기업포탈사이트의 사용성 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 현재 국내외 기업들이 관심을 가지고 도입을 추진하고 있는 기업포탈(EIP: Enterprise Information Portal)의 사용성(usability)을 향상 시키기 위하여 사용성평가 방법론 중 기업포탈에 맞는 다양한 사용성 평가 모형을 적용하여 특정 EIP 사이트에 대한 사용성 평가를 수행하였고 이 연구 결과를 바탕으로 기업포탈사이트에 맞는 개선된 유저 인터페이스(UI: User Interface)와 사용성 향상을 위한 UI 구축 방안을 제시하였다. 일반적으로 UI(User Interface)라고 하면 일반인 또는 컨슈머(Consumer) 대상의 웹사이트에서 주로 논의가 되었으며, 시스템 통합(SI)에서는 UI를 그다지 고려하지 않았다. SI에서는 사용성 보다 통합(integration)이 중요시 되어왔다. 그러나 기업 내 산재해있는 정보 인프라 및 외부 자원을 통합하는 기업포탈(EIP) 등의 시스템이 도입되면서 UI의 중요성이 새롭게 인식되고 있다. 기업 내 모든 직원들이 단일 웹 인터페이스를 통하여 서로 다른 데이터를 검색하고 공유해 편리하게 사용하려면 사용성이 고려되어야 한다. 인터페이스는 '사람이 활동하는 총체적 환경'이라고 할 수 있다. 전자기기나 웹사이트 외에 인트라넷, 발전소, 기업포탈 등은 결국 사람이 일하는 환경이자 인터페이스이다. 오늘날 사람의 활동은 90% 이상이 인지적인 활동이다. 인터페이스는 사람이 가장 좋은 환경에서 일을 할 수 있도록 만들어주는 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사용성 평가 모형 중에서 기업포탈에 알맞은 사용성 평가 방법으로 기업포탈사이트의 UI가 지니는 특수성에 가장 적합한 Method를 적용하여, 분석 단계에서는 사용자 측면, 전략 및 환경적 측면, 서비스 측면의 복합적인 결과를 도출하여 기업포탈사이트의 UI 개선 방향을 제시하여 기업포탈 구축 및 재개발 시에 사용성 향상을 기대할 수 있을 것이다. ;In this study, to improve usability of Enterprise Information Portal (EIP), we present a desirable plan for constructing User Interface (UI) of EIP, of which many domestic and foreign companies are promoting introduction with an interest, on the basis of usability assessment through application of various usability assessment models to a specific EIP website. In general, UI was not regarded as an important part of System Integration (SI), while it was taken much interest in case of the public or the consumer-oriented websites. Integration has been considered to be more important than usability. With the introduction of EIP systems that consolidate scattered information infra and external resources over the company, the importance of UI is recognized anew. The usability should be duly considered for all the staff's convenient usage including searching and sharing of data through singular web interface. We can define the interface as the whole environment where the human beings are in action. In addition to electronic devices and websites, intra - nets, power plants, and EIP systems are after all both environment and interface for human work. Actions related to recognition form 90 percent of Human activities. It is Interface that make people work under the best condition. Therefore, we chose usability assessment method for EIP among various models with regard to particularity of UI of EIP websites. Then, in the analysis stage, we drew composite results from the three aspects-user, strategy and environment, and service - to present direction for improvement of UI, which can help to make usability better when EIP is built or renewed.
