남녀 비행 청소년의 성격특성과 직업흥미유형간의 관계

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 실제 소년분류심사원(소년분류심사원 업무 대행 소년원 포함)에 수용 중인 위탁소년을 대상으로 하여 성격과 직업흥미유형 간의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 따라서 이러한 목적에 따른 연구 문제는 ‘첫째, 비행 청소년의 성별에 따라 성격과 직업흥미유형 간에 차이가 있는가? 둘째, 비행 청소년의 성격과 직업흥미유형 간에 어떤 상관이 있는가?, 셋째, 비행 청소년의 어떤 성격특성이 직업흥미유형을 설명하는가?’이다. 구체적으로 연구대상은 2012년 9월 1일부터 2013년 3월 31일까지 소년분류심사원에 위탁된 만 13~18세의 남녀 비행 청소년 3,611명 중 최종 2,544명의 자료를 분석하였고, 남녀 비율은 약 82:18이다. 측정 도구는 법무부 범죄예방정책국의 SPI-Ⅲ와 한국고용정보원의 청소년 직업흥미검사를 사용하였고, 두 검사 모두 온라인으로 실시한 결과를 활용하였다. 분석 방법은 교차분석과 독립표본 t검증, 상관분석, 단계적 방법의 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 모든 통계처리는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별에 따른 직업흥미유형에서는 모든 유형의 점수가 여자 위탁생보다 남자 위탁생이 높아 선행 연구와 다른 결과를 보였다. 둘째, 직업흥미유형과 성격 요인간의 관계를 살펴본 결과 남녀 모두 일반척도는 모든 직업흥미유형과 정적으로, 일탈행동척도는 모든 직업흥미유형과 부적으로 상관이 있었다. 남녀 간의 상관계수에서 차이가 있는지 확인한 결과, 성격특성 하위요인이나 직업흥미유형끼리의 상관은 있었지만, 직업흥미유형과 성격특성 간 상관은 없었다. 셋째, 직업흥미유형 점수에 대한 7개의 성격특성이 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 직업흥미유형별로 유의하게 영향을 미치는 변인에 차이가 있었다. 전반적으로 볼 때, 남녀를 막론하고 직업흥미 유형에 모두 영향을 미친 요인은 성실성이었고, 자아존중은 여자 위탁생의 탐구형과 남자 위탁생의 관습형을 제외하고 모두 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 성실성과 자아존중감은 비행 청소년들의 직업흥미 발달에 중요한 영향을 미치는 변수로 나타났는데, 이는 일반 청소년들에도 중요한 요인이므로 직업흥미 발달에 있어 긍정적 영향을 미치는 요인은 비행 청소년과 일반 청소년에게 있어 차이가 없는 것으로 보인다. 주목할 만한 점은 남자 위탁생에게 자기효능이 모든 직업흥미유형에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 반면, 여자 위탁생의 경우에는 진취형을 제외하면 자기효능이 직업흥미 유형을 결정짓는데 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이에 따라 본 연구의 의의는 다음과 같다. 학령기부터 성인기까지 직업흥미에 관한 연구가 이루어졌으나 그동안 국내에서는 비행 청소년의 직업흥미에 관한 연구는 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 소년보호기관에서 실제 사용 중인 성격검사 도구를 활용함으로써 비행 청소년의 성격특성으로 보이는 일탈행동이 직업흥미유형에 미치는 영향에 대해 보다 직접적으로 알아보았다. 그러한 결과로 직업흥미유형별로 일탈행동의 하위척도가 미치는 영향이 다름을 알 수 있었다.;The purpose of this research is to examine the relations between personality and vocational interest types for committed juvenile to Juvenile Classification & Detention Center. Therefore, research problems by the purpose are ‘The first, is there any difference between personality and vocational interest types by the gender of juvenile delinquents? The second, how about the relations between juvenile delinquents' personality and vocational interest types? The third, which personality of juvenile delinquents explains vocational interest types?’ The subject of research was 2,544 juvenile delinquents in the ages of 13~18, committed to Juvenile Classification & Detention Center from Sep. 01, 2012 to Mar. 31, 2013. Male to female ratio is about 82:18. For the tool of measurement, SPI-Ⅲ (restandardized by Crime Prevention Bureau, Ministry of Justice) and youth vocational interest test (revised by Korea Employment Information) were used. The main analytical methods are independent samples t-test and stepwise multiple regression analysis. General analysis on research results and significant results can show implications as follows. The first, in vocational interest types by genders, scores of all forms showed higher score in male committed juvenile rather female committed juvenile, so the results were different from them of precedent researches. The second, the relations between personality and vocational interest types were examined. As the result, in both men and women, general scale was positively related to all of vocational interest types and deviant behavior scale was negatively related to all of vocational interest types.The differences of correlation between men and women were confirmed. As the result, there were correlations among the sub-factors of personality or vocational interest types, but there was no correlation between personality and vocational interest types. The third, multiple regression analysis was conducted so as to examine the effect of 7 personalities on the score of vocational interest types. As the result, there were significant differences making an effect by vocational interest types. Generally, regardless of the gender, the factor making an effect on all of them was sincerity and self-respect made an effect on all of them except for intellectual type of female committed juvenile and conventional type of male committed juvenile. In other words, sincerity and self-respect were variables making an important effect on the development of juvenile delinquents' vocational interests. They are important factors for general youths, so the factors which make a positive effect on the development of vocational interests didn't show any difference between juvenile delinquents and general youth. It was outstanding that self-efficacy made a positive effect on all of vocational interest types for male committed juvenile, but self-efficacy of female committed juvenile didn't make any effect on the decision of vocational interest types except for the enterprising type. Following researches should treat the reasons. Therefore, this research has significances as follows. The vocational interests of people from the school age to the adult age were studied, but there was no research on juvenile delinquents' vocational interests domestically. This research directly examined the effect of deviant behavior shown as juvenile delinquents' personality on vocational interest types by utilizing personality testing tool which is actually developed and used in Juvenile Protection Agencies. Through the results, there were different effects of deviant behavior's sub-scale by vocational interest types.
