Abstract
민간에서 항암의 목적으로 사용되는 전통 생약인 사매 Duchesnea indica (Andr.) Focke (Rosaceae)의 전초를 80% 수성 acetone으로 추출하였다. Reversphase column chromatography를 실시하여 gallic acid, brevifolin carboxylic acid. methyl caffeate, protocatechuic acid, pedunculagin을 단리하였고, 이들 각 compound를 MTT assay에 의해 암세포 독성을 측정하였다. 다섯가지 compound 중 brevifolin carboxylic acid가 human cancer cell인 PC_(14), MKN_(45) cell에 대해 비교적 강한 암세포 독성을 나타내었다.;The whole plant of Duchesnea indica (Andr.) Fock (Rosaceae) has been used as folk medicine in treating cancer. 80% aq. acetone extract of Dl was subjected to Sephadex LH-20 and MCI gel CHP 20P column chromatography to yield compound Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ. On the basis of the spectral data, each compound was identified gallic acid, brevifolin carboxylic acid, methyl caffeate, protocatechuic acid, and pedunculagin. Isolated compounds were screened the cytotoxic activity by the MTT assay. Gallic acid, methyl caffeate, protocatechuic acid, and pedunculagin showed the mild cytotoxic activity against PC_(l4) and MKN_(45) human cancer cell. Brevifolin carboxylic acid showed the relatively strong cytotoxic activity.
