꽃의 이미지를 응용한 조형의상

Abstract

Formative arts cannot be a simple imitation of nature but is a reflection of it on human mind. As human capability of thinking and his wisdom improved, mankind felt the desire to make his environment more pleasant to his eyes. Many works of art were created in that context. Human attire has become an important media for self-expression. Therefore, creativity or three-dimensional shape has been spotighted more than function or practicality when it is understood as an work of art. In this artistic apparel, many designers are applying natural figure to their works pursuing aesthetic value in harmony between artistic sense through human body and material used in their products. Artistic attire made by the author was created from the image of flowers. It was restructured according to the order discovered from human physiological frame and made to tune up to human movement. I attempted to express the image of flowers visually in 3 pieces of clothing and 6 works of fashion illustration. Paper, sisal and silk which were lately introduced to modern formative expression were used. Paper-working and Felting were utilized as a means to produce a three-dimensional work signifying the image of flowers. Artistic attire expressing formating and symbolized image which unloaded the burden of function and practicality has been established as a new part of formative art, It is now challenging new dimension interacting with other fields of formative art.;이 작품논문은 의상을 조형예술의 한 분야로 접근한 것이다. 조형예술은 단순한 자연의 모방이 아닌 인간의 내적 세계를 통하여 나타나는 반응이며, 조형활동은 인간이 생각하는 능력과 삶에 대한 지혜가 발달함에 따라 생활주변을 좀 더 아름답게 하고자 하는 희구로써 대상들이 조형예술 작품을 통해 표현되어 왔다. 기능성과 실용성을 바탕으로 하여 출발한 의상도 자기 표현을 위한 중요한 수단이 되면서 흔히 편하게 입는 옷이 아닌 하나의 작품으로 조형성을 강조하고 3차원적인 조각과 같은 형태에 중점을 둔 미술의상으로 발달하여 갔다. 이러한 미술의상에 있어서 많은 디자이너들이 자연의 형상을 응용한 의상작품을 발표하므로써 인체를 통한 미적 감각과 재료와의 조화에서 조형적 가치를 추구하게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구자는 자연으로 부터 꽃을 소재로 선정하여 생태구조에서 발견한 질서에 의해 이를 조형적으로 재 구성하므로서 인체의 움직임과 조화를 이룰 수 있는 미술의상 작품을 제작하였다. 작품은 총작품 9점 중 실물제작 3점과 패션일러스트레이션 6점으로 꽃을 대상으로 느낀 심상을 시각적으로 표현하고자 하였다. 소재는 현대조형표현의 하나로 등장한 종이와 휄트, 사이잘, 견사등을 주로 사용하였다. 표현방법에 있어서는 종이작업과 휄팅기법을 사용하여 꽃의 이미지를 시각화한 입체적인 의상을 제작하였다. 기능성과 실용성을 위주로 한 의상에서 벗어나 조형성과 상징화된 이미지를 표현한 미술의상은 현대조형예술의 한 분야로 자리잡아 가고 있으며 다른 조형예술 분야와의 상호 작용 속에서 새로운 차원의 예술 세계로 발달하여 가고 있다.
