번지기 효과에 의한 내적 심상 연구

Abstract

The pursuit of esthetics in the activity of formation appears in manifolds, depending on the creative wil and on the personal method of expression of the artist especially, it is not a direct imitation by taking in the outside appearance of things but it is expression throuh the pure act of formation of the author's inner sense of the mind. As this tendency is toward all the field of esthetics, and the wide, consensus of opinion is even on the textile art, one can observe that the artists are escaping from the functionalism method of expression but are pursuing the formative expressional potentiality based on sensibility and the expressional intention of the author that is nor tred to formality. The physical phenomenon for the voluntary action in expression causes the authors to possess an unlimited sense of imagination and raise the strong desire and interest in the creation of esthetics, and the unlimited characteristics cause an unintened effect by chance. Therefore, the characteristics of chances became important as an indispensable element in the principle of controlled characteristics of chance to the artists, as they realized themselves the limit of expression when they pursue for the expression by contingency. Therefore, with the interest in the senses of formation that is known as the expression of inner world based on the principle of characteristics of chances, and, with the intension of studying the international characteristics of chances together with the contingency that is possesed by the material themselves, and through the strains and line formatior according to Danagaken EX spreading, the writer had its objective in this study rooted in the genuine sentiment of life in subjectively expressing one's feeling. In the course of creating the work, one has taken into account the life of the writer, as the main theme, within the relation with the continuious change of the surroundingl; and, as to the realization of the "traces" pertaining to the by gone memories, one has especially adopted the stains and lines that derives from the Danagaken EX spreading with the researcher's inner mind expression. Thus, with the intentionally expressing the lines on the surface of the picture, one has expressed the "traces" of the memories with implied expression, On one hand, the test result on the course of the spreading effect that takes place in the process of expression with different unit denier of silk fabric, it was found that the thin, close knit texture of the silk fabric showed a better spreading and line effect than the heavier silk fabric. Thus, the reasearcher was able to grope intentionally the quality effectiveness that appears on the pictures and was able to approach closer to the "traces" of the memories that have taken position deeply in one's mind. As to the expressing of the inner mind in the process of producing th work. One was able to recognize that the intentional characteristic of chances determines the contents of expression and formality. Furthermore, the two factors that appear on the work, namely, the harmony between the formation by chance caused by the spreading and the line is for the creation of image from the inner realm of the mind; This is called the abstractunal form in the languge of the formative arts. The researcher is in the aim to continue to prusue in the throughgoing study on the principle of the characteristic of chances with much research through the creativeness and with individualism in the realm of formative arts.;조형 활동에 있어 미적 추구는 예술가들의 창작의지와 독자적인 표현방법에 따라 다양한 양상으로 나타나고 있다. 특히 사물의 외형적 형상을 받아들여 직접적으로 모방을 하는 것이 아니라 작가의 내면 세계를 순수한 조형 행위를 통해 표현해 나아가고 있다. 이러한 예술전반의 경향은 섬유예술에도 조형적으로 그 공감대를 넓히게 됨에 따라 과거의 기능주의적인 표현방법에서 벗어나 작가의 표현의도와 방식에 의해 형식에 구애받지 않고 감성을 바탕으로 한 조형적 표현가능성을 추구하고 있다. 표현에 있어서 자발적 행위를 위한 물리적 현상은 작가로 하여금 무한한 상상력을 느끼게 하고 예술 창작의 강한 욕구와 흥미를 일으키게 하며, 그 비제한적 특성은 뜻하지 않은 우연의 효과를 야기시키기도 한다. 그러므로 우연성은 과거의 우연적 표현을 추구하였던 작가들 스스로 표현의 한계를 인식하게 되면서 통제된 우연성의 원리가 예술가들의 창작 행위에 있어 필수적인 요소로 중요시되었다. 따라서 본 연구자는 우연성의 원리에 의한 내면 세계의 표출이라는 조형 의식에 관심을 갖고 재료 자체가 가진 특성에 의한 우연적 효과와 함께 의도적인 우연성을 연구하고자 하여 다나가겡 EX의 번짐 효과에 의해 형성된 얼룩들과 선들을 통해 본 연구자의 진정한 삶의 체험을 바탕으로 한 주관적인 심상을 표현하고자 하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 작품 제작에 있어 자신의 삶을 주제로 삼으면서 끊임없는 주변사항과의 관계 속에서 움직이고 변화하는 실체로서의 모습을 지니며, 지나간 기억들에 대한 '흔적'들은 형상화하는데 있어서 특히 다나가겡 EX에 의하여 번지면서 생기는 얼룩과 선들의 형상을 연구자의 내적 심상 표현에 그 주류를 이루게 하고, 그 화면 위로 의도적인 선 표현을 해줌으로써 기억에 대한 '흔적'을 함축하여 표현한 것이라 할 수 있다. 한편 표현과정에서, 각기 다른 무게를 가진 실크(silk)에서 번지는 효과가 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지에 대하여 실험 한 결과, 얇고 조직이 치밀한 견섬유 상에서 번짐과 선 효과가 보다 효과적으로 잘 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이에 따라 본 연구자는 화면상에서 나타난 질감 효과를 의도적으로 모색 할 수 있었으며 심층 깊숙히 자리잡고 있는 기억에 대한 '흔적'들에 다소 가깝게 다가설 수 있었다. 작품 제작을 위한 내적 심상 표현에 있어서 의도된 우연성은 표현 내용과 형식을 결정하게 된다는 것을 인식하게 되었다. 또한 작품에 나타난 두가지 요소, 즉 번짐에 의한 우연적인 형들과 선의 조화는 내면적인 세계의 이미지를 창조하기 위한 조형 언어로서 이는 추상적 형태를 이루었다. 이에 본 연구자는 우연서의 원리에 대하여 좀 더 지속적이고 많은 연구를 통하여 창의적이고 독자적이 조형세계를 추구해 나아가고자 한다.
