동판장식기법을 응용한 의상디자인 연구

Abstract

현대 패션에서 각국의 전통적인 이미지 표현은 패션을 통한 한 국가의 고유한 이미지의 표현이라 볼 수 있다. 이것은 전통 복식의 단순한 재현을 의미하는 것이 아니라 각 나라의 특징적인 문화의 표현을 말하는 것이며 이는 곧 그문화공동체의 미적 상상력의 표현을 의미한다. 따라서 이러한 전통적인 이미지는 복고적이고 지역적인 이미지에 머물 것이 아니라 새롭고 다양한 소재와 기법, 참신한 상상력을 동원하여 동시대적이고 세계화된 전통 이미지로 부각될 필요가 있다. 의상에 있어서 장식으로 활용하는데 필요한 요소로는 새로운 소재 도입, 소재 활용 방법, 장식문양 등이 있다. 이는 독특한 개성과 풍부한 표현의 잠재력을 가지고 있는 소재의 개발과 소재 영역의 확장을 제시하고 또한, 장식문양의 사용에 있어서 각 민족의 특성에서 비롯된 특유의 독특한 문양의 사용을 통해 전통의 현대적 활용으로 인한 다양한 디자인을 창출해 낼 수 있다. 의상 장식의 소재로서의 금속은 시각적이고 촉각적인 효과로 인한 주목성을 가지고 있어 그것을 이용한 복식조형의 예술성을 표현하는데 적극적인 소재로활용될 수 있으며 금속의 물리적, 화학적인 기법을 거쳐 디자이너의 창작 소재로 활용되어 한정된 소재의 한계점에서 벗어나 무한한 표현 잠재력이 있음을 보여줄 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 전통 복식과 현대의 조화 속에서 한국 전통 문양의 아름다움과 조형적 감각을 의상의 한 부분에 표현하고 의상의 장식 부분에서 활용될 소재에 새로운 기법을 도입함으로써 전통의 미를 현대의상으로 재현하는 가능성을 제시해 보고자한다. 연구 방법 및 내용으로는 먼저 이론적 배경으로 문헌 고찰을 통한 자료를 바탕으로 우리나라 전통문양 중에서 조선시대 금박문양을 중심으로 분석하고 의상디자인의 장식으로 활용될 금속재료의 특성과 조형기법을 연구하였으며 그절차는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전통 금박 문양의 종류와 각각의 의미를 분석하고 금박 문양이 사용된 의상의 사례를 살펴보았다. 둘째, 금속공예 념을 정리하고 금속공예의 특징과 기법을 분류하였으며 금속공에 기법을 응용한 장신구와 의상디자인의 사례들을 살펴보는 한편, 의상디자인에서의 장식으로 활용되기에 적절한 금속의 종류와 기법을 연구하였다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 조선시대 금박 문양을 모티브로 삼아 금속을 물리적 화학적 기법으로 새롭게 조형하여 장식으로 활용한 총 8점의 의상을 제작하였으며 이를 통하여 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 의상의 장식으로 활용될 수 있는 요소는 여러 가지가 있는데 그 중 비교적 보편적이지 않은 금속은 그 자체로서의 사용도 무리가 없으나 화학적 공정을 거쳐 얻어진 질감과 발색은 새로운 느낌을 표현할 수 있었다. 둘째, 얇은 동판을 장식으로 사용함에 있어 모티브로 삼은 전통 문양은 부식된 동판의 고풍스런 느낌과 어우러져 우리나라의 고유한 이미지를 한층 돋보이게 할 수 있었다. 셋째, 의상 장식의 컷워크와 아플리케 자수 기법을 사용하기 위해서는 얇은 동판은 손질이 용이하여 섬세한 전통 문양을 재현해 내는데 무리가 없어 다양한 활용을 도모할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 전통문양으로 말미암아 고유한 이미지를 표현하는 한편, 의상에 있어서 금속이라는 새로운 소재를 도입하여 우리나라의 전통적인 이미지를 독창적으로 표현하여 세계에 알리는데 도움이 되리라 여겨진다. 그러므로 앞으로 전통문양의 새로운 차원의 발견에 대한 다양한 접근과 시도가 계속 이루어 져야 할 것으로 보이며 또한 본 연구가 보다 새롭고 적극적인 소재와 소재기법 개발에 접근하는 길잡이가 되기를 바란다. ;A traditional image expression of an each nation through fashion can see a unique fashion in a modern fashion. This means an expression of culture, it doen't mean simple revival of a classic dress and its ornament. In other words, it means an expression of an aesthetic imagination of the culture community. Therefore, don't let these traditional images stay with a local and old image. this kind of traditional images need new and mobilize various materials and a technique, so it needs to be raise as contemporary and worldwide traditional images. There are several necessary factors which is untilized as decoration in custome such as new material introduction, a material utilization way and a decoration pattern. This presents development of a material having a characteristic personality and potential power of abundant expressions and expansion of material scope, and it can also create various designs through using of a particular characteristic pattern originated from in an each ethnic haracteristic in use of a decoration pattern. It expresses the compound plastic art style that metal as a material of a costume decoration is visual and has hostile feeling effect, but It can be uesed as an aggressive material and pass through a physical chemical technique of metal. after that it can show potentiality of eternal expression with a creation material of a designer. This study will be expressed a few beautiful thing and molding of a Chosun Dynasty compound pattern and a classic pattern Korean in a modern's harmony and I want to suggest the possibility which is introduced a new technique to a material express by a sense in a decoration part of costume First of all, I analyze a Chosun Dynasty gold leaf pattern among our country's classic patterns with a base with compunction data by literature consideration to the center in theoretical background, it will be uesed as a decoration of a costume design in a study way and contents. Firstly, I looked into a reward of the costume , a kind of a classic gold leaf pattern and each meaning, and a gold leaf pattern which was spent on. Secondly, I arranged metal industry arts and classified characteristics and a technique of metal industry arts and applied a technique to a metal industry art of a costume design, I studied a kind and a technique of appropriate metal. The conclusion that I made eight points of total costumes which I consider a Chosun Dynasty gold leaf pattern a motive with a base, and molding newly does metal with a physical chemical technique, and used these theoretical backgrounds by a decoration, and was got through. Firstly, there are several factors which can be utilized as a decoration of cosume but a crowd wasn't by use as itself either, but the metal which wasn't comparatively universal was able to express new feeling to the quality and the color which passed through a chemical process. Secondly, a thin copper plate as a decoration the classic pattern was able to let antique feeling of a corroded copper plate and a unique image of our country become attractive still more by a motive. Thirdly, a thin copper plate has reappeared a delicate classic pattern in order to use aplike embroidery technique and cutwork of a costume decoration so it is worth encouraging to utilize. I want it to be introduced traditional image of our country through a new material called metal in one, expressing a unique image because of the classic pattern through this study Therefore, I expect various approaches and tries about discovery of a new dimension of a classic pattern continuously to achieve it in the future. At the same time,I hope that this researcher will be a material which is new and is approachable to material technique development.
