W. A. Mozart Sonata K. 457과 J. Brahms 변주곡 Op.9 에 대한 연구

Abstract

This thesis is written to study analytically two works among the repertoire performed on October 25, 1989 by the author at the graduate recital required as a partialfulfilment for the masters degree of music. C minor, K.457 and J. Brahms's variation iiber ein Thema von R. Schumann, Op. 9. The two works are W.A. Mozart's Piano Sonata in W.A. Mozart is a composer who completed a classical sonata style. His Piano Sonata K.457 is comprised of three movements. The first movement is composed in a traditional classical sonata form; the second movement is in a ternary form; the third movement has a Rondo form. second themes have opposing characters and the contrast in dynamics is found frequently. The Second movement is very calm and serious. In the opening movement, the first and A thematic phrase is repeated three times while the notes are added. In the last movement, a simple connection of passages and motives occurs continously instead of developing motives. J. Brahms is a romantic classicist and his favorite form was variation. Variation Op. 9 is consisted of a theme and 16 variations. The theme came from Albumblatter No. 1 in Bunte Blatter, Op. 99 of R. Schumann. In the variation Op. 9, the texture, free variation style, and a mature expression show that J. Brahms was under the influence of R. Schumann, and it is a good example of character variation.;본 연구는 1989년 10월 25일에 있었던 필자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회의 연주곡목 중 2곡에 대한 분석적 연구이다. 분석할 곡목은 W.A.Mozart의 Sonata in Cminor, K. 457과 J.Brahms의 Variation u¨ber ein Thema von R.Schumann, Op. 9 이다. W.A.Mozart는 고전주의 Sonata양식을 완성한 작곡가로서 그의 Piano Sonata K. 457은 3악장으로 구성되어 있다. 제1악장은 전통적인 고전주의 Sonata형식으로 쓰여졌고 제2악장은 3부형식으로 쓰여졌으며 제3악장은 Rondo형식을 가지고 있다. 제1악장의 두개 주제는 대조적 성격을 띠며 강약대비 등이 많이 나타나고 제2악장은 매우 조용하고 진지한 곡으로 주제악절이 점점 복잡해지면서 3번 반복된다. 제3악장은 motive의 발전이 아니라 단순한 Passage와 motive들이 반복 연결된다. J.Brahms는 낭만주의적 고전주의자로서 모든 기존형식 가운데서 variation을 가장 좋아했다. Variation Op. 9는 주제와 16개 변주로 구성되는데 주제는 R.Schumann의 Bunte Bla¨tter Op. 99 중 Albumbla¨tter의 제1번에서 발췌하였다. Variation Op. 9에서의 작곡기법과 자유로운 변주형식 그리고 원숙한 표현은 R.Schumann으로부터 영향받은 것이며 성격변주의 특징을 잘 나타내 준다.
