Abstract
Since the end of the 19th century tonal music has been gradually collapsed and attempts have been made to develop a new musical term. Arnold Schoenberg. born in vienna, made an attempt to more away from tonal music by composing several atonality music from 1908 to 1923. The author composed a "Piano Trio (1991)", which consisted of three unique movements, based on atonality concepts and this paper discuss the study on Pitch-Class in "Piano Trio (1991)". Each movement provides a sense of unity by the use of horizontal or vertical structure with the same pitch structure and also makes use of unison as traditional style, triad, the change of various rhythm and the contrast of the dynamic. The lst movement used the pitch structure with dyad, which is the set of [01] and [02], Tetrachord and hexachord. The 2nd movement used the pitch structure with trichord, tetrachord, pentad and hexachord. Among them pentad, which is the set of [01457], is commonly used in the whole and so it gives the unity of work.;19세기 말부터 조성음악은 서서히 붕괴하기 시작하였으며, 새로운 음악어법의 시도와 발전을 도모하였다.
