사무공간에 있어서 중간영역적 공간(Intermediate space)의 디자인에 관한 연구

Abstract

공간 디자인에 있어서 지속된 종합성, 내지는 통일성의 추구 등 지나치게 계산된 디자인 질서의 고수는 공간의 고정화를 초래하며, 이는 보편적이고 균질적인 공간을 형성한다. 하나의 공간내에서 세분화된 모든 공간은 각기 그 고유한 기능과 이질적인 성격을 가지고 서로 만나게 된다. 이러한 공간의 만남은 고정적인 공간에 긴박한 대립의 장을 형성하여 이 공간을 보다 의미있고 목적을 가진 공간으로 만들어준다. 한 공간의 주된 기능을 수행하는 목적공간 간의 만남은 그 경계부에 부수적인 기능을 수행하는 중간영역을 형성하게 된다. 이때 만남은 시각적으로는 곡선과 직선 경질의 것과 연질의 것의 조합에 의해 또한 기능적으로는 단위공간 사이의 상호융합과 반발을 의식적으로 유도함으로써 성립되며 중간영역적 공간은 공간과 공간과의 연결, 공간의 위계설정, 외부로부터 공간으로의 유입의 결절점으로서의 기능을 수행한다는 점에서 그 의의를 갖는다. 점차 대형화되고 공간의 중요성이 강조되는 사무공간에서 작업기능의 능률화는 목적공간의 비중을 증가시켰다. 그러나 공간내 축을 형성하고 통일된 이미지를 부여한다는 측면에서 접객(Reception), 대기(Waiting), 통행(Passage) 등의 기능을 수행하는 중간영역적공간(Intermediate space)에 대한 연구가 필요하며 본 연구는 이러한 이해를 바탕으로 그 발전적 모형을 제시한다는 논지하에 다음과 같은 방법과 과정으로 연구를 진행하였다. 1. 중간영역적 공간에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해 그 정의 및 특성에 대해 고찰하고 공간의 구성기법을 조사하였다. - 요소의 재구성으로 형성되는 중간영역 - 매스의 변형으로 형성되는 중간영역 2. 사무공간의 개념 및 발전과정, 그에 따른 공간유형에 대해 알아보고 사무공간 내에서의 중간영역적 공간을 정의하였다. 공간의 개방과 분리형태에 따른 중간영역적 공간을 유형별로 분류하고 사례를 제시하였다. 3. 위의 이론을 바탕으로 사무공간내 중간영역적공간의 새로운 디자인 방안을 공간구성 기법의 유형별로 실험적 모델을 제안하였다. - 디자인의 전과정은 다음과 같다 · 개념디자인 단계 공간을 구성하는 기본적인 요소들을 이용해서 중간영역적 구성요소들을 충족시키는 공간을 도출한다. · 공간디자인 단계 : 개념디자인을 토대로 기존의 연구대상 공간을 중간영역적인 개념을 적용한 공간으로 재구성한다.;Too much calculated adhesion of designing orders such as continued synthesis or pursuit of unity in space design brings about fixation of space and form a universal and homogeneous space. All of the subdivided spaces in one room meet each other with unique function and heterogeneous character. Such a meeting forms a tension in the fixed space and make it more significant and proper space. A cross between objectional spaces of main functioning in a space make up intermediate space of subordinating function in the boundary. This meeting is established by compounding a curve and a beeline, a strong and a soft variety in the visual field: it is established by leading intentional cooperation and repulsion between unit spaces in the functional field: the intermediate space is significant in the point of functioning by linking spaces, ranking spaces, and as a mode of incoming from the outside. As the office size is gradually larger and larger and importance of space is emphasized in it, the promotion of efficiency increase priority of objectional spaces. But in the point of shaping an axel and giving an unified image, it is necessary that the study on intermediate space for functioning of reception, waiting, passage. The study offers a better model as a coclusion by following research method and process. 1. To help an understanding of intermediate space, the study considers the definition and characteristics, and suggests structural techniques of space. Intermediate space shaping by reconstruction of elements. Intermediate space shaping by changing of mass. 2. The study survey the conception and developmental process of office space, pattern, and defineintermediate space in it; and classifies the space by opening, separating form and shows some examples. 3. Follwing above theory, the study offered experimental model of intermediate space by structural technique pattern in the office room. All the process of design is as follows. · Concept design stage Using all the fundamental elements that make up space, this study derives the space that fulfills the elements of intermediate space. · Space design stage Based on the concept design, this study rebuilds the past study-objective space as new space applied intermediate space concept.
