Claude Achille Debussy의 가곡 Quatre chansons de jeunesse에 대한 연구

Abstract

Claude Achille Debussy(1862-1918) was a representative composer of impressionism in modern music history and one of the three great masters of French song. His songs are based on symbolic poetry and characterize impressionistic music by combining poetry and music with ambiguous harmony. This thesis is an analysis of the content and form of the poetry, harmony, melody, rhythm and accompaniment of one of Debussy's early works "Quatre chansons de jeunesse". Before analyzing them it reviews the evolvement of French song, Debussy's impressionistic music, and his songs in general. Debussy's "Quatre chansons de jenusse" express the image of the inner sense of human beings by using symbolic poetry as the motive. The music contains many extreme leaps in the melodic line, and is of a high tessitura. There are places where 'Ah' is used instead of words for technically difficult vocal passages. The accompaniment portrays the atmosphere of the poetry colorfully by using modes, nonfunctional harmonies and vaired rhythms.;Claude Achille Debussy (1862-1918) 는 근대 음악사에 있어 인상주의를 대표하는 작곡가이자 프랑스 가곡의 3대 거장 중 한사람이다. 그의 가곡은 상징주의 시를 주로 채택하여 시와 음악을 훌륭하게 조화시킴으로써 인상주의 음악의 특성을 잘 드러내주고 있다. 본 논문을 Debussy의 초기 가곡집인 Quatre chansons de jeunesse (젊은날의 4개의 노래) 의 시의 내용과 형식 및 화성 , 선율, 리듬, 반주형태 등을 분석하였고, 가곡의 발달과정 및 Debussy의 인상주의 음악과 그의 가곡 전반에 대하여 연구해 보았다. Debussy의 Quatre chansons de jeunesse 는 상징주의 시를 주제로 하여 인간내면의 심상을 표현하고자 한 것으로, 각 곡은 시의 내용과 분위기에 따라 다양한 음악적 구성을 보여주고 있다. 성악 선율은 음역이 높고, 넓은 것이 특징이며, 부분적으로 심한도약 진행이나 가사없이 'Ah'로 일관되는 기교적인 성악부를 갖는다. 반주부는 선법과 비기능적인 화성, 다양한 리듬을 사용하여 시의 분위기를 색채적으로 묘사해 주고 있음을 알 수 있다.
