아동의 인지능력을 적용한 사인 디자인(Sign Design)

Abstract

현대사회의 발달로 인하여 여성들의 의식개혁과 경제적 자립으로 자녀를가진 기혼여성의 취업이 가속화됨에 따라서 보육시설이 중가하고 있다. 그에따라서 아동들은 가정이 아닌 보육시설에서 대부분의 시간을 보내게 되었다. 국가의 지원으로 인해 보육시설의 수적 중가는 계속적으로 이루어지고 있으나그 시설면에서는 부족한 실정이다. 보육시설의 이용자인 아동이 시설의 이용에있어서 편리함과 정확한 전달을 위한 사인(Sign)에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 현재 국내 보육시설의 사인이 어떻게 계획되고 사인들이실제로 어떻게 배치되고 있는가 그 실태를 조사분석하고 문제점을 파악하여이용자인 아동들이 좀더 효과적이고 편리하게 보육시설을 이용할 수 있도록아동의 인지능력에 맞는 사인을 디자인하려는 목적으로 수행되었다. 조사대상으로는 국내 현 보육시설 다섯 곳을 기준 자료로 삼아 실태조사를하였으며, 문헌 연구를 통하여 영상시대를 살고 있는 아동의 인지능력과사인에 대한 이론적 사항을 고찰하였다. 선정된 다섯 곳의 보육시설을 대상으로 현재 설치되어 이용되고 있는사인의 크기, 색채, 형태를 조사하였으며, 조사 내용을 사진으로 제시하였다. 그리고 담당자와의 면담을 통해서 부착방법 및 관리가 어떻게 이루어지고있는지 알아보았다. 현대 영상시대를 살아가는 아동의 인지능력을 문헌을 통해서 연구하였으며, 이런 이론적 사항을 적용하여 보육시설에 알맞은 사인을 디자인하여 제시 하였다. 이에 따른 본 연구의 요약은 우선, 본문 제 2장에서는 아동의 인지능력을 지각능력, 기억능력, 지적능력으로 나누어 영상시대를 살아가는 아동에 대해 살펴 보았다. 또한 아동의인지능력에 맞는 사인 디자인을 위한 기준이자, 본 작품 연구를 위한 개념과영 역을 제시하였다. 그리고 제 3장에서는 사인의 개념과 기능, 역할, 구성요소 그리고 사인의지각 원리에 대해 이론적으로 고찰하였다. 제 4장에서는 현 보육시설의 사인의 현황을 제시하고 그에 따른 문제점과개선방향을 분석하였다. 마지막으로 제 5장에서는 이상과 같은 연구조사의 결과로서 아동의인지능력을 적용한 사인디자인을 제시하고 제시한 사인디자인에 대한 아동의이해도를 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 살펴보면, 아직까지 보육시설의 사인으로 아동의인지능력의 적용이 부족한 것으로 나타났으며 그 관리 또한 미흡한 것으로판단된다. 따라서 보육시설의 사인을 디자인 하는데 있어서 아동에게 안내의기능과 더볼어 인지발달에 도움이 되는 주변 환경조성을 위해 아동의인지능력이 고려 되어야 할 것이다.;There are increasing numbers of child care facilities by support of government, however, lacks at the quality of facilities. And there are demands for better facilities. Therefore studies on child care facilities are must be done for the clients--the children that are mostly spend their time in the facilities. In order to make the children use the facilities with convenient and delivering accurate information, the research on sign is needed. The study illustrates how signs in Korea's child care facilities planedand how signs are located in the actual facilities. And also illustrates howsign designs apply children's intelligence is demonstrated and how the designs that applying the children's intelligence used in the facilities for the clients-children in order to use the facilities effective and comfortably. Case studies are done on five childcare faculties in Seoul and the research is also focused on the child's intellectual abilities and signs related to children's intellectual ability that are living video media environment in Korea. The attached photos are illustrated the sizes, colors, shape of the signs in the selected five facilities. And interviews with personals of the faculties also analyzed how the signs are posted and controlled in the facilities. Also more detailed research is done on children's intellectual ability and its effects on children living in multimedia society. The sign designs are submitted based on the research and applied the research in making the sign designs. In chapter 2, the research divided child's intelligence into three parts:sensory, memory, intellect. Also it illustrated the general views and the general statements of the summiting sign designs. Chapter 3 analyzed the definition of sign design for children, the roles, effects, intellectual abilities of children In designing signs. In chapter 4, analyzed the current situations of sign designs in the facilities and indicated the problems and changes. Chapter 5 indicates the result of the study on "Sign designs applying children's intellectual abilities and analyzed the children's interoperation of the sign design. As the result of the study, lack of understanding in designing the signs for children are found and the sign designs need to apply children's intellectual senses and view points of children who use the facilities. Therefore, the intellectual understanding of signs and intellectual abilities of children are must considered in designing signs for the child care families.
