에릭슨의 인간발달론을 바탕으로 한 무용창작작품 「끝없는 대화」에 관한 연구

Abstract

모든 인간은 사회 속에서 타인과의 관계를 통해 소통하며 내적으로 성장한다. 그래서 타인과 사회와의 소통은 매우 중요한 활동이지만 현대사회는 산업화에 따른 기술의 발달로 인해 비대면적이고 가면적인 소통양식으로 변화하여 인간적인 소통이 아닌 겉으로만 맴도는 외적 소통이 증가하였다. 때문에 내적 교류가 일어나는 진정한 소통이 부족하게 되어 외로움을 느끼고 내적으로 고립되는 현대인이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 내적 교류가 일어나는 진정한 소통은 타인과의 친밀한 관계를 형성할 때 이루어지는데 이러한 친밀한 관계형성을 통한 진정한 소통을 하기 위해서는 ‘능동적 자아의 적극적인 의지와 노력’이 요구된다. 그래서 자아의 능동적인 의지와 노력을 통해 타인과의 진정한 소통이 이루어져 내적 고립감을 극복하게 되면 자신감이 생겨나 자아실현을 할 수 있으며 사회 구성원으로써의 역할을 원활하게 수행할 수 있기 때문에 진정한 소통은 자기발전 뿐만 아니라 사회 발전으로 이어진다. 이에 본 연구자는 진정한 소통을 하기 위한 ‘능동적 자아의 의지와 노력’의 중요성을 인식하였으며 자아와 타인과의 관계 안에서 능동적 자아의 의지와 노력을 강조하며 인간발달을 연구한 에릭슨의 심리사회적 인간발달 8단계이론에 주목하였다. 그 중 사회의 구성원으로써 사회에 진출하여 완벽한 타인과 교류하게 되는 6단계, 청장년기를 중심으로 연구하였다. 그래서 청장년기의 친밀감과 고립감 현상을 바탕으로 사회적 타인과 친밀한 관계를 형성함으로써 진정한 소통을 이루고 고립감을 극복하는데 있어서 ‘능동적 자아의 의지와 끝없는 노력’이 중요하다는 것을 주제로 무용창작작품 「끝없는 대화」를 안무하였다. 그래서 자아의 적극적인 태도가 중요하다는 메시지를 전달하고자 하였으며 이를 위해 본 작품을 주제 및 내용, 장면에 따른 무대구성, 무용수의 구성 및 관계와 움직임, 오브제와 의상을 중점적으로 분석하였다. 1장은 소극적인 자아로 인해 소통이 이루어지지 않아 타인과 어긋나는 나의 과거모습을 표현하기 위해 소극적인 느낌을 주는 무대후면부로 향해 들어가는 무대구성을 사용하였다. 그리고 좁은 직사각형의 길 조명으로 두려운 느낌을 강조하였으며 반복적으로 뒤를 돌아보는 움직임을 사용하였다. 2장은 사회적 타인과 친밀하지 못한 관계에서 느껴지는 고립감으로 고통받는 자아의 모습을 표현하기 위해 공허하면서 소극적인 느낌을 주는 상수쪽의 후면부에 ‘소통의 통로’인 오브제를 배치하고 이를 사이에 두고 무용수A와 무용수B의 어긋나고 서로를 거부하는 듯 한 움직임을 사용하였다. 3장은 타인과 친밀감을 형성하고 진정한 소통을 하고자 적극적으로 노력하는 자아의 모습을 표현하기 위해 공허함과 충만함, 그리고 적극적이고 소극적인 느낌을 모두 아우르는 대각선의 무대구성을 사용하였다. 그리고 열정과 힘을 의미하는 빨간색 길 조명을 사용하고 귀와 입을 강조한 반복적인 움직임을 통해 소통하고자 하는 자아의 의지를 강렬하게 표현하였다.. 4장은 타인을 사랑하는 마음을 바탕으로 진정한 소통을 이루고 고립감을 극복한 긍정적인 자아의 모습과 다가올 미래에도 진정한 소통을 하고자 하는 의지의 모습을 표현하기 위해 오브제를 넘나들어 전면부로 향하는 무대구성을 사용하였다. 그리고 넘어졌다 곧바로 강하게 일어서는 움직임으로 의지의 모습을 부각시켰으며 무용수B가 위치했던 오브제 뒤쪽으로 다시 들어가는 구성을 통해 소통이 계속적으로 이루어지고 있음을 표현하였다. 그리고 본 작품은 ‘소통의 통로’를 의미하는 오브제를 배치하였는데 오브제는 2m의 나무틀에 천막이 덮여져 있어는 형태이며 천막에 아무런 힘을 가하지 않아 닫힌 상태는 단절된 소통을, 능동적 힘을 가해 열린 상태는 진정한 소통을 연상시키도록 하였다. 그래서 능동적 힘의 여부에 따라 열리고 닫히는 모습을 통해 소통을 하고자 하는 능동적 자아의 의지와 노력을 표현하고자 하였다. 그리고 의상은 오브제에 사용된 천과 같은 소재를 사용하여 검정색의 긴 원피스 형태로 제작하였는데 스팽글을 발목부터 오른쪽 팔까지 나선형으로 부착하였다. 그래서 검정색의상과 조명에 의해 반짝거리는 스팽글의 효과를 대비시켜 고립감과 희망이 동시에 연상되도록 하였다. 따라서 무용창작작품 「끝없는 대화」는 능동적 자아의 의지와 노력을 통한 진정한 소통의 내용을 표현하고자 하였다. 그래서 현대인의 진정한 소통부족문제와 이로 인한 내적 고립감을 인지시키고 사회적 타인과 친밀한 관계의 형성, 그리고 이를 통한 진정한 소통을 하기 위해 능동적 자아의 끝없는 의지와 노력의 중요하다는 메시지를 전달하고자 하였다.;Every human communicates with others and grows up through such a relationship in a society. Though communication with others and the society is a very important activity, change of the communicative styles into the non face-to-face and masking is causing only external communication in the modern society. Accordingly, the number of the isolated modern men feeling lonely is increasing for lack of the true communication internal exchange occurs. Such an authentic communication for internal exchange is done when establishing an intimate relation with others. And true communication through intimate relationship requires 'active will and effort by an active self'. When overcoming an internal sense of isolation under the true communication with others through active self intention and effort, one can achieve self-confidence and self-realization, taking a role of a community member smoothly. Therefore, true communication leads not only to self but to the social development. So, this study recognized the importance of 'will and effort by active self' for the true communication, paying attention to Erickson's 8 steps of psychosocial human developmental theory emphasizing the will and effort by active self in the relationship between self and others. Especially based on intimacy and isolation