有機的인 線에 의한 陶磁의 운동감 表現

Abstract

변화와 움직임이 끊임없이 일어나는 자연속에서 생활하는 인간은 움직임 그 자체인 자연에서 영향을 받으면서 예술창작에 부동보다는 생동감이 넘치는 역동성을 표현하고자 하는 욕구를 가지고 있다 이러한 운동감표현은 선사시대 이래로부터 조형대상 자체가 움직이는 키네틱 아트(Kinetic Art)에 이르기 까지 주목되어 왔다. 본 연구자는 예술가의 심리적인 창작욕구를 자연스럽고 생동감있게 표현할 수 있는 유기적인 선을 이용하여 이러한 운동감을 도자에 표현하고자 한다. 그러므로 본 연구의 목적은 조형예술에서의 운동감을 이해하며 유기적인 선의 동세에 의해 도자의 형태가 역동적으로 변화하는 것을 조형화하고자 하였다. 이론적 배경으로는 예술창작의 표현 욕구를 충족시켜주는 조형요소들 중 가장 뚜렷하게 대상을 형상화하고 사물의 특징을 잘 나타낼 수 있는 선의 개념과 특징과 더불어 조형에서의 선의 종류들을 살펴보았다. 또한 보는 사람의 주의력을 끄는 매우 강력한 시지각대상인 운동감이 조형예술에서는 어떻게 표현되는가와 조형에 운동감을 주는 요인들인 곡선, 동적 통일, 점이, 율동성, 반복, 창조적인 창의성에 관하여 살펴보았다. 표현방법으로는 실제적으로 움직이지 않는 도자에 일반적인 조형요소 중에서 특히 선이 가지고 있는 특징에 의해 운동감을 가지고 있는 듯이 보이는 환영(幻影)을 주는 방법으로 하였다. 작품제작 방법은 석고틀을 이용한 이장주입성형과 압축성형으로 하였다. 원형제작을 필요로 하는 이러한 방법을 선택한 이유는 비대칭적이며 역동적인 형태를 자유롭게 성형함으로써 실제 작품제작에서 본연구자가 원하는 형태를 신중하게 얻을 수 있기 때문이다. 태토는 이장용으로 사용하기에 백색도가 높은 백색 자기토와 압축성형시 점력이 강하고 파손율이 적은 산청토를 사용하였다. 그리고 모든 작품은 0.7㎥ 석유가마에서 9시간동안 소성후 900℃에서 마무리하였으며 1차소성을 한뒤 각 작품의 특징과 의도에 따라 산화철이 첨가된 베이지색 유약, 투명유, 코발트 망간 산화철이 첨가된 검정색유약, 백색 매트 유약을 분무시유하였으며 2차소성은 1.5㎥ 가스 가마에서 11시간동안 산화소성한 후 1240℃에서 마감하였다. 이상에서와 같이 본 연구자는 유기적인 선에 의해서 도자에 운동감을 표현하고자 하였다. 역동적이며 생동감이 넘치는 운동감표현은 조형요소, 운동감을 주는 요인들을 작품의 조형성을 생각해서 적절하게 작업에 도입할때 성공적으로 표현이 가능해짐을 체험하였다. 이러한 체험을 토대로 계속 조형의 변화와 논리를 연구, 발전시킬 것이다.;Man living in nature which is an endless chain of change and motion, is greatly affected by nature which in itself is movement, and thus desives to express vivacity not staticity in the creative arts. In reality the formative objects are motionless but the essential characteristics of such elements creates the illusion of expressing motion. This study proposes to express the sense of motion by using organic lines in ceramic wares and fulfill the creative desires to express such movement. As the theoretical background, the concept of lines and the types and traits of lines were explored as the most appropriate formative element aiming to realize the characteristics of objects in creative arts. Furthermore, the elements allowing for motion to be expressed in formative arts which are in essence static, and the methods in which such elements expressed themselves, catching the atlention of those who appreciate art, were studied. The process utilized in the actual creating were slip casting method and press methods by use of plaster frames. The clay was white ceramic clay and Sanchungto. All of th works were subjected to primary firing in a gasoline kiln at 900℃ of 0.7㎥ and the secondary firing was oxygenated in gas kiln of 1.5㎥ at 1240℃. In conclusion, through this study, one purports to express motion in ceramic wares by use of organic lines. The success of each work may be evaluated by the pertinence of the formative element which inspire dynamic expression of motion to the form of that certain piece. Such a conclusion may allow for further studies and development in the theories of form and change.
