人間形象을 통한 內面世界추구

Abstract

Painting has changed making close relationship with the background of age. Since 20th century, the rapid growth of science civilization and World War Ⅰ, Ⅱ brought the negation of the traditional ways of thinking in the past and the variation of human consciousness, which, is believed, caused the standard of valuing the beauty of art to be also changed accordingly. In other words, it was accompanied by a new consciousness which tended to receive original conception on art from art for art's sake avoiding human condition through keeping consistently just its own closed world from all external reality, as well as by recognition of art as that the subject of art is only humanbeing. Such tendency in painting can be regarded as the variation of human consciousness according to perceiving its crisis from material civilization in the modern society. In such context of painting, viewing humanbeing as an existentialistic being who leads his life for himself, I studied it focusing on the philosophy of existentialism and art. That is, I lookde humanbeing as an active living being who accepts and overcomes reality without yielding it ever in the irrational condition of life, and have tried to find new possibility to overcome the modern society through expressing human life including indefinite time from the past to the present, inner conflict of humanbeing's in the modern society and the very humanbeing as having spirituality. In expressing human figure, the motif of my work, I've also tried to find a possibility of subjective expressing by transforming it in accordance with the painter's intent, not just representing it simply, and intended to expose humanbeint's inner world above external reality by expressing suitably for the theme and mixing Chinese ink and paint. The world of the works of Francis Bacon (1909 ~ ) who represented human inner world well through human body, David Hockney (1937 ~ ) who tried to represent it by phenomenistic and Marc Chagall who created fantastic world inseparable from reality with unresticted perception and emotion, was referred for this study. In work analysis, I examined and analyzed in what ways were used to represent the objects in my work so that it could help me to establish my own point of view on creating works.;繒畵는 그 時代的 背景과 밀접한 관계를 가지면서 變貌해 왔다. 20세기에 들어 오면서 급속한 科學支明의 발달 및 兩次 大戰은 과거 전통적 思考에 대한 부정 및 인간의식의 변화를 가져 왔으며 그에 따라 藝術의 美的 가치기준도 변화되어 봤다고 할 수 있다. 즉, 모든 외적 현실과 차단된 자기 폐쇄적 世界를 고집함으로써 인간조건을 기피하는 예술을 위한 예술에서 예술의 본래적 개념을 받아 들이려는 의식과 함께 藝術의 주체는 역시 人間일 수 밖에 없다는 藝術에 대한 재인식이 일어나게 되었다. 이러한 회화적 경향은 現代社會의 물질문명의 위기감에 따른 의식의 변천이라 할 수 있다. 이와같은 회화적 맥락 속에 本人은 人間을 그들의 삶을 이끌어 나가는 實存的 存在로 보고 있으며 이를 實存哲學과 藝術을 中心으로 살펴 보았다. 즉, 人間을 부조리한 삶의 조건 속에서도 굴하지 않고 현실을 수용하고 극복해 가는 적극적인 삶의 存在로 보고, 과거부터 현재에 이르기 까지의 무한한 時間이 함축되어 있는 人間의 삶과 現代社會를 살아가는 人間의 내적갈등, 그리고 精神世界를 가진 人間의 모습을 作品을 통해 표현해 보았다. 本人 作品의 모티브인 人間形象을 표현함에 있어 단순한 再現이 아닌 작가의 의도에 따라 變形시킴으로서 주관적인 表現의 可能性을 찾고자 하였으며, 주제에 적합한 표현과 먹과 채색의 혼용을 통해 인간의 內部 世界가 외적인 현상으로 드러나도록 의도하였다. 그리고 人間의 內面世界를 인체를 통해 잘 드러낸 Francis Bacon (1909~ ) 현상학적으로 재현하려는 David Hockney (1937~ )자유로운 감각과 정서를 가지고 현실과 분리될 수 없는 환상의 세계를 창조한 Marc Chagall의 작품세계를 참조해 보았다. 作品分析에서는 本人의 作品에서 어떠한 방식으로 對象을 表現하였는가하는 점을 검토하고 분석해 봄으로써 앞으로의 창작활동에 대한 스스로의 가치관을 설정, 재정립 하는데 도움이 되고자 하였다.
