중년 여성의 사회적 지지, 우울과 문제음주 간의 관련성

Abstract

본 연구는 중년 여성의 사회적 지지, 우울과 문제음주 간의 관련성을 규명하고자 경기도 안양시 소재의 인력개발센터, 평생교육원 1곳, 영화관, 백화점, 단체 급식업체 2곳, 할인마트 1곳에서 40세 이상 60세 미만의 기혼 여성 181명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구도구는 대상자의 일반적 특성(연령, 교육수준, 가구 월수입, 직업, 자녀독립, 종교, 주관적 건강상태, 음주관련 가족력, 정신질환 가족력) 9문항, 사회적 지지 25문항, 우울 20문항, 문제음주 10문항으로 총 4개 영역의 64문항으로 구성하였다. 수집된 자료는 PASW Statistics 20.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, t-test, 일원분산분석(ANOVA), Pearson의 단순상관분석, 다중회귀분석의 통계기법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 연구대상자의 사회적 지지 평균은 3.44±0.60 이었으며 하위 영역별로 정서적 지지 3.47±0.62, 물질적 지지 3.29±0.67, 정보적 지지 3.37±0.65, 평가적 지지 3.64±0.64이었다. 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 사회적 지지를 살펴보면 연령, 교육수준, 주관적 건강상태와 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 대상자의 사회적 지지는 40대가 50대에 비해, 최종학력이 높을수록, 자신의 건강상태를 긍정적으로 인식할수록 높았다. 연구대상자의 우울 평균은 0.59±0.43 이었으며, 일반적 특성에 따른 차이를 살펴보았을 때 교육수준, 직업, 주관적 건강상태와 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 대상자의 우울은 교육수준이 낮을수록, 직업이 있는 경우가 그렇지 않은 경우에 비해, 자신의 건강상태를 부정적으로 인식할수록 높았다. 본 연구에서 대상자의 문제음주 평균은 0.56±0.59 이었으며, 하위 영역별로는 위험음주 1.27±0.91, 의존음주 0.23±0.54, 유해음주 0.28±0.60 이었다. 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 문제음주 성향은 연령, 교육수준, 직업과 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 연령의 경우 45~49세의 여성이 가장 높은 문제음주 성향을 보였으며, 최종학력이 낮을수록 직업이 있는 여성이 그렇지 않은 여성에 비해 문제음주 성향이 높았다. 사회적 지지, 우울과 문제음주 간의 관련성을 살펴본 결과 사회적 지지와 문제음주 간에는 음의 상관관계가 있었으며(r= -.238, p=.006), 우울과 문제음주 간에는 양의 상관관계가 있었다(r=.215, p=.013). 다중회귀분석의 결과 대상자의 일반적 특성과 사회적 지지, 우울이 문제음주를 설명하는 설명력은 19.0%였으며, 대상자의 교육수준과 사회적 지지가 낮을 문제음주 성향이 높았다. 본 연구 결과 중년 여성의 사회적 건강과 정신건강이 건강위험 행동과 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 중년 여성의 잘못된 음주습관은 개인의 신체상에 문제와 가족 구성원의 정서 및 생활상의 문제를 야기한다는 점에서 이를 조기에 개선하기 위한 노력이 필요하며, 그 전략으로 개인의 사회적 건강과 정신 건강을 향상시킬 필요가 있다. ;The purpose of this study was to understand the relationships between social support, depression and problem drinking of some middle aged women in Korea. The subjects of this study consisted of 181 married women living in Anyang, specially 40~59 years old. From October 24, to November 19, 2013, Survey was conducted. The research tool is comprised of general characteristics of the subjects, social support, depression(CES-D), problem drinking(AUDIT-K). The statistical analysis were done by frequent and percentages, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis using PASW Statistics 20.0 programs. The findings of this study were as follows : 1. The mean score of social support was 3.44±0.60. Looking at each types of social support, the mean score of emotional support was 3.47±0.62, instrumental support 3.29±0.67, informational support 3.37±0.65 and appraisal support 3.64±0.64. The mean score of depression was 0.59±0.43, problem drinking 0.56±0.59. 2. There were statistically significant differences in social support according to age(p=.042), education(p=.003), perceived health status(p=.004) in general characteristics. Depression showed statistically significant differences according to education(p=.001), job(p=.023), perceived health status(p=.000). 3. There were statistically significant differences in problem drinking according to age(p=.024), education(p=.000), job(p=.003). 4. There were statistically significant negative correlation between social support and problem drinking(r= -.238, p=.006). Depression positively correlated with problem drinking(r=.215, p=.013). 5. The explanatory strength of general characteristics, social support and depression on problem drinking was 19.0%. Especially, education(β= -.367, p=.000) and social support(β=-.189, p=.045) had effect on problem drinking. Thus, there were correlation between social support, depression and problem drinking. So to prevent or improve problem drinking in middle aged women, it is necessary to consider social support and depression.
