실내환경디자인의 학제적 접근방법에 관한 연구

Abstract

지금까지 많은 디자이너들은 그들 만이 가지고 있는 신념을 통해 디자인을 단순히 표현한다는 견해를 가짐으로써 디자인의 근본적인 목적과 창조적 작용에 대한 불확실한 혼돈을 종종 일으켜 왔다. 환경디자인에 있어 가장 궁극적인 목적은 인간형태의 지원이다. 이러한 인간형태를 지원하기 위해서는 인간과 환경 사이에 작용하는 모든 현상을 파악하고, 과학적으로 분석 함으로써, 얻어지는 결과를 환경적 사물에 적절히 반영 시켜야 하는 것이다. 오늘날 탈근대사회에 들어 모든 우주의 개념이 유기체적 조직형태를 취함으로, 단일하고 기계론적인 세계관에서 벗어나 시스템적 세계관, 신비주의적 세계관, 유기론적 세계관과 같은 새로운 이념으로의 변화에 이르렀고, 이로서 인간-환경과의 관계 또한 종합된 하나로서 인식하는 상호관계로 접근되어야 한다는 주장에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 이러한 상황속에 본 연구는 인간과 환경을 잇는 방법론적 연구에 있어 이상의 유기체적 개념으로서 인간과 환경사이의 관계를 가장 효과적이고 타당한 지원성의 인자들을 연구하는 근본 목적을 두고 있는 것이다. 이러한 목적의 수행을 위해 타학문으로의 접근을 시도함으로써 종합적인 디자인 방법론이 되도록 하고자 한다. 즉, 현대과학에 기초한 시스템적, 신비주의적, 유기론적 관점의 심리학 이론인 환경심리학을 통하여 인간의 지각, 반응을 분석하고 이것을 유형에 따라 분류함으로 각각을 환경디자인에 응용되도록 하는 방법론을 제시하는 것이다. 이상과 같은 본 연구의 '환경디자인의 학제적 접근'이라는 기본계획 아래 본연구자는 다음과 같은 방법을 사용 하였다. * 본 연구의 주제인식의 배경암시를 위하여 과학에서의 혁명을 통한 탈 근대화시대의 초래와 함께 새롭게 형성된 세계관을 분석하고 이로써 환경심리학의 성립된 과정을 설명한다. * 탈 근대사회에 있어 디자인에 대한 이념의 변화를 설명하고 이에따른 학제적 접근의 필요성과 이론의 성립을 밝힌다. * 이상의 환경심리학과 학제적 방법으로서의 디자인 이론을 통하여 환경디자인의 실증적 이론을 창출하고 디자인을 위한 방법론을 제시한다. * 환경심리학적 접근을 통한 실내환경디자인 방법론의 제시를 위해 인간과 환경사이에 교통하는 지각과 반응의 관계를 분석하고, 이러한 지각이론을 중심으로 하는 세가지 접근방법을 수용함으로써 각각의 관점에서 얻을 수 있는 장점을 흡수하고, 유용하지 못한 이론을 과감히 버림으로써 새로운 지각이론의 통합을 시도한다. * 이상의 지각이론의 접근을 통한 사례연구과정에서는 지각유형에 따른 조건발췌에 따라 디자인을 프로그램밍하고 이러한 프로그램에 맞춰 공간에 적용시키는 실험적 방법이 되도록 한다. * 앞서 제시된 디자인 프로그램의 종합 및 검토를 충분히 시행함으로써 연구의 미비점을 보완하며 평가한다. 이와같은 디자인 프로그램 과정에서 지각반응으로의 접근연구는 다음과 같은 결론으로 요약된다. * 현대물리학의 변화에 의해 초래된 시스템적 세계관, 신비주의적 세계관, 유기론적 세계관을 중심으로한 환경심리학을 통하여 디자인의 학제적접근(Interdisciplinary Approch)을 시도한 문제해결은 인간-환경사이에서 인간에게 쾌적한 환경을 지원하는 방법론임을 입증할 수 있다. * 본 연구의 지각이론에 의한 접근방법은 합리적 타방성과 함께 직관적 마음구조에 까지 연결시킨 전반적 시스템 입장에서 해결되었으며, 궁극적인 목적인 소외된 인간성 회복과 살아있는 유기체로서 환경을 지원받을 수 있도록 하는데 관점을 둔 디자인방법론으로의 가치를 규명할 수 있다. 이상의 연구는 인간의 심리형태를 엄밀히 분석하고, 관심의 촛점을 '지각'이라는 분야로 옮김으로써, 실내환경디자인의 궁극적인 목적인 쾌적한 실내의 창출이라는 인간중심의 연구라는데 그 의미를 지니며, 나아가 실내환경디자인의 방법연구에 있어서 단순한 직관적인 방법론에서 벗어나 타학문과의 학제적 접근을 통하여 인간의 심리파악을 종합적 시스탬으로 해결하고자 하는 합리적인 방법론을 제시하는 데 그 의의가 있는 것이다.;Many designers presently contribute to the mistaken goal and creative process of design by a simplified belief that design is just a form of mere expression. The ultimate goal in environmental design is to have some type, of effect on human behavior. In order to accomplish this, design must analyze the important relationship between man and his environment including the many existing variables, furthermore, provide design in the environmental ontext must appropriate benefits. Post modern society has reached a point in which the monolistic and machinistic world view must be replaced by a mere organic structrue. Such an approach is known as "The systematic worldview". This view consists of oriental mysticism and the organic worldview. This new approach to the universe is the benchmark in which the interrelationship of man and environment must be perceived. Under the circumstances, this study aism to discover the appropriate variables acting within this man-environment relation. An interdisciplinary approach was utilized in order to illustrate and compose a comprehensive design method. A systemic perspective based contemporary science, together with the cognitive approach was used in categorizing the case studies according to perception. Design were programmed according to the cases and adaption to space was explained through examples. The final analysis consists of a thorough study of the above insights according to comprehensive strenghts and weakness. The results and approach of such design program showed the following. 1) The systemic world view and mysticism cased by the change in modern physics, together with environmental psychology Provide for and interdisciplinary approach design and the study proves that such methodlogy provides for the best suited answers in solving problems between man and his environment. 2) The perceptive theory and scientific basis apply the systemic approach to the mind and psyche, eliminating the alienation of mankind and aids in reflecting the organic structure of his environment. Thus, the study seriously analyzes the psychological behavior and successfully illustrates the point of view that perception is an important goal of interior design as is the creaction of a humanistic environment. Furthermore, the study supports the indirect a methods for interior design, focusing on the systemic and perceptive approaches based on scientific theories, as opposed to the direct philosophy of exising interior design. In effect, the aforementioned method is an analysis of human perception and reaction through environmental psychology into categories by perception, and applied to environmental design. The study supporting the 'interdisciplinary approach to environmental design' utilizes the following methods. 1) In order to recognize the subject matter in this study, the background on the newly established world view accompanying post modernism, the scientific revoloution, and the emergence of environmental psychology was addressed. 2) In Post modern society, a changing theory of design and a necessity of interdisciplinary approach is presented. 3) Through environmental psychology and the interdisciplinary approaching scientific method of design theory, a theory and method for environmental design was developed 4) by utilizing the psychological approach, the study analyze the perception-reaction process between man and his environment, and boldly discards unnecessary liabilities of the existing theory in order to integration a new version of perception theory.
