Abstract
Around 1980 American photographers became lively because of new wave which is the new trend of photography constructing the world of fiction. The common characteristic of the photographers in new wave takes a photography of imaginary world of their own, abandoning reality due to indifference for real world. Therefore the goal of their pursuit is net reality but amusement of image, i.e. the game of intellectual reflection modeling. The photographies of new trend, with the changed relationship between the media and art works, are the most prominent genre with the aesthetics of 20th century. Thus, an obligation of photographic artists is extention of their influential range stimulating more passion and imagination in the front of camera than back. In this paper, related to my art works, I research background and strategy of constructed photography and analyse the trend of major artists in this tendency. And I select for my work transparent objects which are appropriate for expression of various characters of light because they are solid and transparent simultaneously. And finally through interpretation for my works, I would like to find out a new way of still life photography.;1980년대에 들어서면서 미국의 사진계는 활발한 양상을 띄게 되는데, 이는 허구의 세계를 추구하는 뉴웨이브(New wave)라 불리는 새로운 경향의 사진이 커다란 물결로 번졌기 때문이다. 이 뉴웨이브 조류 사진작가들의 공통적 특징은 현실세계에 대한 무관심으로 실제(reality)를 포기하고, 자신들이 직접 만든 가상의 세계를 촬영하는 것이다. 그러므로 그들이 추구하는 것은 실제가 아닌 이미지의 유희성, 즉 지적 영상 모방 게임이다. 매체에 대한 관계가 이처럼 변화된 새로운 경향의 뉴웨이브 구성사진은 20세기 미학과 더불어 가장 특징있는 장르이다. 따라서, 사진예술가의 의무는 사진기의 후면보다는 전면에서 더 많은 열성과 상상력을 동원하여 자신의 영향력권을 확장시키는 것이 되었다. 본 논문에서 본인의 작품제작과 관련하여, 구성사진의 배경과 전략을 연구하고, 대표적 구성사진 작가들의 경향을 분석한다. 그리고 작품의 대상으로서 그 자체의 실체성과 투명성으로 인해 다양한 빛의 성질을 표현하는데 적절한 투명한 물체를 선택하여 제작하고, 제작된 작품의 해석을 통하여 정물사진의 새로운 방향을 모색하고자 한다.
