이미지체계로서의 실내환경과 그 표현과정에 관한 연구

Abstract

정보화 사회 이후의 시대적 관심은 물질과 기능에 대한 가치에서 인간의 정신과 마음에 대한 새로운 해석과 관심으로 전환되고 있다. 이미지는 물(物)적 실체나 언어보다 앞서는 정신적 가치로서 환경에 있어서의 정보 혹은 메세지의 상징적인 전달을 매우 빠르고 직관적으로 수행하는 특성을 지니고 있다. 오늘날의 실내환경디자인은 공간의 세분화, 전문화에 따른 질적 향상으로 고유한 이미지를 요구하는 경우가 빈번해지고 있음은 공간에 있어서 기능이나 구조못지않게 이미지의 가치가 중요하게 부각되고 있다는 것을 시사해준다. 그러나 실내환경 디자인에 있어서 이미지의 문제는 기능적인 건축적 조건이나 합리적인 상업적 요구사항등에 비해 덜 중요하게 언급되어졌으며, 이에 대한 관심도 추상적인 것으로 간주되어 적극적인 연구가 이루어지지 못했다. 본 연구는 실내환경을 구성하는 물(物)적 요소에 정신적 가치로서의 이미지를 체계적으로 조직한다면 물(物)자체의 기능적이고 획일적인 개념에서 해방되어 실내환경의 미적가치를 상승시키고 공간의 고부가가치를 형성할 수 있다는 적극적인 가설을 전제로 하여 다음과 같은 연구목적을 중심으로 연구를 진행한다. * 연구 주제 인식의 배경으로서 사고체계의 변환과정을 과학과 예술에 있어서의 사상적 흐름을 통해 이해하고, 실내환경 디자인의 창조적인 시각으로서의 이미지체계에 의한 정신적 가치에 대해 새롭게 인식한다. * 우주의 본질 및 원형이 인간의 마음에서 시작된다는 동양적 사고를 기본으로 이미지를 실내환경에 있어서의 비물질적인 요소(=정신적 가치)로 가정하고 이미지의 다양한 형성과 표현을 통해 공간의 탈 물질화를 시도한다. * 실내환경을 이미지 체계로 파악하기 위한 이론적 근거로서 이미지의 정신적 가치에 대한 다각적인 분석 및 건축적 요소를 이미지 언어로 환원시키기 위한 디자인 방법론을 모색한다. * 이미지 체계에 의한 물리적 공산과 비가시적 공간을 통합하는 시각적 정보로서의 디자인 요소를 유추하기 위한 직관적이고 세분화된 디자인 프로세스를 개발한다. 본 연구는 이와같은 실내환경의 예술적 전환이라는 궁극적인 연구 목적을 위해 다음과 같은 방법을 통해 결론을 유도한다. * 주제인식을 위한 사상적 배경의 분석을 위해 역사주의적 관점에서 비롯된 현대 미술의 변천과정을 인용하고, 보조 분석수단으로 과학에 있어서의 뉴 패러다임 이론을 접목시켜 사회변화를 예고하는 상대적 진리관을 유도하는 한편, 상대적 가치체계가 내포하고 있는 정신적 측면을 부각시켜 미래 실내 환경 디자인이 어떻게 전개되어질 것인가에 대한 예측을 시도한다. * 정신적 가치로서의 이미지와 이미지체계로서의 실내환경을 논하기 위한 이론적 배경을 다학문적 관점에서 접근함으로써 연구진행 과정의 타당성과 객관성을 확보하고, 디자인 방법론에 대한 구체적인 시각을 제시한다. 이미지에 의한 커뮤니케이션 과정을 체계화함으로써 인간의 환경의 미적 가치에 대한 예술적 전환의 관계를 규명하고, 디자인 방법의 기본적 방향을 설정한다. * 이미지와 실내환경을 결합시켜 실내환경을 이미지체계로 인식하고, 인간과 공간의 독특한 커뮤니케이션 미디어(Communication media)로서 다양하고 풍부한 이미지의 제시방법을 모색한다. * 사례연구를 위한 디자인 프로그래밍 과정에서는 이러한 이론적 배경과 디자인 방법론을 통합, 수용하여 본 연구의 디자인 적용과정 프로그램과 디자인 평가 프로그램을 체계화함으로써 실내환경 디자인의 문제해결방안을 제시한다. * 이미지 사례연구를 통한 디자인 적용과정에서는 공간에 대한 기존의 편견과 습관이 최대한 배제된 순수 조형의지에 의해 연구자의 주관적인 상상과 표현으로 실험적인 시도가 가능하도록 한다. * 앞서 제시된 디자인 평가 프로그램에 의한 디자인 종합 및 검토를 충실히 시행함으로서 연구의 미비점을 보완하고 평가의 기준을 마련한다. 본 연구를 통해 제시된 이미지 체계에 의한 실내환경 디자인의 표현과정은 다음과 같은 5단계로 정리된다. 1. 이미지 발상의 단계 - 범주1. 최초의 이미지 범주2. 이미지 헌팅 범주3. 언어적 이미지 2. 이미지 형성의 단계 - 범주4. 이미지 구성 범주5. 이미지 드로잉 범주6. 이미지 모티프 3. 이미지 변형의 단계 - 범주7. 변형 1:정(正) 범주8. 변형 2:반(反) 범주9. 변형 3:합(合) 4. 이미지 적용의 단계 - 범주10. 개념 이미지 법주11. 이미지 계획 범주12. 이미지 흐름 범주13. 실험공간이미지 5. 이미지 종합의 단계 - 범주14. 평면/입체이미지 범주15. 부분/전체이미지 범주16. 3-D 공간이미지 이와같은 이미지 표현과정을 통한 체계적인 디자인 접근방법에 의한 연구의 결론은 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 1. 공간을 이미지체계로 파악함으로써 기존의 건축적인 구조체계와 비가시적 기능체계를 상쇄시키는 미적 차원의 가치를 공간 전체에 반영시킬 수 있다. 2. 이미지에 대한 적극적인 탐구와 접근을 통해 실내환경 디자인에 있어서의 독창성과 다양성의 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 본 연구는 실내환경의 정신적 가치로서의 이미지에 대한 관심이 미래 실내환경의 긍정적인 방향성 제시에 중요한 의미를 지니며, 나아가서 환경의 예술화라는 미학적 문제의 해결방안으로서도 가치를 지니고 있다는 논지를 이미지 사례연구의 한 예를 동해 입증함으로서 본 연구의 의의를 찾고자 한다.;The sociological trend after the era of info-Society seems to shift its attention from the materials and functions to the human minds and spirits. As being the spiritual value prior to the material entity or language, image is characterized by communicating the informations and