과장과 왜곡을 활용한 행동 특징의 시각적 표현

Abstract

현대의 예술가들은 자신의 내면속의 다양한 문제들을 예술로서 표출해내고, 예술가의 고유한 감정과 성향이 반영되어 자신의 예술에 적용함으로써 독특한 시각표현을 추구하게 되었다. 인간 정신활동에서 의식이란, 깨어있는 상태에서 자기 자신이나 사물에 대하여 인식하는 작용을 말하고, 사람의 행동은 의식적 정신 활동이 활발한 상태에서 일어난다. 또한 인간의 예술 작품은 작가 고유의 감정과 내면세계가 반영되어 있는 표현 활동에 따른 결과로써 같은 경험이어도 개개인이 느끼게 되는 감정들이 달라 표현법 역시 다양하게 이루어지게 된다. 이러한 무수한 감정들은 행동을 통해 다양하게 표출되며, 감정을 수반할 때 더욱 원활하게 이루어질 수 있다는 것을 문헌자료를 통해 밝혀낼 수 있었다. 이러한 이론적 근거를 토대로, 의식과 감정은 행동을 통해 표현되어질 수 있음을 확인하고, 본연구자의 작품 제작에 있어서도 행동의 측면에서 보다 효과적이고, 더욱 실감나는 표현방법을 모색하고자 한다. 화면의 극적 효과와 흥미로움을 표현하는데 도출된 표현 방법으로 과장과 왜곡, 생략의 표현을 중심으로 하여 작품에 반영하고자 하였다. 이는 다양하고 독창적인 조형성을 추구하는 형태변형을 통해 작품의 의미를 보다 명확히 하고, 미적 효과를 높여주기 위해 본 연구에 적합한 표현 방법이라고 생각했다. 과장된 표현은 대상의 가장 특징적이고 핵심적인 부분을 단순화 하거나 강조하여 전체적인 이미지를 과감하게 변형할 뿐 아니라 내용을 보다 극적으로 표현할 수 있다. 이처럼 과장되고 왜곡된 형태는 감상자에게 미적 쾌감과 다양한 감정을 전달함으로써 적절한 표현 방법이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구자는 위의 사실들을 근거로 삼아 인간의 의식과 감정에서 나타나는 행동을 시각적인 방법으로 과장과 왜곡, 생략의 표현으로 작품에 반영하고자 하였고 연구의 배경이 되는 이론을 토대로 작품을 제작하고 분석하였다. 이를 통해서 감상자들이 공감할 수 있는 본인의 독창적인 표현의 논리를 제시하여 새로운 시각 표현의 가능성을 열고자 하는데 그 의의가 있다. ;Modern artists put diverse problems in their inside into artistic expression and refection of an artist’s own emotion and disposition in application to his art has brought on unique visual expression. In human mental activity, consciousness means the function of perceiving the self or things in his state of staying awake, while man’s behavior occurs when conscious mental activity is active. Besides, man’s artistic work is the result of expression activity reflecting the author’s own emotion and inner world so the same experience produces diverse expressions because of different feelings possessed by each person. Such innumerable emotions are diversely expressed through behaviors and literary data revealed that this function can be made more smoothly when it accompanies emotions. With such theories verifying that consciousness and emotions can be expressed through behavior, the researcher would seek for a more effective and more impressive expression in my production of work in terms of behavior. That is, as a means to expressing dramatic effect and interestingness on the canvas, I tried to reflect expressions of exaggeration, distortion and omission on my work. To me, it was considered a suitable expression for this study in the respect that it can make the meaning of work more clear and improve aesthetic effect through a transformation intended for diverse and original formativeness. Exaggerated expression can transform the whole image daringly and express the content more dramatically by simplifying or emphasizing the most characteristic and essential part of the object. In this sense, an exaggerated and distorted form can be a suitable expression for the viewer because it serves to deliver aesthetic pleasure and diverse emotions. Based on the facts above, the researcher wanted to reflect behaviors coming from human consciousness and emotions on my work visually through the expression of exaggeration, distortion and omission, with production and analysis of work based on the theory in the background of this study. This study has significance in my attempt to open a new possibility for visual expression by presenting my logic of original expression that the viewer can sympathize with.