of the 6th step, young & late middle age group, this study choreographed a dancing creation 「Endless Dialogue」with the theme of the importance of ''will and effort by active self' for achieving the true communication and overcoming isolation through intimate relationship with social others. To convey a message about such relational importance, this study analyzed the work centered on the theme and content, scene composition, organization, relation and movement of dancers, objet and costumes. The first chapter expresses a past image of the self contrary to others for lack of communication. So, emphasized a feeling of fear through narrow rectangular, white passage lighting from the auditorium to the back side. And to the back side with a passive feeling together with movements looking back repetitively. The second expresses an image of the self suffering from isolation under unfriendly relationship with others. So, emphasized isolation through positioning the dancer B and objet to the back giving a passive feeling with the composition limited to such a space. Also, where dancer B meaning social others appeared, expressed unfriendly relationship with Dancer A around the objet as a passage of communication through their unmatched and ununified movements. The third represents an image of the self endeavoring actively to be intimate and communicative with others. it was staged as a diagonal space putting the full and the empty, active and passive together, emphasizing the will of the self intensively by using the red light symbolizing the passion and power. Also, movements emphasizing ears and the mouth were repeated to express the desire for the true communication. The last fourth chapter represents a positive image of the self that overcame isolation through true communication with the intention toward such a communication in the future. So, expressed that true communication was achieved through the composition dancer A crossing the objet and heading to the front stage. Furthermore, several round shaped lighting formative of hope was arranged to reach the front side, expressing the will and hope of the future communication. Continual communication was also expressed through the composition entering the objet again. In addition, through repetitive movements standing up powerfully from a lowered position while staring at over the frontal in the front stage, it expressed an image of the will to achieve the true communication in the future. And, this work positioned the objet meaning a 'passage of communication'. Objet was intended to associate the closed state no power was given to a tent covering a 2m wooden frame with severed communication, and an open state active power was given with the true communication. Accordingly, through images of opened and closed, it aimed at expressing the will and effort of the active self to communicate. In addition, black long one-piece dress was made using the same cloth as the objet and spangle was attached with a spiral pattern from the right ankle to the arm. With a contrast effect of the black costume and glittering spangle by lighting, it aimed at creating association of isolation and hope simultaneously. Accordingly, a dancing creation「Endless Dialogue」intended to express the true communication through the will and effort by the active self. Recognizing lack of modern people's true communication and the resulting internal isolation, it aimed at giving a message that endless will and effort of the active self is important for the true communication through shaping intimate relationship with social others.
