국민학교 1학년 어린이들의 수개념 형성에 관한 연구

Abstract

초등수학 교육 현대화에서 가장 중요한 것이 집합을 이용한 기본적인 수 개념 이해에 중점을 둔 점이다. 특히 수 개념 발달은 아동기에 완성되므로 시기에 맞는 적절한 지도를 해야 한다. 효과적인 지도를 위해서는 어린이들의 수개념이 어떻게 형성되어 있는지 알아야 한다. 본 연구는 국민학교 일학년 어린이들의 수개념이 어떻게 형성되어 있나 사펴보는 것을 목적으로 조사 대상은 일학년 어린이 900명중 지능검사 수준으로 우수아 30명 정상아 30명 저능아 30명을 선정하였다. 조사방법은 피아제(Jean Piaget)의 수개념에 관한 실험을 참고로 하여 일대 일 대응의 개념 집합의 비교개념, 순서수의 개념을 개별적으로 조사하였다. 조사결과 일학년 어린이들의 수개념은 직관단계에서 구체적 단계로 넘어 가는 과도기에 있다는 것을 알았다. 그리고 피아제의 수개념 발달 이론이 대체로 일치하는 반응을 보였다. 또한 지능과 수개념 형성과의 사이에는 상당한 의의있는 상관관계를 보였으나 남녀별에는 아무런 의의있는 차가 없었다. 이런 결과에 비추어 국민학교에 입학한 어린이들(6~7세)은 수개념 발달 단계중에서 가장 중요한 시기에 있으므로 수 개념을 정확하게 이해하도록 하여야 한다. 교사 자신도 일학년 어린이들은 구체적인 조작단계로 넘어 가는 과도기에 있음을 알고 그 단계에 맞는 적절한 지도를 하여야 할 것이다.;We know well that the most important point of mcdernizing primary methematics education is the comprehension about the basic arithmetic conception using set. Childhood is the important course of a child growing becouse the development of arithmetic conception is built during this stage. We must know well how come the numeral conception is formed in order to guide the child effectively forcusing this stage. This research aimed on how formed the arithmetic conception of the first grade children of elementary school. I collect 30 excellent and 30 normal children among nine hundreds children of the first grade by the degree of mental testing. I refer Jean Piagetts experimentation on the formation of figure conception and I research one-one correspondence notion relative concept of set and procedure conception individually. The result of this research show that the elementary school first grade children's numeral conception is on the way of transitional period from preoperational stage (Stage Ⅱ) to concrete operational stage (Stage Ⅲ), so to speak, this research coinside almost with Jean Piaget's developing theory of numeral conception. Mental faculties and numeral notion relate very deep and there was not important relation whether they are boys or girls. Like the result of this research, the first grade children aged from six years old to seven years old are on the most important stage in the view of development of figure notion. So we have to guide them to gather correct experience on numeral conception. And furthermore, there have to be effective guidence which is fitted to their developing stage.
