유아교사 양성 교육과정에 대한 유치원 교사의 인식

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 유아교사양성 교육을 통해 교사로서 갖추어야 할 전문적 지식과 능력이 어느 정도 준비되었는지를 알아보기 위하여 유치원 교사의 교사 양성교육과정에 대한 인식을 조사하고 교사의 학력, 경력에 따른 차이를 검증하기 위한 것이다. 이와 같은 목적에 따라 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 1. 교사 양성 교육과정에 관한 유치원 교사의 일반적 인식은 어떠하며 이는 학력, 경력에 따라 차이가 있는가? 2. 교과목에 관한 유치원 교사의 인식은 어떠하며 이는 학력, 경력에 따라 차이가 있는가? 3. 교육실습에 관한 유치원 교사의 인식은 어떠하며 이는 학력, 경력에 따라 차이가 있는가? 4. 교육과정의 현장적용에 관한 유효성 인식은 어떠하며 이는 학력, 경력에 따라 차이가 있는가? 4-1. 유아교육의 기초지식에 관한 인식 4-2. 교육과정 운영에 관한 인식 4-3. 교수방법에 관한 인식 4-4. 실습의 효과에 관한 인식 연구의 대상은 서울에 위치한 사립 유치원 98기관의 교사 225명이었고, 연구도구는 교사 양성 교육과정에 대한 일반적인 인식을 알아보기 위하여 이미경, 박영자의 연구를 토대로 수정한 질문지와 교육과정의 유효성 인식을 알아보기 위하여Peters & klinzing과 McCarthy가 교사교육 프로그램에 포함되어야할 내용으로 제시한 것과 실습생에게 교사교육의 유효성을 조사한 Stahlut등의 질문지를 수정, 보완하여 작성한 질문지를 사용하였다. 자료분석은 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, 그리고 학력, 경력에 따른 차이를 검증하기 위하여 x^(2) 검증, t검증을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 현행 교사 양성 교육과정에 대해 많은 교사가 만족하고 있지 않았다. 학력에 따라 유의한 차이는 없지만 전문대학을 졸업한 교사가 더 불만족하며, 교과목 구성이 비체계적이라고 인식하고 있었다. 경력에 따라 유의한 차이를 보여 3년 미만된 교사가 교육과정에 대해 더 불만족하다고 나타내었다. 2. 전공과목에 있어 중복이 많지만 중복이 불가피하다는 견해가 많았다. 심리학, 교육심리 등의 과목이 유아를 지도하는데 많은 도움을 준 것으로 나타났고, 현장실습과 부모 상담에 대한 과목이 강화되기를 원하였다. 3. 교육실습은 전반적으로 잘 되고 있다고 인식하고 있었으며, 학력에 따라 전문대학을 졸업한 교사가 실습이 잘 되고 있지 않다고 나타내었다. 학력이 높고 경력이 많을수록 실습기간이 길어지기를 바라고 있었다. 4. 교육과정의 현장적용에 관한 유효성 인식은 다음과 같다. 1) 유아교육의 기초지식은 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 교육의 사회, 문화적 배경인식, 특수아에 대한 이해와 국민학교와의 연계성에 대해 부족하다고 인식되었다. 학력에 따라 다양한 교양의 기초지식과 교육의 사회정치적 영향 인식, 아동의 흥미와 욕구 이해, 유아교육의 철학적, 심리적, 사회적 기초의 이해에 있어 전문대학을 졸업한 교사가 더 부족하다고 나타내었다. 2) 교사들이 인식한 교육과정운영에 대한 지식과 기술은 부족한 수준으로 나타났다. 영아 프로그램 계획, 유아의 건강에 대한 계획, 부모, 다른 교사, 원장과의 의사소통, 교육에 필요한 정보를 찾는 방법, 교사의 법적인 권리와 의무에 있어 매우 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 학력에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 3) 교수방법의 기술에 대한 교사들의 인식은 충분한 것으로 보였다. 전이활동은 다른 항목에 비해 부족한 것으로 나타났고 학력에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 4) 교육실습의 효과에 대한 인식은 보통의 수준으로 나타났고 유치원 운영기술과 실무파악을 하기에는 부족한것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of this study is to find out to what extent kindergarten teachers think they have acquired professional knowledge and skills in the course of their pre-service education and to analyze the differences to the teacher's scholarship and career. In order to achieve this goal, some concrete study were set as follows. 1. How do the kindergarten teachers perceive their pre-service education curriculum? Is there any significant differences according to the teacher's scholarship and career? 2. How do the kindergarten teachers perceive liberal art, Educational foundation, and major subject? Is there any significant differences according to the teacher's scholarship and career? 3. How do the kindergarten teachers perceive student teaching? Is there any significant differences according to the teacher's scholarship and career? 4. How do the kindergarten teachers think about the effectiveness of their pre-service education? Is there any significant differences according to the teacher's scholarship? 4-1. Perception about the foundation of early childhood education 4-2. Perception about the application ability of curriculum 4-3. Perception about the acquirement of teaching skills 4-4. Perception about the effect of student teaching The questionnaire survey was conducted to 225 kindergarten teachers of 98 kindergarten located in Seoul. The collected data was analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The differences according to the teacher's scholarship and career were compared by chi-square and t-test. The results of present study could summarized as follows. 1. Many kindergarten teachers were not satisfied with their pre-service curriculum. The teachers who graduated from junior college were less satisfied than those from university. According to teacher's career, their perception was differed significantly. 2. There was considerable gap between the pre-service teacher's program and its application at kindergarten. And there was much overlap in the content of major curriculum. 3. Most teachers were satisfied with their student teaching, but the teachers who graduated from university were more satisfied than those from junior college. 4. 4-1. Teacher's knowledge about foundation of early childhood education was below mid-level degree. Teachers who graduated from junior college were more lacking in understanding of liberal education and child development and knowledge about philosophical, psychological, historical foundation than those from university. 4-2. Teacher's perception about application ability of curriculum was below mid-level degree. According to teacher's scholarship, their perception was differed significantly. 4-3. Teacher's acquirement of teaching skills was above mid-level degree. According to teachers's scholarship, their perception was differed significantly. 4-4. Teacher's perception about effect of student teaching was mid-level degree.
