가야금 독주곡 "석류집"의 분석

Abstract

본 논문은 黃秉冀 작곡 <石榴集>의 음악적 구조를 고찰하고 그 작품에 내재된 기법을 밝히고자 함을 목적으로 한다. 연구 방법은 音階 및 旋法과 음악 구조를 각 악장별로 고찰하였고, 다음과 같은 결론을 내렸다. 음계 및 선법에서는 제 1악장과 제 2악장은 다같이 黃, 太, 仲, 林, 南의 5음 음계로 구성되어 있다. 그러나 제 3악장은 仲, 林, 南, 黃, 太의 주된 음역을 가지고 있지만 음계로 봐서는 黃, 太, 仲, 林, 南의 5음 음계로 되어있기 때문에 제 1악장부터 제 3악장까지 음계는 黃, 太, 仲, 林, 南으로 동일하며, 솔, 라, 도, 레, 미 의 SOL 선법의 음계를 가진다. 음악 구조의 고찰에 있어서는 리듬과 선율을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 리듬에 있어서는 제 1악장이 박자와의 관계를 통하여 축소 또는 확대 형태를 구성하며, 제 2악장은 변박이 심한 가운데, 리듬의 반복진행과 음색의 반음진행이 특이하다. 제 3악장은 복잡하지 않는 단순리듬이 특징이다. 선율에 있어서는 제 1악장은 전통수법을 이용한 正樂風의 歌樂지 靜的인 선율을 강조하고 있는데 石榴나무 정의 신비를 암시하는 듯 하다. 제 2악장은 분산화음을 사용하여 伽倻琴의 특성인 화려함을 나타내고 있으며, 빠른 선율진행으로 절정을 이룬다. 제 3악장은 高音役에서 주로 선율이 흐르면서 전통적인 기법을 사용하여 조용하고도 깨끗한 抒情的인 선율로 全 3장을 마무리 한다. 전반적으로 (石榴集)은 제 1악장, 제 2악장, 제 3악장들이 각기 독특한 특성을 가지고 서로 연결되어 있다. 제 1악장과 제 3악장에서의 전통적인 기법을 사용하여 리듬과 선율을 확대시켜 국악의 멋을 살렸고, 제 2악장은 현대적인 기법으로 다양한 화음을 도입하여 伽倻琴 獨泰曲의 地平을 확대시키고 있다. 즉, 石榴集은 전통적인 음악에 뿌리를 두고 새로운 기법을 첨가한 작품이라 할 수 있다.;The purpose of this study is to study and discover both the traditional and new techniques used in the "Seokryu-Jib (A house with ' a pomegranete tree)" composed by Hwang Byung-ki by looking into his work carefully. To do so, the musical scale, mode, and musical structure of each movement are explored. The finding of the study! are as follows: As, for the muscial scale and mode, the first movement consists of five-note scale such as Hwang (黃), Tae (太), Chu˘ng (仲), Ihm (林), and Nam(南) ; the second one of same scale such as Hwang, Tae, Chu˘ng, Ihm, and Nam; the third one of Hwang, Tae, Chu˘ng, Ihm, Nam. As seen before, the notes forming the musical scale of from the first to the third movement are all the same - Hwang, Tae, Chu˘ng, Ihm, and Nam, which is similar to the Sol mode with the misical sacle of Sol, La, Do, Le, and Mi. Its musical structure is examined, especially, in terms of rhythm and melody. For its rhythm, it is discovered that the first movement undergoes its reduction and extension in relation with to time; the second one has a heavily changing time and is characteristic of the repeated progress of rhydme and original tone and half notes; finally, the third one is characteristic of the rhythm, which is not complex but simple. And, for its melody, the first movement uses the traditional techniques emphasizing static tunes with melody as in court music, seemingly alluding to mystery of the house with a pomegranate tree; the second one employs dispersive harmony to boast gorgeousness peculial to a Kayagu˘m solo, reaching the climax with fast melody; the third one has melody run in treble, but with the bass technique to be finished in lyrical melody, quite and clean. In general, the first, second, and third movement of "Seokryu-Jib" are related organically one another with their own features. Whereas the first and the third movements use traditional techniques to expend rhythm and melody to express the flavor of national classical music, the second one introduce a variety of chords with modern techniques to develop the demain of a Kayagu˘m sale further. In conclusion, the "Seokryu-Jib" is one of few works which are rooted in the traditional music but accept new techniques.
