포스트 모더니즘 傾向의 作品에 나타난 '유희'에 關한 硏究

Abstract

It may be said that postmodernism emerging on a large scale after World War Ⅱ came into being to overxome problem resulting from the causes of modernism. To get a concept of a term, you need fundamental elements which may meet its various requirements. The same may be said of postmodernism in Korea. It cannot be established in our term without taking into consideration the subject of Korea and her historical background. The purpose of this study is to study is real meaning as a way to understand the <Post modernization of Korean dancing largely. First reviewed of all, American society, politics, and culture are reviewed with their developing courses and characteristics, since the U.S is the home of postmodernism. Reviewing the situation of Korean dancing and modern dancing to see what changes were made in Korean dancing with the popularization of postmodernism, the study discuss the specific tendency showing in works after the '80s. And, the spirit of 'amusement' in Nam Jung-ho's works where the characteristics of postmodernism are well manifested is defined as a branch of postmodernism to look into which relation it has with 'the amusement' as one of the current of thouhts in time. As such, it is in the hope of defining the <post modernization> in our own society more correctly that works of postmodernism are reviewed in the study.;제2차 세계대전이후 본격적으로 대두되기 시작한 포스트 모더니즘은 모더니즘의 배경속에서 생겨난 문제를 극복해 보려는 의도에서 출발했다고 할 수 있다. 하나의 용어가 개념화되기 위해서는 여러가지 조건을 충족시킬 수 있는 본질적 요소가 있어야 한다. 포스트 모더니즘의 경우도 한국이라는 주체 그리고 한국의 시대상황을 고려하지 않고서는 우리의 용어로 정립될 수 없는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 무용계에 있어서 <후기 현대화>라는 큰 흐름을 파악하기 위한 측면으로서 그 의미를 찾고자 한다. 먼저 포스트 모더니즘이 처음 본격적으로 시작된 미국의 사회, 정치, 문화적 배경을 기점으로 삼아 그 전개과정을 밝히고, 그에따른 1960년대부터 80년대초반까지의 저드슨 그룹의 활동과 특징에 관해 살펴 보았다. 또한 포스트 모더니즘이 전개됨에 따라 국내무용에 어떠한 변화가 일어났는지, 한국무용과 현대무용의 동향을 고찰하면서 80년대이후 새롭게 나타났다고 보아지는 작품경향에 대해 언급하였다. 특히 현대무용 분야에 있어서 남정호의 작품에 나타난 '유희' 정신을 포스트 모던 댄스의 특징이기도 한 유희성과 연관지어 포스트 모더니즘 경향의 범주로 규정하고 그것의 근거를 밝히고자 한다. 그러한 점에서 포스트 모더니즘 경향의 작품을 고찰하는 것은 국내 무용계에 <후기 현대화>를 규정짓는 중요한 요소가 되기를 기대해보며 본 연구에 들어가고자 한다.
