공간 디자인을 제안한다. 다섯째, 앞서 진행된 논의들을 정리하여 결론 및 제언을 내리고, 어린이 도서관에서의 놀이의 행태적 특성을 고려한 공간 디자인을 바탕으로 디자인 적용안의 기대효과와 연구의 의의 및 한계점을 밝힌다. 본 연구는 놀이의 행태적 특성에 의한 어린이 도서관공간디자인으로 유아의 발달적 특성과 놀이의 행태적 특성의 중요성을 고려하여, 앞으로 유아중심의 독서문화 정착과 창의적이고 다양한 어린이 도서관공간디자인으로 적극적인 공간을 제시하는데 의의가 있다.;The social interest of the importance of reading which is the source of creativity and imagination increased that in the twenty-first century. Reading could be indirect experience for personality development and getting various knowledge. Nowadays, due to the change of life style and the development of IT technology, preschooler doesn't seem to like reading books and library utilization of them is also decreased. Moreover, public libraries are deficient in the space for preschoolers because the libraries are mostly designed for schoolchildren. It is necessary to design the children's library based on the space of knowledge basis concerning their developmental characters and activation for children's reading environment, This designed libraries can provide creativity development to children through socially interactive and diverse space. This study suggests to design children's library through developmental character and play features based on case study of existing play-based libraries. The method of study is stated as follows, First, after theoretical consideration about the space design of children's library based on behavioral character of play, a general study background is drawn and the study object and method are stated. Second, through the literature review, the concepts and characters of children' library are indicated and then the inter-relationship is stated after studying of play feature concept and pattern in libraries. Third, the design concept for space plan is derived through the domestic and foreign case analysis of preschooler centered libraries and then overall opinion is stated. Fourth, the elements for space design are analysed and then the study applies space design to the site concerning the behavioral character of play. Finally, the study proposes the space design of children's library and the study mentions the expected effect and the limit. This thesis concerns developmental character of preschoolers and importance of behavioral character of play in order to design the children's library. Also, my study suggests active space for settling the reading culture through creative and diverse space-design in children's library.
