민주름버섯의 조형미를 응용한 니트 패션디자인 연구

Abstract

산업의 발달과 더불어 획일화 되어가는 현대 사회 속에서 패션은 단순히 의복이 갖는 물리적인 기능에서 벗어나 개성을 표현하는 수단으로 변화되었다. 즉, 현대 패션은 생활 문화 속에서 소비자의 욕구를 충족하고, 타인과 차별화되는 자신만의 스타일을 표출하는 수단이 되었다. 이러한 변화 속에서 인간은 산업 발달에 따른 인위적, 기계적 환경에서 벗어나 자연의 신비로움과 아름다움을 더욱 갈구하게 되었다. 인간이 자연으로의 회귀를 갈망하면서 자연의 미를 삶 속에 담고자 하는 의지가 더욱 커졌으며, 예술과 디자인에 자연 이미지를 담거나 자연을 모티프로 한 발상의 사례가 빈번하게 나타나고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 자연 속 민주름 버섯류를 모티프로 디자인을 전개하여 독특한 조형미를 나타내도록 하였고, 이를 표현하기 위한 소재로 니트를 선택하였다. 니트 소재는 자연스럽고 독창적인 질감과 다양한 표현기법으로 활용될 수 있어서 현대 패션에서 크게 선호되고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 국내 니트는 획일화된 대량 생산으로 인해 디자인, 품질, 소재 등에서 개성을 추구하는 소비자들의 요구에 부응하지 못하는 실정이다. 반면에 해외 유명 브랜드의 니트웨어는 독특한 캐릭터와 제품력으로 국내 시장을 잠식하고 있으며 소비자들은 이러한 수입 니트에 대해 높은 선호도를 나타내고 있다. 따라서 독창적인 디자인 개발과 신소재 개발 등을 통하여 고도의 부가가치를 창출할 수 있는 방안을 모색해야 할 것으로 생각한다. 니트의 조직과 디자인의 중요성을 인식하여 조직의 가장 기본이 되는 수편기의 플레인 조직과 컴퓨터 편기에 의한 자카드, 그리고 손으로 무늬를 넣는 크로셰 기법의 긴뜨기, 짧은 뜨기 등을 이용하여 조직과 질감을 연구하였다. 그리고 표현기법이 더욱 더 부각될 수 있도록 원사 역시 모티프의 종류에 따라서 각기 다르게 선택하였다. 디자인에 있어서 장식적 요소는 버섯과 유사한 형태로 전개하였고, 색채 또한 버섯의 고유 색채인 내추럴 톤을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 민주름 버섯류의 조형성을 분석하여 그 독특한 조형미를 디자인에 접목하고, 동시에 니트 조직과 형태를 연구하여 새롭고 개성 있는 디자인을 창출해 니트 패션디자인의 표현 영역을 확대함에 있다. 본 연구의 이론적 배경으로는 버섯의 종류와 특징을 국·내외 문헌을 통해 조사했으며 이를 토대로 조형적 특징을 분석하였다. 또한 버섯을 응용하여 디자인한 사례를 조사하여 본 연구 작품이 차별성을 가질 수 있도록 하였다. 니트의 역사와 다양한 니트 조직 및 종류에 대해 조사했으며, 현대 니트 패션디자인 사례가 국내외 패션 잡지 및 인터넷 통해 조사되었다. 작품 제작에는 핸드니팅과 기계니팅이 활용 되었으며, 작품에 사용된 조직으로는 단판기로 구성한 평편(Plain Stitch)과 컴퓨터에 의해 자동으로 편성 작업이 이루어지는 횡편기(SES-124S)로 편직한 Tubular Jacquard (12GG), Bird' eye Jacquard(12GG)가 있다. 크로셰 기법 중 긴뜨기, 짧은 뜨기를 이용한 장식요소를 자카드와 함께 작품에 구성하였다. 또한 각각의 조직감이 잘 표현될 수 있도록 원사는 각기 다른 다양한 원사를 사용했다. 원사의 성분은 주로 PP100% 와 Cotton 100%이며 AW사와 스판사를 각 1합씩 부가시켰다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 버섯의 조형미를 패션디자인에 응용함에 있어서, 단순한 재현이나 모방이 아닌 작가의 주관적인 조형의지에 따른 축소, 과장, 변형 등의 과정을 통해 다양한 디자인 전개가 이루어질 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 여러 개의 버섯이 무리를 지어 집단 서식하는 민주름 버섯류에서 반복적인 선과 면의 조형성을 발견할 수 있었고, 그러한 특성을 디자인 안에 구현했을 때 특별한 율동감이 표현되어 작품에 활력을 줄 수 있었다. 셋째, 니트의 특성인 컬 업(curl up)현상은 재단과 봉제 시 불편함을 주는 단점이 있지만, 그것을 민주름 버섯의 조형적인 곡선으로 나타냄으로써 독특한 조형미를 표현할 수 있었다. 넷째, 다양한 원사를 핸드니팅과 기계니팅으로 다양하게 편직 함으로써 독특한 조직과 함께 창의적인 형태와 질감이 창출되어, 다양한 니트 디자인의 개발가능성을 발견할 수 있었고, 니트가 조형예술로서 그 표현영역이 확대될 수 있다는 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 자연의 하나인 버섯의 조형성을 니트 패션디자인에 응용함으로써 독특한 조형미를 표현도록 시도해보았다. 또한 기계니팅과 핸드니팅을 병행 사용하여 다양한 소재의 차별화를 두었고, 이를 통해 니트의 표현영역 또한 확대하고자 하였다. 이러한 가능성을 기반으로 니트의 다양한 기법들과 조직을 심도 있게 연구하여 보다 차별화된 고부가가치 소재로 활성화시킴으로써 니트웨어 발전에 이바지하길 기대한다.;In uniformed modern society with the industry development, a meaning of fashion became not only a physical protection but a way of individuality expression. In other words, fashion became the way that fulfills the needs of consumers in life and expresses their own character. From these changes, human longs for mystery and beauty of nature by getting away from artificial and mechanical environment. While hoping to go back to nature, the will to express the beauty of nature in life has become greater. At the same time. there are many works in art and design which carry nature images and used nature as a motif. In this study, Aphyllophorales motif is used to show unique beauty of nature and knit material is used to represent the design. Knit material is heavily favored in modern fashion since it is good to express an unique texture and a variety of technic. However, uniformed domestic knit industry doesn’t meet the needs of the consumer to pursue individuality in design, quality, or material. On