열대어를 모티브로 한 의상디자인 연구

Abstract

The pursuit about beauty which is the human instinct is the human instinct is the desire of self-expression which has been continued endlessly. And, the human beings who have the close relation with nature are maintaining their lives in the providence of endless change and harmony of nature. Ultimately, in the process to express the beauty of nature form, the human pursuit about beauty has been the subject of the material in every field as one form of inner expression. This aspect gave the new and diverse plastic value, with many forms and materials to make nature as subject as a part to express the beauty, in the clothing also. So, the goal of this study is unfold the process to express human aesthetic beauty, by embodying the structural feature of tropical fish, symbolizing it with plasticv meaning, and reflecting it to clothing, through the theoretical study on 8 kinds of tropical fishes among the tropical fishes in the sea, from the form obtained through the observation of nature. And, this researcher obtained the motive from the structural form, gorgeous color, tail, fin and scale to try to find from the tropical fish. And, by transforming and designing the form of observed tropical fish, I made the plastic meaning attendant upon it as the theoretical background. In the work manufacture, I manufactured 6 pieces of real thing manufacture and 2 pieces of illust, by finding the characteristic elements from expressing the image of tropical fish and applying them to each work. The result in this study could be obtained as follows : First, by connecting the consciousness about beauty with the clothing through the study on the tropical fish, I instill the plastic meaning. Second, I suggested the seasonal time by symbolizing it into summer, in the clothing to apply the transformed design of color and form of tropical fish. Third, from the viewpoint that the tropical fish is the moving plastic subject, I suggested the dimension of meaning that the clothing to apply the transformed design of motive of tropical fish is another moving plastic object in weraing it on the human body. Fourth, by reflecting the gorgeous and strong peculiar color tone of tropical fish to clothing through the motive which is tropical fish, I could heighten the visual effect. Like above, it could be recognized that the subject which is nature can be the subject of diverse material from small thing to big thing. And, it can be recognized that the things in this nature contribute toward the work to make one attractive art work largely and offer the infinite expression possibility by our imagination. This, in the future, in the lothing design as the plastic art form enabling the popular expression of clothing to used the design motive which made the nature as subject, on the basis of the sensitive experience attendant upon it, it is deemed that the study development which is more close to nature image will be necessary, and it is considered that we will have to lead the environment of clothing culture which is suitable for moder times.;인간의 본능인 미에 대한 추구는 끊임없이 계속되어 온 자기 표현에의 욕구이며, 자연과의 밀접한 관계를 이루고 사는 인간은 자연의 끊임없는 변화와 조화의 섭리안에서 그 삶을 유지하고 있다. 궁극적으로 인간의 미에 대한 추구는 내적 표출의 한 형태로서 자연 형상의 아름다움을 표현하는 과정에서 각 예술 분야마다 그 소재의 대상이 되어왔다. 이러한 양상은 의상에 있어서도 미를 표현해 내는 한 일환으로 자연을 대상으로 한 많은 형태와 소재로써 새롭고 다양한 조형적 가치를 부여하였다. 이에 본 연구는 자연의 형상 가운데 바다속 열대어들 중에서 여덟 종류의 열대어들을 모티브로 하여 조형적 의미로 상징화하여 의상디자인에 반영하였다. 열대어가 살아 움직이는 모티브임을 응용하여 디자인함으로써 의상이 인간에게 걸쳐졌을때의 움직이는 조형미를 더욱 아름답게 표현하고자 하였으며, 열대어의 형태와 색채를 도입한 의상 디자인을 통해 자연과 인간의 조화로움을 제시하고 새로운 의미의 자연이미지의 미적 가치를 찾고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 열대어에서 찾고자 하는 구조적인 형태와 화려한 색채와 꼬리, 지느러미, 비늘등에서 그 모티브를 찾고, 관찰된 열대에 형태를 관찰하고 변형 디자인하여 그에 따른 조형적 의미에 대한 이론적 배경을 자료로 하였다. 본 연구의 방법은 열대어에 대한 이론적 배경을 근거자료로서 문헌자료와 실물을 표집하여 정리, 분석하였고 이를 토대로 작품을 제작하였다. 작품제작은 열대어의 이미지를 표현함에 있어 특징적인 요소를 각 작품에 적용하여 실물제작 6점과, 일러스트 2점으로 제작하였다. 본 연구에서의 결과는 다음과 같이 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 열대어에 대한 고찰을 통해 자연의 미에 대한 의식을 의상으로 연관시켜 조형적 의미를 고취시킬 수 있었다. 둘째, 열대어의 색채와 형태의 변형 디자인을 응용한 의상에서 계절적인 시기를 여름으로 상징화함으로써 효과적인 결과를 제시할 수 가 있었다. 셋째, 열대어가 살아있는 모티브라는 관점에서 볼때, 열대어의 변형 디자인을 응용한 의상은 인체에 걸쳐졌을때에 또하나의 스스로 움직이는 조형물이라는 의미의 차원을 제시할 수 있었다. 넷째, 열대어라는 모티브를 통해 화려하면서도 강한 열대어 특유의 색상을 의상에 반영함으로써 시각적 효과를 높일 수 있었다. 이상의 결과로 자연대상은 작은것에서 큰것에 이르기까지 다양한 소재의 대상될 수 있음을 인식할 수 있었고, 이러한 자연속의 사물들은 우리의 상상력에 의해 매력있는 하나의 예술작품을 만드는 일에 크게 이바지 하며 무한한 표현 가능성을 제공함을 인식할 수 있다. 따라서, 앞으로 자연대상을 모티브로 응용한 의상의 대중적 표현을 가능케 하기위한 조형 예술로써의 의상 디자인에 대한 노력이 필요할 것으로 보며, 그에 따른 감각적 경험을 토대로 보다 자연 이미지에 가까운 연구 개발이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
