어른의 동심을 깨우는 서정적 일러스트레이션 표현 연구

Abstract

유년의 기억은 어른들에게 아련함을 제공함과 동시에 잊고 있었던 순수성을 되찾게 한다. 본 연구는 어른들에게 순수성에 대한 기회를 제공해 유년시절의 기억을 되살려 기억 속에 잠재되어있는 어른의 동심을 깨우는 서정적 일러스트레이션을 제작하기로 한다. 그림은 심리세계를 만드는 것이고, 소재는 만들기 위하여 선택되며, 심리세계는 외계의 형태(그림)로 충동받기보다는 심성자체의 충돌로 이루어진다. 오병권(1999). 『디자인과 이미지 질서』. (서울:이화여자대학교출판부). 본 연구자는 동심이라는 심리세계를 만들기 위해 초현실이라는 소재를 선택하였고 그로부터 부딪히는 심성을 서정적 일러스트레이션으로 표현하여 감상자로 하여금 동심으로의 귀환(歸還) 즉 심성의 부딪힘을 일으키기를 원한다. 이 연구는 어른들의 동심이 어린아이의 것과 다르다는 것을 전제로 하여 어른의 동심과 어린아이의 동심의 차이점을 밝히고 동심에서의 서정과 시각예술에서의 서정이란 무엇인지 알아보고 이를 선행적으로 연구한 자료와 표현한 작가의 사례를 연구하고자 한다. 그리고 그것을 시의 형식을 빌려 어린이 그림책으로 쓰인 '빨강이 나무에서 노래해요'에 한해 동심의 밝은 부분에 집중해 서정적 일러스트레이션으로 표현, 어른을 위한 동심세계를 시각화하고자 한다. 방법적 연구에서는 앞서 연구하였던 시심을 시각적으로 표현했던 작품을 토대로 일러스트레이션 작품연구를 하였고 동심을 표현하는 방식에 있어 서정의 분위기를 만드는 색채에 중점을 두고, 초현실주의(Surrealism)의 기법들을 응용하려한다. 그 까닭은 기성에 물들지 않아 자유롭고 솔직한 동심세계를 직접적으로 표현하기 적합하며 실제로 아이들이 그린 그림에서도 동심을 초현실적으로 표현한 것을 쉽게 찾아볼 수 있기 때문이다. 그리고 실제적으로 동심을 표현한 작가의 사례를 연구하여 작품의 형식과 표현과의 관계에 대해 심도 있게 탐구하고 분류하여 동심세계에 대한 서정, 그리고 초현실적표현에 대하여 본인의 작품에 적용하였다. 본인은 연구를 통해 잊고 있었던 '동심'을 일깨우고자 한다. 기성에 물들어 보이는 대로 생각하고 느끼는 것이 아닌 자유롭게 상상하고 솔직하게 느낀 것을 표현하고자한다. 이 연구의 최종 목적은 감상자의 동심세계발견 즉 어른의 잠재된 동심을 깨우는 것이다. 본 연구자가 연구를 통해 잊고 있었던 동심을 일깨우고자 하는 것처럼 작품을 통해 감상자(어른)로 하여금 내재되어있는 '동심'을 발견하게 하여 삶에 대하여 자유롭게 즐겁게 대할 수 있는 기회를 마련해 주었으면 한다.;The childhood memories provide dim recollections to adults while enabling them to regain the purity that has been forgotten. This research is intended to manufacture a lyrical illustration which provides the adults with the potential innocence of childhood by recovering the memories of childhood through provision of chance for purity. A picture is a process of making psychological world, and the materials are selected for making, and the psychological world is realized by the conflicts of hearts, rather than being urged by an alien form (picture). This research selected the material called 'surrealism' in order to make the psychological world called 'childhood memory', and it is intended to express the hearts that are encountered as illustration to make the appreciator to experience of returning to innocence of childhood, or encountering of heart. This research assumes that the innocence of childhood of the adults are different from that of young children to reveal the difference between the two, and it is intended to examine what the lyricism is, in the innocence of childhood and in the visual art, and also to examine the preliminary research data as well as the cases of the writers who expressed this. And by borrowing the form of poem, it is intended to visualize the world of childhood for the adults, through lyrical illustration by focusing on the bright side of the innocence of childhood in 'The Red Sings on the Tree', written in the form of picture book for children. In the methodical research, the illustration pieces were researched based on the works that visually expressed the poetic turn of mind that was previously studied, and it is intended to use surrealism technique by focusing on the undertone that makes lyrical mood in terms of expressing the innocence of childhood. It is because it is appropriate to directly express the free and frank world of innocence of childhood with untainted purity of its own, and also easy to find things that expressed the mind of innocence surrealistically in the pictures drawn by children. And by researching the cases of the writers who actually expressed the innocence of childhood, the relationship between the form of works and expressions was deeply examined and classified, in order to reflect the lyricism about the world of innocence of childhood and surrealistic expression to my works. It is my intention here to awake the 'innocence of childhood' that has been forgotten through the research. It is my desire to express what I have freely imagined and frankly felt, not thinking in a way that is spoiled by adult-oriented thinking. The final goal of this research is to discover the world of innocence of childhood of the appreciator, or in other words, to awake the potential innocence of childhood of adults. Just as my intention to awake the innocence of childhood that has been forgotten through the research, it is my desire to see that this piece can provide an opportunity for the appreciators (adults) to discover the potentially built-in 'innocence of childhood', in order to face the lives more freely and joyfully.
