전통 누비를 응용한 복식디자인 연구

Abstract

Modern society can be regarded as that with technology and information revolution. In this circumstances, modernization of traditional culture and clothing restores disappearing humanity for the sake of beautiful future and recreates traditional beauty as future-oriented value from the current point of view. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to recognize traditional quilting which has been developed as our unique works by reflecting and succeeding our aesthetic consciousness for a long time and to recreat quilting in modern ways within our tradition by understanding our tradition rightly and finding out its value. Thus, by introducing our traditional culture into modern clothing, this study seeks for new traditional creativeness. What follows are abstracts of characteristics resulting from analysis according to research process: In 1st chapter, the purpose, content, and method of this study were suggested. In 2nd chapter, in order to understand general flow of traditional quilting as theoretical background, its origin and development were examined. The characteristics of quilting were investigated focusing on its technics and materials. In 3rd chapter, expression-method of quilting which is demonstrated in formative flow of modern clothing was reviewed from the recreation of tradition viewpoint. In 4th chapter, based on the above analysis and clearing off, traditional quilting was created by applying in modern ways. The design theme was "sky, cloud and rain", which always gives us friendliness. By reorganizing the above as a new expression method through the image of meeting traditional quilting, and focusing on the representation of korean and modern image, 8 works were created. In 5th chapter, the result of this study was explained and it can be summed up as follows: 1. Traditional hand-made techniques harmonized with modern touches by reorganizing the beauty of traditional quilting and practical quality in modern ways. Silk as a major material brought abundant surface effect with soft feel. Changeable and various lines from nature could be presented in a new clothing form with the creator's aesthetic senses on traditional quilting. 2. In modern clothing the introduction of tradition is not just a passive imitation of traditional style, but suggests a guidline creating vivid clothing design which can join international mood by being expressed in various ways beyond stereotype on tradition.;현대 사회는 고도의 과학 기술과 정보 혁명의 사회로 표현되어 진다. 이러한 환경 속에서 전통 문화와 복식의 현대화는 보다 아름다운 미래를 위해 사라져 가는 인간성을 회복하게 하며 전통적인 미를 현재의 시각에서 미래 지향적 가치로 재창조하게 한다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 오랫동안 우리 민족의 미의식을 반영하고 계승되어져 우리 고유의 독창적인 것으로 발달되어온 전통 누비의 가치를 재인식하고 또한 아울러 우리 전통을 올바르게 이해하고, 그 가치를 발견하여 우리의 전통 안에서 누비를 현대적으로 재창조 하고자 함이다. 그리하여 현대 복식에 우리의 전통 문화를 도입함으로써 현대의 이미지가 표현된 새로운 전통의 창조적 가능성을 모색해 보고자 한다. 연구 과정 별로 분석된 것 중 특정적인 것을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 제Ⅰ장에서는 연구의 목적과 함께 연구의 내용과 방법을 제시하였다. 제Ⅱ장은 본 연구의 이론적 배경으로서 전통 누비의 전반적인 흐름을 파악하고자 그 기원 및 발전에 대해 알아 보았으며, 누비의 특성을 기법과 재료를 중심으로 살펴 보았다. 제Ⅲ장에서는 전통의 재창조라는 측면에서 현대 복식으로 연결되어지는 현대 복식의 조형적인 흐름의 경향과 함께 그 흐름에서 보이는 누비의 표현 양식을 검토하였다. 제Ⅳ장에서는 위에서 정리·분석한 것을 토대로 전통 누비를 현대적으로 응용하여 작품을 제작하였다. 디자인 주제는 우리에게 항상 친근감을 주는 「하늘 그리고 구름·비」이며, 이를 전통 누비와의 만남에서 받은 이미지를 통해 새로운 표현 양식으로 재구성하여 한국적이면서도 현대의 이미지를 표현하는데 중점을 두어 총 8점을 제작하였다. 제Ⅴ장에서는 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과를 서술하였는데 그 내용은 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 1. 전통 누비가 가지는 미와 실용적 특성을 현대적으로 재구성함으로서 전통적인 수공예 기법과 현대 감각이 조화를 이루었으며, 주소재로 선택한 실크는 부드러운 촉감과 함께 풍부한 표면 효과를 가져다 주었다. 또한 자연을 통하여 얻게 되는 변화있고 다양한 선들은 전통 누비와의 만남에서 받은 이미지를 제작자의 미적 감성에 의해 새로운 현대 복식으로 표현될 수 있었다. 2. 현대 복식에 있어서 전통 문화의 도입은 단순한 전통 양식의 수동적인 재현이 아니라 전통에 대한 고정 관념을 넘어 다양한 방법으로 표현됨으로서 국제화 시대에 함께 호흡할 수 있는 생명력 있는 복식 디자인을 창조하는 지침을 제공하였다.
