Sergei Prokofiev의 Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a에 관한 분석 및 연구

Abstract

세르게이 프로코피에프(Sergei Prokofiev 1891-1953)는 현대 러시아의 대표적인 작곡가 중의 한 사람이다. 그가 활동한 20세기 전반기의 러시아는 정치적으로 매우 혼란한 시기였기 때문에 그는 1918년부터 1936년까지 18년간 러시아를 떠나 미국과 파리에서 활동하였다. 그는 전통적인 러시아 음악과 서유럽의 형식주의 사이의 모순에서 항상 괴로워했던 작곡가였다. 때문에 그의 작풍은 초기의 원시적인 격렬함에서 점차 고전적 경향으로 이행하여 감미롭고 간소한 스타일을 취하기까지 많은 변화를 했지만 결국은 차이코프스키에서 현대에 이르는 러시아 음악의 전통을 정통적으로 계승하고 발전시킨 음악가라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서 분석할 프로코피에프의 Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a는 원래 1943년 플루트를 위한 소나타로 작곡되었으나 바이올리니스트 다비드 오이스트라흐(David Oistrakh)의 제안으로 1944년 바이올린 소나타로 개작되었다. 이 곡은 길고 서정적인 선율 속에 익살, 풍자, 유머러스함이 대담한 화성과 생기 있는 리듬으로 함께 구성되어 있는 것이 특징이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 프로코피에프의 활동시기인 20세기 시대적 배경과 음악적 특성, 흐름과 특징에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 특히, Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a를 분석하여 그의 사상과 음악적 특징을 이해하고 더 나아가 그의 작품을 연주하는데 도움을 얻고자 한다.;One of Russia's renowned composers, Sergey Prokofiev (1891-1953) lived through the confusing and revolutionary times of the 20th century. The earlier half of the 20th century was a time of change and confusion for Russia, and his music was influenced by such social and historical background. His rich legacy includes 7 ballets, 7 operas, 6 cantatas and oratorios, 9 concertos, 7 symphonies, numerous solos, chamber music, and theater music. Prokofiev's Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a was originally a sonata for the flute but was later adapted as the violin sonata. There are 4 movements, and overall the piece is an exceptional representation of Prokofiev's cheerful and humorous character. Rhythm that is regular while full of life, beautiful and lyrical melody containing humor and satire, the use of discord within the composition are all expressions of his personal musical style. Prokofiev was a composer of Neo-classicism, pursuing his own music based on a deep understanding of tradition in times of transition from modern music to contemporary music. In particular, this piece accepts the characteristics of classicism while exceeding classicism's limitations with his own style, and at the same time overcomes the dark historical period of Russia with his creativity and devotion, marking significance in musical history by expressing humor and satire only he is capable of.
