자동차전용도로 방음벽 외관디자인 개선연구

Abstract

현재의 신속한 교통수단으로써 가장 넓은 비율과 면적을 차지하고 있는 자동차전용도로는 우리나라의 이동수단의 중심축이라 해도 과언이 아니다. 자동차전용도로에서도 도로법에 따른 지정된 도로는 총 7가지로 나뉘고 있으며, 대부분은 자동차전용도로에 포함되는 도로이다. 교통수단으로 활성화되어 있는 자동차전용도로는 우리나라의 전체인구가 이용하는 핵심역할로써 자리매김하고 있는 아주 중요한 요소이다. 또한 자동차전용도로의 도로자체가 중심의 대상이라면 그 대상이 된 경관을 도로경관이라 하며, 도로의 주변을 이루고 있는 도로시설이 포함되어 있다. 도로시설을 설계할 때 단순히 기능성 및 편리성만을 추구하는 것이 아닌 도로경관의 설계를 바탕으로 이루어져야 하며 자동차전용도로를 이용하는 이용자에게 있어 안전성과 쾌적한 공간으로 인식을 할 수 있도록 설계되어야 한다. 이러한 우리주변의 자동차전용도로가 건설되어 있는 주변경관을 둘러보면 도심지역과 도로의 시각적으로 적절한 조화를 이루고 있다고 느끼기엔 많이 부족하다고 판단되어진다. 또한 도로를 구성하고 있는 도로시설물 중에서 가장 길고 넓은 면적을 차지하고 있는 방음벽은 도로시설물 중에서 매우 중요한 요소로써 작용되고 있는데, 이는 교통량이 많고 소음원이 발생하는 자동차전용도로에 일반적으로 설치되어지며 소음저감을 목적으로 하여 설계된다. 방음벽의 기능성으로는 이미 소음원이 발생되는 지점에 소음을 저감시키는 기능을 인정받았지만, 기능적으로만 설계된 방음벽자체의 삭막함은 도로경관에서의 시각적으로 좋지 않은 인식을 주고 있다는 것은 확실하다. 이 문제점은 오래 전부터 인식된 부분으로써 꾸준한 방음벽 외관디자인에 관련된 많은 연구와 관심을 갖고 있는 상황이다. 하지만 그 빈도가 낮으며 실제 방음벽 외관을 개선하고자 하는 시공사례들이 늘어나고 있고 점차적으로 발전하고 있으나 아직까지도 자동차전용도로를 이용하는 이용자들은 시각적으로 답답하다고 호소하는 불만과 인근주거지역에 설치된 높은 방음벽으로 인해 역시 시각적으로 답답함을 호소하는 사례들이 꾸준히 이어지고 있는 상황이다. 이는 즉 앞으로 방음벽 외관개선에 있어서 자동차 전용도로를 이용하는 이용자들에게 좋은 이미지로 인식되도록 지속적인 연구를 통해 힘써야 한다고 생각한다. 점점 시간이 지남에 따라 도로 환경을 생각하는 도로경관 및 도로시설물 등 공공디자인에 관련된 공모전이 많이 생겨나고 있다. 그만큼 도심지역에 설치된 많은 도로경관 및 도로시설물의 개선이 필요한 상황으로 여겨진다. 도로경관설계 역시 지역의 도시마케팅의 전략으로써 많은 비중이 내포되어 있으며, 이는 즉 지역도시의 아이덴티티를 정립하는데 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 자동차전용도로위에 넓은 면적으로 설치되어지는 방음벽은 시각적으로 많은 영향을 받을 수밖에 없다. 현재 자동차전용도로에 설치된 방음벽 외관은 도심지역 및 주변 환경과 자연스럽게 조화를 이루어야 하는 실정이므로 본 연구에서는 방음벽 외관디자인 개선을 통하여 자동차전용도로를 이용하는 이용자 및 인근주거지역의 주민들의 입장을 고려하고 주변 환경과의 조화로운 느낌을 부여하는 등 방음벽 설계 및 디자인을 개발하는데 노력하였다. 삭막한 방음벽으로 인해 도심이미지 저하 등 자동차전용도로를 이용하는 이용자들에게 시각공해의 불만을 최소화 할 수 있도록 많은 관심과 노력이 필요할 것이다.;The construction of driveways has contributed to the rapid transportation and economic improvement focusing on industrialization. With the rapid economic growth, it has formed the central axis in Korea as various connecting means from the past to the present. The soundproof walls occupying the widest area and also reducing noise from roads, among road facilities installed in driveways, have been first installed in surrounding parts of downtown. With the increase of traffic on driveways, the area installed with soundproof walls in driveways got very long. Due to the visual severance from the surrounding environment, users of driveways and residents living close to the soundproof walls have complained of feeling desolate and cramped. In order to be helpful to the improvement of the exterior soundproof walls with desolate images, installed in driveways, this study suggested the improvement measures of minimizing such desolate images of soundproof walls by harmonizing them with the surrounding environment. Through the theoretical concept of driveway as the central axis of road, and the definition and classification of soundproof wall, the necessity of soundproof walls was understood. In order to accurately understand the current status of soundproof walls, we examined the current design status based on the photo data of the surrounding environment through the in-site survey on expressways of driveways in the domestic capital area, and also sought for the development directions of the exterior design of soundproof walls through foreign cases of the design of soundproof walls. After analyzing the current exterior of soundproof walls through the survey on the current status, we suggested the directions and improvement measures of the exterior of soundproof walls through the survey for users of driveways and residents in downtown area. In the results of the survey, the number of the response to feeling desolate and cramped was the most. Assuming the soundproof walls just looking good visually and the moment of actual driving, the response to whether the soundproof walls just visually looking good were helpful to driving or not was considerably different. Since the soundproof walls just looking great visually would not be helpful to driving environment, it would be necessary to improve the exterior design of soundproof walls that can relieve users' eye strain. Regarding the question about what should be the most emphasized for the exterior design of soundproof walls, the creation of pleasant atmosphere of driveways and the design based on overall harmony with surrounding landscape were considered as important. Based on the results of the survey like above, we suggested the improvement measures of the exterior design of soundproof walls. Through the improvement measures balanced between the exterior design of soundproof walls and the surrounding environment, it would be possible to inform the importance and necessity of the exterior design of soundproof walls, to minimize the image as visual pollution, and also to be recognized as pleasant and natural road scenery by users. Lastly, it is still needed to have lots of interest to have the exterior design of soundproof walls harmonized with surrounding environment. It is expected to be helpful to researches on the improvement of the exterior of soundproof walls.
