Abstract
This textbook is intended mainly for students who are preparing to attend an English-speaking school, such as an international school in Korea or a school in an English-speaking country. The target students need a balance of language improvement and content knowledge; thus, they need to be provided with both language and content-based input. This textbook is created for a group of sixteen 6th grade students at an elementary school in Korea. They intend to study abroad in an English-speaking country or at an international school in the future. The target students are of mixed gender and their English proficiency level is B1 according to the CEF since they have studied English for several years. They have studied English with both native and non-native teachers at their schools and private institutions. The target situation is a six-month preparation course at a private institute and the class meets for two hours twice a week. This textbook will prepare the students to participate successfully in mathematics classes conducted in English.
