C. A. Debussy의 작품 분석을 통한 Harp의 기능 연구

Abstract

기원 전 약 3,500년경 수메르인의 문화와 함께 등장한 하프는 오랜 역사를 거쳐 그 형태와 쓰임이 발전해 왔다. 그리고 오늘날의 하프는 악기의 구조에 관한 이해와 연주 기법상의 난해함에도 불구하고 오케스트라와 독주, 그리고 실내악에 이르기까지 그 쓰임이 다양한 악기로 자리 잡았다. 본 연구에서는 실내악곡과 관현악곡, 그리고 협주곡을 비롯한 주요 작품에서 하프를 효과적으로 사용하여 하프가 지닌 가능성을 더욱 풍부하게 확장시킨 작곡가인 클로드 드뷔시(Claude Debussy 1862-1918)의 작품 중 다섯 작품을 선정하여 이를 분석 해 보고자 한다. 협주곡 「신성한 무곡과 세속적 무곡」(Danse sacrée et Danse profane), 실내악곡 「플루트, 비올라와 하프를 위한 소나타」(Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp)와 세 곡의 오케스트라 작품 「목신의 오후에의 전주곡」(Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune), 「야상곡」(Nocturnes for Orchestra), 그리고 「바다」(La Mer)를 그 분석의 주제로 하며, 이 분석을 위해 하프의 역사와 구조, 그리고 악기의 주법에 관한 연구를 선행한다. 각 작품들을 형식, 선법, 음계, 리듬과 주법을 중심으로 분석하여 하프가 이들 작품에 어떠한 기여를 하였는지 살펴보고, 이를 통해 하프의 특성과 작품에서의 역할에 관한 이해를 돕는 것을 본 연구의 목적으로 한다. 그리고 더 나아가 연주자 스스로 하프를 연주함에 앞서 작품 안에서의 하프의 역할에 관한 연구를 선행해야 할 필요성을 인식 할 수 있도록 하는 데에도 그 의의를 두고자 한다.;Originated from the Sumerian culture about 3,500 B. C., harp has evolved over long history, today becoming an indispensable instrument in the orchestra. In addition, despite difficulties in the structural understanding and techniques of the instrument, harp came to be an instrument used variously ranging from the orchestra and solo to the chamber music. Claude Debussy(1862-1918) used the harp in his main works including the orchestra so expanded its ample potentialities to a large extent. Accordingly he is evaluated as one of composers who contributed greatly on raising the role of the harp in the modern music. Among works by Debussy, especially selecting his 5 works, this study intends to conduct an analysis on them. That is, the analytic themes contain a concerto 「Danse sacrée et Danse profane」, a chamber music 「Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp」, three orchestra pieces 「Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune」, 「Nocturnes for Orchestra」and 「La Mer」. A study on the history and structure of the harp was conducted with its playing techniques, followed by such analysis. Centered on the form, mode, scale, rhythm and playing techniques, this study analyzes each work and examines what contribution harp made to these works. In the end, it aims at cultivating understanding of characteristics and roles of the harp in the work.
