작은 결혼식을 위한 여자 전통 혼례복 디자인

Abstract

이 연구는 작은 결혼식이라는 새로운 사회 현상에 대해 고찰하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 작은 결혼식의 취지에 맞는 전통 혼례복을 디자인하여 제안한 것으로 작품은 총 4점이다. 작은 결혼식이란 결혼 본연의 의미를 살린, 검소하고 건전한 결혼문화로써 젊은 층을 중심으로 확산되고 있으며, 허례허식을 줄이고 비용과 절차를 간소화한 결혼식을 말한다. 연구 방법으로는 신문기사를 이용하여 작은 결혼식이 생겨난 배경과 형성과정에 대해 알아보고, 포털사이트 카페 및 블로그의 인터넷 매체를 통해 작은 결혼식의 사례를 수집하여 특징 및 추세를 고찰하였다. 또한, 문헌과 풍속화 등을 통하여 우리나라 전통 혼례복의 역사와 종류를 알아보고, 인터넷과 잡지를 이용하여 최근 폐백 시 착용되는 전통 혼례복의 추세와 한복식 드레스의 디자인 흐름에 대해서도 살펴보았다. 이를 바탕으로 작은 결혼식에 적합한 결혼 예복을 디자인하였다. 근래의 혼례복은 남자보다 여자 예복 디자인에 대한 요구가 높으며 예복의 비용에 있어서도 여자의 것이 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 이에 따라 이 연구에서는 남자 예복을 제외한 여자의 예복만을 디자인하였다. 작품은 우리나라 전통 혼례복의 조형성을 살리는 데 주안점을 두었으며, 작은 결혼식의 취지에 맞도록 간소하고 경제적인 디자인으로 하였다. 여기에서 경제성은 예식 당일 뿐 아니라 그 이후에도 활용할 수 있음을 의미한다. 그리하여 작은 결혼식에서 착용할 여자용 결혼 예복으로 한복을 응용하면서 예식 이후 평상시에도 입을 수 있는 경제적인 드레스를 제안하였다. 소재는 한복에서 주로 사용되는 명주(明紬), 수직(手織) 실크, 단(緞), 노방(老紡) 등을 서양식 원단인 레이스(lace), 새틴(satin) 등과 적절히 혼용하였다. 신부의 이미지를 대표하는 녹의홍상(綠衣紅裳), 원삼(圓衫) 등의 아이템에서 착안한 디자인과 흰색, 연분홍색 등의 옅은 색상을 사용하여 단아하면서도 정숙한 신부의 이미지를 표현하였다. 작품 1은 전통적인 신부의 복식인 녹의홍상을 모티브로 원피스를 제작하였고, 작품 2는 원삼을 응용한 디자인을 제시하였다. 또한, 작품 3은 저고리의 깃과 한복 치마를 원피스에 접목한 웨딩 웨어를 디자인한 것이다. 작품 4는 레이스로 만든 상의와 한복 치마를 조합하여 한복식 드레스로 연출할 수 있도록 디자인하였다. 이 연구를 기초로 작은 결혼식을 위한 복식 디자인 연구가 활발히 진행되길 바라며, 건전하고 좋은 취지의 작은 결혼식에서 앞으로 전통 혼례복을 착용한 신랑・신부의 모습이 많아지길 기대해 본다.;This study aims to design a traditional Korean bridal costume appropriate for the recent trend of “simple wedding” in Korea. The simple wedding is a economical and healthy wedding culture where vanity and empty formalities are reduced and the process of wedding ceremony is simplified. Recently, it is a phenomenon which is spreading rapidly among young couples. In this study, newspaper articles have been utilized to find out the background and process of formation of the simple weddings, and internet cafes and blogs have been used to collect examples of such cases to discuss their features and trends in Korea. In addition, the history and types of Korea’s traditional wedding costumes have been researched through literatures and traditional genre paintings, and the latest trend of traditional wedding costumes that are used in Pyeback (幣帛), a type of the traditional wedding ceremony in the current wedding procedures, and the internet and magazines have also been used for information about the designs of traditional Hanbok-style wedding costumes. Based on the results, the wedding costumes appropriate for the simple weddings have been designed. Recent wedding costumes have higher demands in designs for women’s dress than men’s and the cost for women’s dress accounts for a large proportion in total cost of a wedding. Accordingly, only the designs of women’s dresses are presented in this study. The proposed designs in this study focus on formativeness of traditional wedding costumes of Korea. And simple and economic designs have been created according to the concept of simple wedding. Here, the economic feasibility of the designs means The costumes can be used even after the wedding ceremony. Thus, a series of cost-effective dresses have been suggested based on Hanbok-style wedding costumes so that women can wear them not only in their simple wedding ceremonies but also as every day wear after the wedding ceremony. For the materials, common materials to make Hanbok such as Myeongju (明紬), Sujik silk (手織 Silk, Shantung), Dan (緞, Damask) and Nobang (老紡) have been mixed with western style materials including lace and satin. With the designs inspired by items such as Nokuihongsang (綠衣紅裳, bridal green jacket and red skirt) and Wonsam (圓衫, Korean traditional bridal green robe) the that represent the bridal image, and using white or light colors including pale pink, the images of graceful and virtuous bride are well expressed. Work 1 is a single piece dress based on the traditional bridal costume, Nokuihongsang as a motif; Work 2 is a design where Wonsam has been a modified; Work 3 is a design which combined Git (領, Collar of Korean Style Jacket) and Chima (Korean style skirt) to produce a single piece dress as a wedding wear; Work 4 is a design to be worn as a Hanbok-style dress which combined a lace jacket with Hanbok skirt. Consequently, it hope to increase fashion design studies for the simple wedding based on this study. And this study expect to bring attention to simple Wedding phenomenon and to increase the number of newly-married couples wearing traditional style wedding costumes in the simple weddings.
