Edvard Grieg의 Violin Sonata in c minor No.3 Op.45에 관한 분석연구

Abstract

This study is an in-depth analysis of <Violin Sonata in c minor No.3 Op.45>, composed by Edvard Grieg (1843-1907). Edvard Grieg, who is called as “Chopin of Northern Europe”, is a representative figure of nationalism movement in music in late romantic period. He wrote quite many pieces of music on the basis of German romantic music tradition as well as strongly reflected folk music by adopting melodies and rhythms of Norwegian folk music. And He resolutely used the minor second and modulation. <Violin Sonata in c minor No.3 Op.45> was composed after he established himself as a great composer. The sonata was well appreciated on international stage because of its artistic merit. I studied <Violin Sonata in c minor No.3 Op.45>, which is the one of his representative works, focusing on Grieg’s musical expressive idiom and analysis of Norwegian folk music elements. The first movement is composed with sonata form in c minor. The second movement is constituted with three parts form. The third movement which terminates with form of A-B-A’-B’-coda uses Norwegian national melodies. Furthermore, his rich musical language not only took a critical role of raising standard of Norwegian music to world-class level but also has a great artistic value in the history of western music.;본 논문은 에드바르드 그리그(Edvard Grieg, 1843-1907)의 <Violin Sonata in c minor No.3 Op.45>에 관한 분석연구이다. 서양 음악 역사의 대부분의 음악가들은 독일과 오스트리아, 이탈리아 등 서유럽의 음악적 영향 아래 있었고 19세기 후반에 이르러서야 그 외의 나라에서도 자국의 민족적 색채와 양식에 대한 관심을 갖게 되었다. 그 결과 러시아와 동부 유럽을 중심으로 민족주의 음악 사조가 탄생하게 되었다. 에드바르드 그리그(Edvard Grieg, 1843-1907)는 이 시기의 작곡가 중 한사람으로 자신의 조국 노르웨이의 민요에서 많은 영감을 받아 국민적 정서를 자신의 작품에 잘 승화시켜 활발한 작품 활동을 하였다. 그 결과 그는 노르웨이는 물론 북유럽을 대표하는 세계민족주의 음악 사조에 큰 영향을 미치게 되었다. 본 논문은 <Violin Sonata in c minor No.3 Op.45>를 심도있게 이해하기 위하여 19세기 시대적 배경을 음악사적으로 살펴본 후 작곡가의 생애를 살펴보았으며 참고자료로 작곡가의 작품목록을 수록하였다. 음악적 배경을 통한 작곡가의 이해와 악곡분석을 통하여 연주자의 보다 심도있는 음악적 해석을 돕는데 목적을 두었다.