symbolic messages producing from our environment very fast and intuitively. Nowdays, the interior environmental design requires more frequently an creative image owing to the qualitical development of the subdivision and specialization of the space. Such a trend suggests the fact that people are more increasingly interested in the image which is closely related with their intellectual actions. In the field of the interior environmental design, however, the matter of image is relatively less significantly mentioned than those of functional architectural or rational commercial needs and also it has not been studied earnestly since it is perceived abstractly. The study first assumes that we can get out of the monotonous and functional conceptions in the material itself. If the material elements which constitute the interior environment and the image as a mental value can be organized systematically and thus that the aesthetic values of the interior environment may be upgraded and the highly value-added space may be successfully established. For the ultimate study of artistic shift in the interior environment, this study is progressed to the conclusion as follows: * The changes of modern arts are reviewed to analyze the background of thoughts as a way to recognize the subject and a relative truth which foresees the future is introduced as an auxiliary way by employing the theory of new paradigm in the science field. Additionally, the point of view for the interior environmental design in the future is established by emphasizing the mental sides included in that relative values. * The interior environment is being recognized as an image system by mixing the image and the interior environment together, The various and very unique expression procedures are explored as an image of the creative communication media both for men and space. * When programming the designs for case study, a design application and estimation program of the study are systematized by synthesizing and accomodating these theoretical backgrounds and the design methodologies said above. * During the application of designs for the case study experimental efforts are carried out as much as possible with the author's subjective imagination and expression breaking from the existing biases or habits within the limits of the possibility. * By faithfully performing the design synthesis and estimation .with the aid of design estimation program described above, what is short in the study is complemented and the standard of estimation is prepared. The conclusion of the study through such processes is summarized as follows: 1. As the interior environment is recognized as an image system, the value of aesthetic dimension which offsets the architectural structure system and the fuction system can be reflected on the holistic environment. 2. Through the positive exploration of and approach to the image, the matters of originality and variety as to the interior environmental design can be solved.
