고등학교 미술 수업에 있어서 통합적 표현활동을 위한 수업 지도연구

Abstract

Art education aims at arousing creative thought and potentiality and cultivating emotion feeling. Especially high school art activity of the 7th art education curriculum puts emphasis on developing ability of expressing creatively. High school art education is a synthetic, arranging step based on the results of study in middle school. But actually it is difficult to succeed this education aim in art class of high school. The reason is that art class is reduced, space is limited and it is very hard for one teacher to guide many students in consideration of individual characteristics. Moreover in art class, students don't choose materials, tools and expression methods themselves suitable for topics, but mostly the class is proceeded to use materials and tools which are presented by a teacher. So this study is to find out teaching methods for synthetic expression activities that students choose various art materials, tools and expression methods to make book art themselves and create freely. For this, the method of this study is as follows. First of all, I try to study characteristics and contents in the 7th art education curriculum, synthetic expression activities in art class and educational effects that the concepts and productions of art book influence synthetic expression activity theoretically in relation to making book art. Secondly I make lesson plans about the synthetic expression activity to make book art and then perform the production and impression of book art for 9 class periods with 1st grade students in high school. During that time I look into students' opinions about a synthetic expression activity. According to the analysis on the evaluation of study outcome and research, students have high will to express very free before studying, but they are ready for study passively in real class. But through the art book class, it is possible for them to prepare for class positively besides revealing longing for free expression. Also, we can reach a conclusion that they have very high accomplishment and satisfaction after doing unified expression activity freely and positively. ;미술교육은 학생들의 창의적인 사고와 잠재성을 일깨워주며 정서함양을 그 목적으로 하고 있다. 특히 7차 교육과정의 고등학교 미술과정 중 표현영역은 자신의 생각과 느낌을 표현하는데 있어 의도한 것을 창의적으로 표현할 수 있는 능력을 기르도록 하는 데에 중점을 두고 있다. 고등학교 미술 교육은 중학교 학습의 성과를 바탕으로 종합 · 정리하는 단계이다. 그러나 고등학교 현장에서 이루어지는 미술수업에서는 이러한 교육목표를 이루기가 어려운 것이 사실이다. 그 이유는 수업시수의 축소와 제한된 공간, 더욱이 한명의 교사가 많은 학생들의 개별적인 특성을 고려하여 지도하기가 매우 어렵기 때문이다. 그리하여 미술 표현수업은 학생들이 표현주제에 알맞은 재료와 용구 및 표현방법을 스스로 선택하기 보다는 주로 교사가 제시한 재료, 용구를 사용하여 표현활동 수업이 진행되는 경우가 많다. 따라서 본 연구는 학생들이 북 아트 제작을 위하여 다양한 미술 재료와 용구 및 표현방법을 스스로 선택하여 자유롭게 창작할 수 있는 통합적인 표현활동을 위한 지도방안을 모색해 보는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위한 연구방법으로는 먼저, 제 7차 미술과 교육과정의 특징 및 내용과 미술수업에 있어서 통합적 표현활동, 그리고 북 아트 제작과 관련하여 북 아트의 개념과 북 아트 제작이 통합적 표현활동에 미치는 교육적 효과를 이론적으로 고찰해 본다. 다음으로는 북 아트 제작을 위한 통합적 표현활동 수업 지도안을 계획, 작성하여 고등학교 1학년을 대상으로 하여 총 9차시에 걸쳐 북 아트 제작 및 감상수업을 수행하였으며, 통합적 표현활동에 대한 학생들의 의견을 설문하였다. 수업 결과물의 평가와 설문지를 분석한 결과, 수업을 받기 전에는 학생들의 미술에 대한 긍정적 인지도와 함께, 자유롭게 수업을 하려는 의지는 아주 높으나 실제 수업에 있어서는 수동적인 준비를 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 북 아트 수업을 통하여 자유로운 표현에 대한 갈망이 적극적인 준비와 함께 이루어진 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 학생들이 북 아트 제작을 통해 자유롭고 적극적인 통합적 표현활동을 한 결과, 수업 성취도와 만족도가 높다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구는 이러한 통합적 표현활동을 위한 지도 방안의 연구가 계속 보완되어 학생들이 미술에 대한 이해와 새로운 것에 대한 창조와 그것을 향유할 수 있는 창의적인 미술교육으로 발전되는데 이바지하게 되기를 기대한다.
