환경미화원의 직무특성과 작업환경에 따른 손상발생 영향요인 분석

Abstract

우리나라 환경미화원의 손상은 수준은 타 직종에 비해 매우 높은 수준이며, 환경미화원의 손상과 관련된 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 환경미화원의 직무특성과 작업환경에 따른 손상 발생 영향요인을 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 설문조사는 2013년 11월 1일부터 12월 7일까지 서울 및 경기지역의 환경미화원이 근무하는 곳을 방문하여 실시하였으며, 환경미화원 150명을 최종 연구대상자로 설문을 실시하였다. 연구대상자의 인구사회학적 특성, 직무 특성, 작업환경, 손상여부 등을 기술통계분석을 통해 파악하였다. 인구사회학적, 직무특성별 현황분석 결과 본 연구대상자의 연령 분포는 50세 이상-60세 미만이 가장 많았으며, 교육수준은 고등학교 졸업이 가장 많았다. 성별은 남성 근로자가 가장 많았다. 한편 연구대상자의 직무특성을 살펴보면, 월수입은 100만원 이상-200만원 미만을 임금으로 받는 근로자가, 3년 이상-5년 미만의 경력자(42명, 28%), 근무형태는 절반 이상의 응답자가 계약직, 근무시간은 9시간 이상-10시간 이하로 근무하는 환경미화원이 가장 많았고, 불규칙적으로 출근을 하고 있는 것으로 보여졌다. 또한, 손상경험을 조사한 결과, 전체 150명의 응답자 중 다친 경험이 있는 응답자는 55명으로 전체 연구대상자의 36.67%을 차지하였고, 40대 응답자의 손상경험비율, 남성의 손상경험비율, 초등학교 졸업자의 손상경험비율, 100만원 이상-200만원 미만의 월수입을 가진 응답자의 손상경험비율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 한편 직무특성별 손상경험비율은 경력 10년 이상, 정규직, 11시간 이상 근무, 차량승차미화원의 손상경험비율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 응답자의 소속집단별 결근일수와 외래진료일수에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 평균결근일수의 차이가 발생하는 변수는 연령과 근무기간으로 나타났다.(p<0.10) 한편 평균외래진료일수의 차이가 발생하는 변수는 교육수준별, 현직종별로 나타났다.(p<0.05) 손상발생 영향요인을 분석한 결과 교육수준이 높을수록 손상발생 확률이 감소했고,(p<0.10) 경력이 3년 이상-5년 미만의 경력을 가진 근로자들은 1년 미만의 근로자에 비하여 손상발생 확률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 10년 이상 경력의 근로자들은 1년 미만 경력의 근로자들보다 손상발생 확률이 높았으며, 휴무일수가 길어질수록 손상발생 확률이 높아지는 결과가 나타났다. 본 연구 결과 환경미화원의 손상발생은 교육을 많이 받을수록 낮아지고, 경력이 많은 근로자일수록 손상발생경험이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 교육수준이 높을수록 안전에 대한 의식이 높아지게 되어 손상발생이 낮아지는 것으로 사료되며, 경력이 오래될수록 손상의 노출이 많아 질 수 있는 환경에 노출되기 때문 인 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 결과를 종합한다면, 환경미화원의 손상발생에 영향을 미치는 가장 큰 요인은 교육수준인 것으로 사료된다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 손상을 줄이기 위해서는 교육이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.;Refuse and recyclable material collectors are high risk injury class job comparing to the other jobs. The main causes of injuries influenced by the environment and job characteristics. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of Injuries based on the environment and job characteristics of refuse and recyclable material collectors. The target people of this study were one-hundred and fifty people of refuse and recyclable material collectors in Korea. Visiting several workplace areas located in Gyeong-kido and Seoul districts in Korea. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted from October 1st, 2013 to December 7th. The questionnaires of 150 refuse and recyclable material collectors were fully filled out. The data was analyzed by means of frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Probit regression analysis. Basically, socio-demographic features in this study indicated that most of refuse and recyclable material collectors were male around 50years old, graduated high school, 1,000,000-2,000,000won of month salary. Also, the characteristics of job showed that average of working period was 3 to 5 years and most of that were contract worked and they had shift work system. The percent of having injury was 55 persons(36.67%) of 150 questioned. ANOVA analysis indicates that average of absence day differences was effected by age and working period.(p<0.10) However, average day of hospital outpatient clinic was education statue, and passion of work.(p<0.05) The Injury was effected by education statue(p<0.01), work experience(p<0.05), and number of day off.(p<0.05) In the results, refuse and recyclable material collectors’ level of injury were higher than other jobs. Also, they were exposed to dangerous environments such as roadway incidents, falls, slips, exposing to harmful substances or environments, moving materials. Due to these reasons, refuse and recyclable material collectors’ injuries are higher than the other jobs. In the future, in my personal opinion, through more studies on refuse and recyclable material collectors, it will be reduce injuries of refuse and recyclable material collectors.
