행동장애아동 가족진단과정에서의 가족적응력, 결속력 측정도구(FACES Ⅲ)활용가능성 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 '면접'을 통해 가족관계 및 역동성에 관한 정보를 수집하는 기존 가족면담과정에서 FACES Ⅲ (Family Adaptability and Cohesion scale)와 PACI (Parents-Adolescent Communication Inventory )도구를 활용해 봄으로써 가족 진단을 보다 과학적이고 객관적으로 할 수 있는가를 입증해 보고자 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 외국에서 가족진단 도구로 널리 사용되고 있는 FACES Ⅲ를 행동장애아가족 사례 6개에 적용하였으며, FACES Ⅲ를 이용한 가족진단 결과와 가족 면담과정에서 수집된 결과가 어느 정도 일치하는지를 검증하였다. 1장에서는 아동기 정신장애의 개념을 명확히 하였고, 2장에서는 성인기 정신질환과 다른 아동기 정신장애의 특징을 가족관계의 측면에서 고찰하였으며, 3장에서는 이와 관련된 선행연구를 요약하였다. 한편 FACES Ⅲ (Family Adaptability and Cohesion scale)의 이론적 근거로서 Circomplex model을 개괄하였다. 이어 FACES Ⅲ는 가족의 상호작용과 가족간의 일치되지 않은 가족 만족 수준을 일목요연하게 도표로써 제시할 수 있는 도구로서 인정받고 있음을 밝히고, 가족의 정서적 유대감 및 가족규칙, 역할, 훈육, 자녀 통제 등 가족안에서 나타나는 역동성을 포괄적으로 제시하고 있어 가족진단도구로서 활용하기에 매우 효과적인 것임을 실증적이 사례 6개에 적용해 봄으로써 이를 증명하였다. 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. ① 가족진단 도구 FACES Ⅲ를 이용한 결과의 도표화는 면접방식을 통해 나타난 현재 가족의 기능수준과 가족 구성원 사이에 존재하는 불일치를 객관적으로 입증하고 규명하는데 유용하였다. ② FACES Ⅲ와 PACI 등을 활용한 가족 진단의 객관적인 결과물은 부모를 치료에 적극적으로 끌어들이는 데는 다소 부족했으나 적어도 자신들의 태도, 행동에 대한 통찰을 꾀하는데 효과가 있음이 간접적으로 입증되었다. ③ 타 전문가와의 team work에서 사회사업가 업무의 공적 인정(public recognition)을 도모하는데 도움이 되었다. 그러나 사례 수가 적어 여기서 나타난 결과를 일반화하기가 어렵고, 또한 가족을 분류하는 기준점이 과연 한국 전체 가족을 분류하는데 타당한가 하는 문제점이 남아있다. 이를 극복하기 위해 FACES Ⅲ 활용 가능성이 입증되는 연구가 계속 필요할 것으로 생각되며, 치료 초기단계에서 가족의 초기 저항을 없애고 치료에 개입시키는 데 유용한 도구로서 활용될 가능성에 대한 연구가 있어야 할 것을 제언하였다.;This paper was asertained that usefulness of FACES Ⅲ according to case analysis in clinical setting. The Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scale version Ⅲ(FACES Ⅲ) was used to assess family system types according to the Circumplex Model. The system theory- a family is more than the sum total of family members, is related with one another interdependency, and accomplishes family system's homeostasis through dynamic interaction - has made a great contribution to understanding a family. The instrument was designed to provide measures of family cohesion and adaptability as well as both perceived and ideal family funtioning. The discrepancy between perceived and ideal funtioning provides an inverse measure of family satisfaction. In conclusion, FACES Ⅲ was usefulness for proving family function and dynamic. FACE Ⅲ was not enough to lead to parents concerning, but it was proved that their behavior and attitude about their children. In addition, it could be helped between the social work and other professional work as a public recognition. The number of case is not enough, therefore, it is difficult that this conclusion can be generalized. In my opinion, we should continue on research for proving about usefulness of FACES Ⅲ.
