스키웨어의 기능성을 일상복에 응용한 복식에 관한 연구

Abstract

To meet the trends required by the clothing culture in our mordern world, this study aims to introduce some characteristic functions of the sports wear into the casual wear, throwing conventional clothing pattern away, and to improve comfort that cloths offer with more widespread versatility. The contents of and methods for this study are refered to from literatures which deal with the definition of sports wear and theoretical backgrounds of the changes of its times. Also ski suits are focused in reviewing their major functions connected with exercise, protective functions from special atmosphere, functional structure of zipper, and other ornaments. Using photos as reference, costume designs applying sports wear are analyzed. Works have their motives in the modification of ski suits sports functions, body protection function, and the method of wearing by zipper. 6 pieces of men's wears and 2 pieces of wonmen's wears as large as life are prepared. The results of this study are as follows : First, as taking into consideration the areas near elbows knees which are likely to move more frequently than any other parts, the basic characteristics when designing a ski suit, the comfortable functions; of dart or pleats are introduced in order to reinforce comfort for modern energetic people. Second, the protective function of a ski suit is reinforced by means of quilting to have heating and ornamental effects. Third the possibility of attaching or seperating some parts of ski suits with the view of adapting oneself to surrounding temperature is applied to make two or three suits out of one suit, focusing on the trend of modern fashion which attaches great importance to function and utility. Four, every work is equipped with the function of zipper to wear comfortably and to have multipurpose practicality. As described above, utility, functionality, comfort, and ornametal offects can be added. In addition, it may be safely said that what have been discoverod in the study will be much helpful to the development of current fashion circle which face various needs according to a given period. Finally, it is my hope that my little study may pave the way for another new direction for our fashion industry.;복식은 미적인 만족감은 물론 입어서 편안하고 생활을 즐겁게 하는 디자인이어야 함을 전제 조건으로 한다. 그리고 그 시대의 패션은 정치, 사회, 경제의 움직임과 연결되고 인간의 감성과 감정이 반영된다. 사람들의 생활 그 자체가 패션을 만들어 내는 것이다. 최근 이데올로기의 붕괴, 물건과 정보의 범람 및 국제화, 경제 불황속에서 고급 지향이던 소비의식이 상품을 엄선하는 실질적인 방향으로 전환되면서 실용성과 기능성을 중시하게 되었다. 본 연구는 이러한 시대적인 추세에 맞추어 스포츠 웨어의 기능적인 요소를 일상복에 도입하여 형식적인 의복 구성에서 벗어나 편안함과 여러가지의 기능으로 활용하여 착용할 수 있는 다용도의 기능성등을 응용하여 실용적인 복식의 형태를 찾아 보는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 내용 및 방법은 스포츠 웨어의 정의와 변천사의 이론적 배경을 문헌을 통하여 고찰하였고 스키복을 중심으로 운동성과 관련된 주요 기능과 환경으로부터의 신체 보호 기능 및 지퍼를 이용한 기능성과 장식적인 측면을 살펴보았다. 그리고 스포츠 웨어를 응용한 의상디자인을 자료 사진을 토대로 분석하여 보았다. 작품은 스키복에서의 운동 기능성과 신체 보호 및 지퍼를 이용한 다용도의 착용 형태의 변화를 모티브로하여 남성복 6점, 여성복 2점의 실물 작품을 제작하였다. 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스키복 디자인의 기본 특징인 팔꿈치와 무릎의 운동 범위를 고려한 다아트나 주름의 기능성을 일상 활동복에 응용하여 활동량이 많은 현대인들에게 편안함을 줄 수 있었다. 둘째, 스키복의 보호대 기능성을 퀼팅으로 응용하여 보온성과 함께 장식적인 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 세째, 기후 적응을 위해 옷의 일부를 탈, 부착하는 스키복에서의 기능성을 응용하여 한벌의 옷으로 두 세벌의 효과를 얻어 기능과 실용을 중시하는 현대의 패션 의식에 촛점을 맞출 수 있었다. 네째, 모든 작품에 지퍼의 기능성을 이용하여 착용의 편리함과 다용도의 실용성을 줄 수 있었다. 따라서 실용성과 기능성 그리고 편안함과 더불어 장식성의 효과까지 얻을 수 있었다. 그리고 이러한 연구결과는 시대적인 욕구와 함께 앞으로의 패션에 충분히 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 끝으로 본인의 부족한 이 연구가 패션 업계에 새로운 디자인의 방향으로 제시되기를 바란다.
