인테리어 디자인에 사용되는 어퍼스터리 직물에 관한 연구

Abstract

현대의 사회구조와 생활방식의 변천에 의해 실내공간의 중요성은 더욱 증가하고 있으며 우리의 생활과 실내공간과의 관계가 밀접하게 됨으로써 현대인은 더욱 아름답고 안락한 분위기를 요구하고 있다. 실내공간에 사용되는 많은 재료 가운데 가구의 주재료로 쓰이는 목재, 금속, 플라스틱 등의 딱딱하고 차가운 재질로 인하여 따뜻하고 부드러운 분위기를 나타낼 수 있는 직물이 요구되고 이러한 실내직조물은 실내 공간을 개성 있는 공간으로 구별 지을 수 있다. 직물은 우리의 요구에 가장 유연한 반응을 보이며 조립이나 재조정이 쉬운 장점을 지니고 있고, 실내 마감재를 비롯하여 일상적인 실내 소품과 가구의 마감 재료로도 그 활용범위가 넓고 생활환경에 있어 많은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 가구의 마감재로는 가죽이나 프린트 직물 등이 대표적으로 사용되는데, 본 논문은 부가가치가 높고, 다양한 색상과 조직의 변화에 따른 특이한 질감의 표현이 무한한 우븐(Woven) 직물을 선택하여 무엇보다도 한국 섬유업계가 당면한 수입 직물 의존과 모방에서 탈피한 고유 디자인의 개발을 위한 하나의 방안으로 직조 패턴(weaving pattern)의 변화에 따른 작품제작을 제시하고자 한다. 또 현대 생활공간의 요구에 따른 어퍼스터리 직물의 용도, 기능을 알아보고, 어퍼스터리 직물의 표현기법과 그 응용을 연구하여 인테리어 디자이너들의 필요성에 부합할 수 있는 직물 디자인에 기여하고자 한다.;According to the change of social structure and life style, interior furnishing have a more important role to play than at any other time in history. Because of the close relationship of our life style to interior space, we want more beautiful and comfortable atmosphere. Among many materials used for interior room, main materials for furniture, wood, steel, plastic, etc., are hard and cold. Because of this, it is required to use fabrics which make the room warm and create a smooth atmosphere. Interior fabrics make a room differentiate. and personalize space. Fabrics react on our demand very pliably and are easy to construct and coordinate. They also are used widely for not only interior furnishing but also ordinary decorative ornaments and covers. They are given much weight in living environment. Among the upholstery for the furniture, leather products and printed fabrics are the representative source. This study is devoted to the woven fabrics, which are value-added and express specific texture for various colors and variation of weave. In order to break from the convention for dependence and imitation on imported fabrics and develop its own design, I present some works based on the variation of weaving patterns in this paper. And this study is devoted to the use and the function of upholstery fabrics which are depend on modern interior space and the need of interior designers.
