중국민속복식을 응용한 현대복식 디자인 연구

Abstract

Folk dress and its ornament mean the clothing that includes natural enviroment 2nd the people's spirit, and even religious influence on the country. However, recently with the cultural, economical exchange between countries increased and mass media developed, the folk dress and its ornament which differ between regions or the peoples appear to be in common forms or styles. So, in accordance with such a worldy trend of clothing, the purpose of the present study is to understand some characteristics of the folk dress and its ornament of the Qing dynasty which has significantly influenced the folk dress and its ornament of our country and whose motif has been frequantly used in modern dress arid its ornament, find out the possibility of utilization of the motif to design dress and its ornament out of the fence of custom which has been accustomed to us, and thereby bear a part of the internationalization of our dress and its ornament. For that purpose, how the folk dresses of the Qing dyansty was transformed and developed has been reviewed in the perspective of Chinese history, culture and religion through some documents in order to understand Chinese folk dresses in general. And with some works of chinese dresses sampled, the characteristic forms, patterns, colors, and subject matters of the folk dresses of the Qing's dynasty have been analytically studied, and in its result, it has been found out that the Chinese style of dresses facilitates the utilization of the motif of dress design. Then based on that findings, some dresses have been produced, thereby searching for the possiblity to design dresses which meet modern senses. Results from such a study are as follows : First, it has been identified that the transformation and development of the folk dresses of the Chinese Qing dynasty represent the social, psychological, emotional, aesthetic expressions into shaping. Second, in a result of a scientific analysis of the patterns, subject matters, forms, and colors of the dresses of the Chinese Qing dynasty, it has been found out that those elements of design have diversity and originality no less inferior than those elements of modern design. Third, through a review of the realities of modern fashion whose motif comes from the folk dresses of the Chinese Qing dynasty, it has been found out that the folk dress takes a significant role of modern fashion design with a worldly trend of rapid internationalization of such design. And through production of some works of clothing, it has been identified that there is the possiblity ot produce dresses which can be felt of such a practical, individual , and modern atomsphere. Based on the findings so far made, it can be concluded that the dress design whose motif comes from folk dresses is of a worldly trend, also the cause of creative design thereby its marketability being limitless. As such, by researching into the Chinese traditional dress and its ornament, this writer thinks that the originality of the Korean traditional dress and its ornament can be better understood. It is deemed that through this study, the diversity, originality, and creative possiblity of the Chinese traditional dress and its ornament has been recognized anew.;민속복식이란 그 나라의 자연환경과 문화적 환경 그리고 민족정신을 내포하며, 종교적 영향까지 수용하는 그 나라 고유의 의상을 말한다. 그러나 현대에 이르러서는 국가간의 문화적·경제적 교류가 증가하고 매스미디어의 발달로, 지역과 민족에 따라 달랐던 민속복식이 세계적으로 공통된 형태로 나타나고 있다. 이에 본 연구논문은 우리나라에 많은 영향을 끼쳤으며 현대복식에 가장 빈번한 모티브로 사용되고 있는 청대의 민속복식의 특징을 이해하여, 우리가 익숙해져 있는 관습의 울타리를 넘어 새로운 복식디자인을 하기 위한 모티브로서의 활용가능성을 알아보고, 이를 통하여 우리나라 디자인의 국제화에 일익을 담당하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구논문은 다음과 같은 방법으로 청대민속복식을 고찰하였다. 우선, 중국의 민속복식중 청대의상이 어떻게 변화·발전해왔는지 역사·문화·종교적 관점에서 문헌고찰을 통해 살펴봄으로써 중국민속의상을 이해하고자 하였다. 아울러 청대민속의상의 특징적인 형태, 문양, 색상, 소재를 분석하여 작품을 표집하여 제시함으로써, 중국풍의 창조적인 디자인의 모티브로의 활용을 용이하게 하였다. 이를 토대로 하여 의상을 제작해 봄으로써, 현대적 감각에 부응하는 의상으로서의 디자인의 가능성을 살펴보았다. 위와 같은 고찰을 통하여 얻은 결과를 살펴보면 아래와 같다. 첫째, 중국 청대의 민속의상의 변화 및 발전 역시 그 시대적 사회적·심리적·감정적·미적 표현의 형상화임을 확인하였다. 둘째, 중국 청대의 민속의상의 문양, 소재, 형태, 색채의 과학적 분석을 시도했으며, 그 결과 위의 디자인요소들이 현대에 못지않는 다양함과 독창성이 있음을 확인했다. 세째, 청대의 민속의상을 모티브로 한 현대의 패션상황을 고찰해 봄으로써, 민속의상이 이제는 현대패션 디자인의 중요한 모티브로의 역할을 하고 있으며, 따라서 급속한 국제화가 진행됨을 확인하였다. 그리고 작품제작을 통하여 실용성이 있으면서 개성적이고 현대적 분위기를 느끼게 하는 작품제작의 가능성을 확인하였다. 이는 민속의상을 모티브로 한 의상디자인은 이미 세계적 조류이며 또한 창조적 디자인의 근원이며, 따라서 시장성은 무한하다고 결론지을 수 있다. 이상과 같은 중국전통복식을 연구함으로써 한국전통복식의 독창성을 더 잘 이해할 수 있을 수 있다고 생각한다. 그리고 중국전통복식의 다양성과 독창성에서 창조적인 가능성을 새롭게 인식하였다.
