Constantin Stanislavski 연기론이 극적 발레에 미친 영향

Abstract

Acting in dance is a means that is appreciated as a value of art. Very often, the artistic value of dance is depreciated because of bad actings, even though the dance production is created very well. Therefore acting ability is one of the most fundamental culture which dancer should have. That is why Bolshoi Ballet Theater and Bolshoi Ballet School regard acting classes as important things these days. Since Stanislavski System adapted by them was systematized through their experiences, which brought precise and concrete theories, and based on realism, it has tried to express the truer human natures instead of formal routine and romantic acting patterns. The reason ballet receive positively his theory like this is modern ballet requires more fluent expression techniques to represent works bestly rather than limited whithin routine and monotonous techniques. With these view-points, in this paper, I looked his various theories, and studied the influences his theories effected on dance at large. Dancers can shake off fears and anxieties on the stage by means of concentration and relaxation. The ensemble acting fits very properly 'pasde deux', which is the important form in ballet. To produce dramatic expressions, we may use Stanislavski's 'feeling-memory'. But the most important asserion of his is that dancers should excercise ceaselessly whether they have performances or not. His theory such as is very proper, so it effected widely upon not only actings but also dance at large. As the word that beauty of dance is excellent acting itself, dancers should excercise delicate and natural actings with precise techniques. Therefore I would like to assert that we should include acting classes into dance lessons, and produce impressive stages.;무용에 있어서 연기란 예술적 가치를 평가받는 주요한 수단의 하나이다. 훌륭하게 창작된 무용이라 하여도 연기가 훌륭하지 못함으로써 그 예술적 가치가 올바르게 평가되지 못하는 경우가 많다. 따라서 연기력은 무용수가 갖춰야 할 가장 기본적인 소양이라 할 것이다. 오늘날 볼쇼이 발레단(Bolshoi Ballet Theater)과 볼쇼이 발레학교(Bolshoi Ballet School)에서 연기수업을 중시하는 이유가 바로 여기에 있다. 그들이 채택하고 있는 스타니슬라브스키 시스템(Stanislavski's System)은 배우로서의 경험과 정밀성 및 구체성을 통해 체계화된 것으로서 사실주의를 바탕으로 하고 있기 때문에, 딱딱하고 형식화된 낭만주의적 연기패턴을 배제하고 있으며 인간의 내면을 표출하려고 하였다. 이러한 그의 이론을 발레에서 적극적으로 수용하는 이유는, 현대 발레는 작품의 최대한의 전개를 위하여 틀에 박힌 일정한 표현수법에서 벗어나 보다 풍부한 표현수법을 요구하기 때문이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 그의 몇 가지 이론들을 살펴보고 그의 이론이 무용 전반에 걸쳐 끼친 영향을 살펴보았다. 무대에서의 공포심이나 불안감을 주의 집중이나 긴장 완화로 무용수들은 보다 진실되고 자연스러운 연기를 펼칠 수 있으며, 앙상블 연기는 발레의 중요한 형식인 '파 드 위(pas de deux)'에 아주 적절하게 사용될 수 있다. 발레의 극적인 표현을 위해서 우리는 스타니슬라브스키(Stanislavski)의 '정서적 기억(emotional memory)'을 사용할 수 있는데, 무엇보다도 중요한 것은 공연이 있을 때나 없을 때나 계속적인 연습을 해야 한다는 그의 주장이다. 이러한 그의 이론은 같은 공연예술이란 측면에서 볼 때 아주 적절한 것이라 할 수 있다. 무용의 아름다움이란 관객에게 감동을 주는 우수한 연기여야 한다고 하는 것처럼, 진정한 감동을 주기 위해 무용수는 철저한 기술훈련뿐만 아니라 섬세하고도 아름다운 연기도 함께 훈련해야 한다. 그러므로 하루 속히 무용교육에 연기수업을 포함시켜 보다 감동적인 무대를 만들어야 할 것이다.
