F. Schubert Arpeggione Sonata와 P. Hindemith viola sonata Op. 11, NO. 4에 대한 연구

Abstract

This paper is the study of the recital programs, F. Schubert Arpeggione Sonata and P. Hindemith Viola Sonata Op. 11, No. 4, presented preparing for the M.M. degree at the end of my graduate course. The study includes a brief description of historical background through a large literature cited and analyzed the content and structure of each work. The Schubert Arpeggione Sonate is written for the new instrument of that period Arpeggione and is composed of 3 movements. The first movement is sonata form, in traditional manner, the second movement is compound binary form, and the third movement is rondo sonata form. The Hindemith Viola Sonata Op. 11, No. 4 can be devided into fantasy: the first movement, the theme and variation form: the second movement, and the finale with variation form: the third movement. The melody in this music is made distinctly by the homony processing which is not related with the melody. Using cadence harmony briefly and stably gives an unity to this music. As the best Violist in German at that period, Hindemith gives a concrete instructions to exhibit all merits of Viola, and highly expresses the tone of Viola by using long instrumental range and various changing in rhythm, speed, and dynamic.;본 연구는 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업 연주 곡목인 F. Schubert Arpeggione Sonata와 P. Hindemith Viola Sonata Op.11, No.4에 대하여 여러 문헌을 통한 작품의 역사적 배경과 이론적 분석 및 곡의 내용과 구조적인 면을 연구한 것이다. Schubert Arpeggione Sonata는 당시 새로 발명된 Arpeggione라는 악기를 위한 유일한 곡으로 3악장으로 구성되어 있다. 제1악장은 소나타 형식으로 고전주의 소나타 형식을 취하고 있고 제2악장은 복합2부 형식이며 제3장은 론도 소나타 형식으로 A - B - A'(제시부) - C(발전부) - B' - A"(재현부)의 구조로 되어 있다. Hindemith Viola Sonata Op. 11, No. 4는 환상곡인 제1악장, 주제와 연주곡 형태의 제2악장, 그리고 변주곡을 가진 종곡인 제3악장으로 구분되어 있으나 매 악장을 이어서 연주하고, 제3악장의 변주가 제2악장에서 제시된 주제에 의한 것임을 볼 때 환상곡을 도입부로 한 주제와 변주곡이라는 하나의 악장으로 볼 수도 있다. 선율은 가창적인 것이 많고, 선율과 무관한 화성 진행으로 선율을 더욱 뚜렷이 해주고 이다. 귀에 익은 리듬과 잦은 전조를 하고 있으며 종지 화음을 간결히 안정적으로 사용하여 전체적인 통일성을 주고 있다. Hindemith는 당시 독일 제1의 Viola주자답게 Viola의 기능이 유감없이 발휘되도록 구체적인 지시들을 하고 있으며, 광범위한 음역의 사용자 리듬, 빠르기, 악상의 다양한 변화로 Viola의 음색을 효과적으로 표현하고 있다.
