중등학교 교육환경의 문제점 및 개선방안에 대한 고찰

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore any problem of educational environments in a secondary school and to suggest its reform measures to improve the environments in quality. As not only is environment an outside stinulus and a backgㄱound for any activity but also a man is most likely to develop and grow in close relation with such environment a man's behavior may be said the environmental result. Among the educational environments, the period of a junior and senior high schools which is called adolescent, a period of the second birth, is so very important in terms of emotion that the youth in this period who is very greatly influenced by his circumstance is supposed to be properly adapted to his circumstance for his emotional and physical development. His activity in the both schools can be generally classified into three activities : A regular curricular, an extra curricular, and a leisure activities, These activities have their own educational environments which are planned so well that they shall accept all the activities in the given space and that they can meet any requirement of educational contents and methods which develop ceaselessly. The findings of this study suggest as follows: (1) Since the educational environment has a special character to carry out the purposes of education efficiently, it should be planned flexibly in accordance with the present situations of modern education. (2) It is very important to organize a meaningful and affirmative environment for the students in that its subject is the youth whose various development is established in this period. (3) The school life should be vitalized by taking into consideration an environmental aesthetics. (4) An interior design for school should be planned systematically that is can promote learning and stable emotion, namely, a valuable improvement of quality of school. (5) An environment planning should be established that a corridor, wall, door, windows, and so forth have a proper and harmonious pattern to reinforce any various and/or individual characteristic of school.;본 논문은 교육환경 중에서 청소년에게 부여된 중고등학교 교육환경의 질적수준 향상을 위한 문제점 및 요구사항에 대한 고찰이다. 환경은 외부의 자극과 행동의 배경으로서 인간의 성장발달은 환경과의 상호작용에 의해서 이루어지므로 인간의 행동은 환경적 산물이라고 할 수 있다. 교육환경 중에서 중고등학교는 제2의 탄생이라 불리는 사춘기를 맞고 있으며 정서적으로 중요한 시기에 있는, 즉 환경의 영향력이 매우 큰 청소년들을 수용하여 그들의 정서적, 신체적 발달을 목표로 하고 있다. 또한 앞으로의 교육목표는 신체적 성장, 정서적 발달 및 사회성의 발달을 조합하여 균형잡힌 전인으로서의 인간 육성의 방향으로 전망되어지고 있다. 그들의 학교에서의 활동은 크게 세가지 즉, 정규교과활동과 특별활동 및 여가활동으로 규정할 수 있는데 교육환경은 그 공간내에서 일어나는 모든 활동에 적극적으로 수용하도록 계획하며, 끊임없이 향상되는 교육의 내용과 방법이 요구하는 수준을 만족시키도록 해야한다. ㆍ 획일화·정형화 되어있는 교육환경을 인간의 의식에 영향을 주는 또한, 학생들의 창조성을 기르며 인간과 인간과의 교류를 꾀하며 풍부한 정서를 함양시키도록 한다. ㆍ 몇가지 같은 종류의 특별교실을 모아서 배치함으로써 명확한 공간구성 뿐만 아니라 그 교과의 학습분위기가 자연스럽도록 한다. ㆍ 앞으로 변화하는 교육원리에 대응될 수 있도록 융통성 있게 계획 해야만 한다.