the other hand, imported knit brands have encroached the domestic market with the high product quality and distinctive character. Furthermore, domestic consumer shows high preference on those. I thought we must seek a scheme which could create a high degree of added value through the development of new and creative material design. By recognizing the importance of design and the knit tissue, texture and tissue are studied through plain hand-knitting machine which knits the most basic of tissue, computer programmed machine Jacquard, the long-knitting by hand made crochet technique and the short-knitting. And different yarns are used depend on the type of motif to make more highlighted representation technique. The decorative elements of design and color tone are used in the form of mushroom-like. The purpose of this study is to create a new design with the new personality which extends the representation area of ​​new fashion design by analyzing and reflecting of unique beauty of the Aphyllophorales. As the theoretical background of this study, mushroom types and characteristics are studied through literatures at home and abroad, and analyzed the formative features based on this. I have also sought ways which will make this study ingenious by investigating mushroom-applied design cases. Additionally, various knitting techniques, tissues, patterns and history of knit are investigated. Contemporary knit fashion design cases have been studied through the Internet and fashion magazines at home and abroad. Hand-knitting and machine-knitting were used for works. The tissues of Plain Stitch which is configured by single-plate machine and Tubular Jacquard (12GG) with Bird 'eye Jacquard (12GG) which were knitted by circular knitting machine (SES-124S) were used for this work. In addition to Jacquard technic, crochet technic of the long-knitting and short-knitting were used. Various yarns were used to represent various tissues well and most of yarns were 100% Cotton or PP100%. Each single AW and Spun yarn were braided Conclusions from this study are as follows. First, in order to apply a beauty of the mushroom to fashion design, I could confirm that various design could be created through the process of reduction, exaggeration and deformation. It was not created by reproduction or imitation but designer’s subjective art will. Second, repetitive surface and line could be found from no-wrinkle mushrooms which inhabit with plurality of flock. And when these characteristics were expressed in the design, it made possible to express rhythmical feeling on works. Third, curl-up phenomenon from knit material, which cause discomfort during sewing and cutting, was a disadvantage of the knit, but by using as reflecting of unique beauty of the Aphyllophorales ‘s unique characteristic, ingenious design could be expressed. Fourth, by using together the machine-knitting with hand-knitting, various shape, texture and creative distinct tissues could be developed, and it was possible to discover the potential of various knit design development. In addition, the possibility of knit to expand its representation area to ​​Art and Design could be confirmed. In this study, there was an attempt to represent the unique beauty of mushroom, one of nature creature, to a knit fashion design. Also differentiated various materials were knitted by using hand-knitting and knitting-machine whereby the knit expression area could expand. I expect this study will contribute the development of knit by thoroughly studied tissues and the various techniques of knit.
