태국인 한국어 학습자의 발음 오류와 모국어 간섭현상의 연관성

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out what phonological aspects of Thai causes linguistic interference that result in pronunciation error when Thai university students speak Korean. To find out, each Korean and Thai phonemes, syllables, and phonological phenomena were analyzed by the means of contrastive study. From the contrastive analysis, few phonological aspects of Thai were predicted to negatively interfere in speaking certain Korean words. Those were as follows; 1. words with syllable that starts with Korean consonant ㄱ/k/, ㅅ/s/, ㅈ/c/ 2. words with syllable that ends with Korean consonant ㄹ/r,l/ 3. word that consists of a syllable that has diphthong with initial and ending consonant i.e. CGVC or word that has ㅢ as first syllable 4. word that experiences glottalization 5. aspirated word 6. cancellation of consonant cluster 7. word that experiences nasalization 8. word that experiences liquidization 9. word that experiences ㄷ/t/ palatalization 10.words that are prolonged Then experiment on Thai university students' pronunciation error was conducted to find out how many features above really influenced in practice from negative interference of Thai in speaking certain Korean words.;본 연구는 태국어와 한국어를 음성·음운론적 측면에서 대조언어학적 분석을 통해 비교분석하여 유사점과 차이점을 살펴보고, 이와 더불어 기존의 연구 결과를 토대로 어떤 점이 한국어를 발음하는 데 장애로 작용할지 오류를 예측해보았다. 그리고 이 예측한 오류 목록과 실제 태국 내 대학의 태국인 한국어 학습자들이 보이는 발음 오류를 살펴봄으로써 이 둘의 연관성을 알아보고자 하였다. 둘의 연관성은 읽기 실험을 통해 실제 나타난 발음 오류 중 빈도가 높았던 오류는 무엇이며, 오류의 유형별로 모국어 간섭 현상이 어떻게 일어났는지, 그리고 그 오류는 학습 기간에 따라 어떻게 감소하는지를 분석하였다. 또한, 오류가 감소하지 않은 경우 또는 적게 감소한 경우 영향을 미쳤을만한 요인이 무엇인지 분석하였다. 나아가 결론 부분에서는 어떤 유형의 발음 교육이 집중적으로 이루어지면 좋을지 제안해보고자 하였다.
